Easiest iPaaS product.
What do you like best about the product?
The almost flat learning curve and drag and drop implementation make it the best iPaaS product for MSBs.
What do you dislike about the product?
Workato is slightly restrictive because it forces the users to practice best practices, however the support for best practices is not intuitive enough.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We build custom integrations and automation for our clients so that they can optimize their financial operations.

Superb support & implementation
What do you like best about the product?
The staff at Workato are extremely helpful. I've dealt with both the implementation team and the online support team. The drag and drop nature of the product lets you quickly immerse yourself into it. The learning curve isn't steep at all, but there is still so much that it can do. I want to use this product more, but I've already solved all the use cases.
What do you dislike about the product?
Workato does cost money, so it can be challenging getting your organization to purchase it. However, once you've got it, it saves so much time. You can also have non-technical staff getting up to speed on the product leaving your developers free to concentrate on their core activities.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We're integrating between a custom ERP and Salesforce, which has allowed a data synchronization not previously capable. The ability to use standard Salesforce connectors and custom HTTP REST API blocks are most appreciated.

What do you like best about the product?
Reliable, we never had problems with Workato. It is constantly updated with some fantastic new features. We have all kind of integrations and process running in workato

I would like a best way to work in recipes where they are running.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Easy integration with a lot of different services (Azure, AWS, woo-commerce, Google, etc). Easy way to work with webhooks

What do you like best about the product?
We have been working with Workato for 2,5 years and continue to develop new recipes on an ongoing basis. We currently integrate NetSuite with Magento and PayPal but are looking to go beyond this and increase the level of automation further. In 2022, the goal is to start building recipes for Microsoft Dynamics, as our company is moving away from NetSuite.
What do you dislike about the product?
I like testing new features and experimenting, but the licensing model with a fixed cost per recipe makes it challenging to have "minor" automation running since a critical mass is needed to motivate the price.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have automated the task of moving sales orders from Magento to NetSuite, a process that would easily have consumed a full working day for a human. The automation has allowed us to focus on building the customer experience instead.
Powerful and very simply tools for Automation
What do you like best about the product?
This platform can enhance the better working experience for employees and it's simply enough (Low code, Drag-Drop) to empower everyone to build their own automated process with many pre-build connetors.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not complain. But one thing that needs improvement on Work bot for Workplace. Default reply message when people get an error is not editable, and sometimes that message is not related to context and makes people confused. It would be great if we could.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We fixed so many issues with Workato. We cut many processes of time management by letting people manage their time (Leave, OT request, Time correction) via a chat bot, and the bot can be bridging for HR to connect with all employees. We can track their's vaccination status or broadcast messages to all or specific employees about vaccine information via Workato's workbot
Easy To Use Automations
What do you like best about the product?
Intuitive tooling, fantastic Support/Account team. Allows teams to build on the fly automations. It really doesn't take long to get started and you don't need to know coding to pick the tool up.
What do you dislike about the product?
Occasionally I find that they don't yet have connectors I need. There are occasionally things I'd like to do which prove significantly more work than they'd seem due to limitations in the tool.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Massively improved process automation. Across IT we're using workato to solve problems in HR/IT/Sales/Order Management/Marketing. Time to value when we bring in new tools is being reduced.
Quite Powerful Yet Easy To Educate Newbies
What do you like best about the product?
Allowing non-IT colleagues to design their automations themselves before we integrate them with our production environment, has decentralised our entire automation strategy.
Along with the very easy to teach interface and programming components, Workato has made it so much easier for us scale up and empower non-IT departments in our organisation.

What do you dislike about the product?
Promoting automation recipes from development and staging to production workspaces is cumbersome; It can be challenging to track without a few manual steps after importing.
However, I know their new Environments feature will improve that process significantly; A full-fledged "diff'ing" tool would be beneficial.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Our entire SaaS stack is now interconnected using a single tool which is not a black-box with no insights. We can quickly answer how our stack is connected and which business processes we're already automating. Our non-technical colleagues are further empowered as my team's attention bandwidth doesn't become a bottleneck.

Easy to integrate the applications with less effort, short time, and it helps to avoid manual actions and saves time.

We can't use any external libraries and packages in the tool if any enhancement is there. In that case, we have to use AWS services like AWS lambda.

Automate multiple applications like Snowflake, Salesforce, NetSuite, Marketo, Workday, AWS, Slack, etc., exchange the data between one app to other.

The Workato platform is intuitive, flexible, and capable. We have yet to encounter a business problem we can't solve or an endpoint we can't connect to.
Compared to other platforms I've worked with, the user interface is much more clean and simple and quicker to navigate, but has super powerful features "under the hood" that are easy to incorporate into your recipes.
The platform is "low-code" which means that I can introduce non-technical members of my business to it and they can learn and leverage it in ways that would never be possible with other platforms. The more you use the platform, the smarter you become as an integrator.
Additionally, the Workato Customer Support team is super responsive and knowledgeable. They care about your questions, and they seem to have an algorithm that assigns you to a common pool of resources over and over again, so you really feel like you have a personal connection.
Lastly, the user community surrounding Workato is vast and active. And Workato does a great job helping to curate great content and host events for like minds to connect.

Importing and Exporting jobs from one environment leaves a little bit to be desired. Sometimes components can be duplicated or connections to a Production system do not always perfectly match the way they work in a Sandbox environment. Knowing what to "select" or "deselect" in a change set prior to importing or exporting can be a bit of an art form.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
First and foremost, we are connecting all of our enterprise systems: CRM, ERP, eCommerce, IoT, Customer Support, and more. Our data is consistent across systems and we are able to police changes that violate our data governance policies in a way we never could before.
We are also able to incorporate new endpoints into our existing data flows very quicly.
And for systems that are more "closed off" in nature, we can even expose curated data points by making our own API endpoints.

Recommendations to others considering the product:
Involve your non-technical business beneficiaries in the decision to some extent. If you do it right, you may even be able to allow analysts outside of your technical team to leverage the platform.
Be prepared with some real use cases that you can try the Workato platform on.
Make sure you vet that your core systems have pre-built connectors, or if not make sure you vet with the Workato team how you could connect with them to make sure it will work for your business.

Previously what would require a considerable effort by an IT Team to put together an automation/integration can now be done by a smaller team in a much shorter timeframe.
The Dev Team at Workato is constantly working to make improvements to the platform and add additional features and functionality.

The price point of Workato can be a bit steep for some smaller organizations.
Some of the connectors could use some work to get more functionality added in, and it would be great if there were even more standard connectors available.

Workato is helping us increase the efficiency of an organization by automating processes that were previously redundant and prone to error.
Without having to worry about manual imports, exports, and manipulating large data sets, business users can focus more of their time on other responsibilities. Workato helps to increase efficiency by allowing the organization as a whole to handle larger volumes of data than they could previously handle before.
