Great simulation and testing solution
What do you like best about the product?
It's a great tool for engineers and designers for product development with a well organised layout and a clean interface it offers a wide range of simulation capabilities and its integration wit CAD systems is a smooth feature.
What do you dislike about the product?
It's integration with cloud based solutions is very limited it's not for someone who's looking for more cloud centric approach
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It provides a a great set of post-processing tool and visualisation option which helps us generate insightful plots, animations and reports which enhances the communication by making it easier for the stakeholders to understand and make informed decisions.

very friendly interface , not so complicated for installation , very high tech support 24/7 with high sla, very robust software with no erros and it is very helpful for the daily use of the industrial company . it could be easy integradted with other solutions .

It is business oriented only to industral companies and factories , when planing a complex project it took a lot of time and computers power , the integration with other sfoware can be complicated and need the support team.

Ease of integration and features
What do you like best about the product?
In my view, one of the most intresting features of Simcenter 3D is its seamless integration with Simcenter NX, a powerful CAD software. This combination greatly streamlines the workflow, boosting both the efficiency and precision of optimization tasks. Additionally, the accessibility to a diverse classification of solvers, neatly categorized to address various linear and nonlinear challenges, further distinguishes this software, enhancing its effectiveness in tackling a wide range of problems.
What do you dislike about the product?
The advanced features in Simcenter Samcef solver integrated in simcenter3D, while powerful and adds lots of capabilities into the software, can sometimes be overwhelming, particularly when it involves complex settings that are only accessible through .dat files and via Samcef syntax and not through the user-friendly GUI. This can be quite challenging, especially for users who aren't deeply familiar with the software's intricate configurations.
Moreover, the issue with solver 402 (which is also based on Samcef solver), which doesn't seem to fully support viscoelasticity settings available in the GUI, adds to the confusion. This mismatch between what's offered in the GUI and what's actually executed in the simulations can be frustrating.
Making these advanced settings more accessible and user-friendly would not only simplify the process but also ensure the users can fully utilize the software's capabilities without unnecessary complications.
Moreover, the issue with solver 402 (which is also based on Samcef solver), which doesn't seem to fully support viscoelasticity settings available in the GUI, adds to the confusion. This mismatch between what's offered in the GUI and what's actually executed in the simulations can be frustrating.

I am using this software primarily to identify the non-linear parameters of thermoplastic material uisng inverse approach (FEMU) in conjunction with HEEDS optimization software, another amazing/ remarkable software from Siemens to automate efficiently the optimization process.

Ability to predict behaviour of product under variety of conditions, structural, thermal and fluid dynamics study under one software package.
Also its ability to integrate these different simulation disciplines seamlessly is the standout feature.

Sometime software with this much functionality can be bit difficult for the new learner and user and hence the learning curve can be steep for them.

Simcenter 3D is a comprehensive simulation software solution which offers a wide range of capabilities for engineering analysis and simulation. It provides tools for finite element analysis, computational fluid dynamics, and other simulation tasks. Having a great support.

The interface is user friendly but the learning to all capabilities requires more time and trainings. Also as an premium software it costly to use. Also, observing some of the software update issues.
