Invaluable insight into our developer experience and engineering processes.
What do you like best about the product?
The unified dashboard that combines quantitative metrics with qualitative feedback has been a game changer for us. Having all our data in one place gives us a holistic view of the developer experience, allowing us to quickly spot trends, identify pain points, and truly understand what’s happening across the team. This clarity leads directly to actionable insights, so we can focus our efforts where they matter most—and then measure the impact of our changes and adjust as needed.
The integration into slack allows for a low friction experience for our development team which has led to extremely high response rates.
Initial implementation was fairly low effort/friction. Especially with slack and some elements of GitHub.

What do you dislike about the product?
Our integrations still needs work. This is mostly an us-problem. Since we're not a standard SaaS company, many important metrics don't fall neatly into DORA or DX definitions, and we've just not taken the time to properly define what certain metrics mean to us and how we should best measure them in the context of DX.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I've always believed that when people enjoy their work, they produce their best work—a view that's been backed by years of research. DX is helps us understand where our developer experience falls short and guides us toward changes to improve our team’s happiness and engagement.
Creating Valuable Insights from qualitative data - at scale and at speed
What do you like best about the product?
DX makes what happens in the engineering flow visible with the minimum fuss. Engaging the body of engineers to provide the on the ground information consistently across a wide range of metrics. This engagement happens timely, and encourages engineers to use DX more than just for responding to a survey. The best results are achieved by teams using the DX regularly.
In addition to the core "snapshot" DX offers several integrations. This allows companies to quickly supplement the engineers' voice with hard data. The hard data is often taken out of context and having both hard metrics and the engineers' voice in one place supports good decisions.
DX provides best in class customer support. Their support leading up and post "snapshot" is incredible. We achieve better than 90% response rates for snapshots, and often it is much higher. This adds to the credibility of the data.
Getting started with DX was as simple as giving the DX team roster information and aligning on the few optional questions. The roster is important to get right as it allows you to report information at team and/ or other group levels.
The other thing about DX is transparency. DX is setting the bar for transparency. Easy, and clear.
Every participant see the who responded and the details of the response. This helps with building trust, and increases ownership. This also increases the responsibility of leaaders to to take action.
For us DX has become the backbone of our functional experience insights. We encourage broad and regular use.

What do you dislike about the product?
That we had to go through contracting with our procurement team before we could get started?
I don't have dislikes about DX.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Getting timely insights regarding aspects of the technical set-up that is impacting the engineering experience.
The DX tool is not a tool for management to hand-down direction.
DX is at the core a tool for the engineer(s) to shape how they work.
(The leaders still need to make decisions, but DX is serving the engineer first ... and that benefits the company and our customers.)

Dx is an easy to implement tool that provides a ton of valuable insight into the SE experience.
What do you like best about the product?
The ability to correlate usage of AI tooling to sentiment toward other areas like documentation, test coverage, domain knowledge and more.
What do you dislike about the product?
There's so much feedback that most of it you can't act on. You have to be mindful of the initiatives you prioritize because you can't do everything.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It's hard to know where the most valuable opportunities are with the engineering experience. What problems exist? Where does it make sense to invest? Dx helps answer those questions in a way that gives software engineers a seat at the table.
Easy to use and very insightful

DX is very easy to setup an configure. It provides invaluable insights into our development org to helps us to ship more efficiently. The tool has a bunch of great integrations and our developers are engaged in the snapshots.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is not much to dislike about DX, it meets our needs and provides us exactly what we are looking for.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
DX solves the problem of exploring the performance of our engineering org. Through surveys and integrations we can get a holistic view of where our development org is at and where we can make improvements.
Improved Visibility into DevOps, Support, and Resource Allocation
What do you like best about the product?
As a Platform Engineering and Tech Operations leader, this level of insight is critical. It helped us identify inefficiencies in our CI/CD pipeline, spot issues in dev environments early, and better understand how much engineering effort was being spent on support versus product work. The integration was smooth, and the dashboards are intuitive and useful for both strategic planning and day-to-day decision-making.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some metrics could benefit from more context or correlation capabilities — for example, being able to drill down from high-level trends to specific root causes more easily. Also, while the dashboards are generally intuitive, a bit more flexibility in customizing views or integrating with internal BI tools would enhance usability for larger teams with diverse needs. That said, the team at DX has been responsive to feedback, which is appreciated.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
DX helps us understand where engineering time really goes.
Positive Experience for Engineering Managers looking to have high level visibility into performance
What do you like best about the product?
I like that there are a lot of reports that exist that I would never think about making. Sometimes I go into DX just to explore and learn new things
What do you dislike about the product?
I would love for there to be places to know more about the source of "industry" data. In many reports there will be a "Industry P75" or some other external metric drawn on the graph as a baseline. I would like to know where this baseline data comes from and "why" I should be comparing my self to it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
DX Helps me get high level visilbity into my team's performance. I primarily use it for PR review and cycle time stats
Increased visibility into code delivery and dev experience
What do you like best about the product?
DX has really helped me better understand how much code my team delivers, in a very detailed way.
Other features such as sentiment over specific areas of the dev workflows, as well as heatmaps across the company have helped highlight what we could do better.

What do you dislike about the product?
Some of the options are somewhat hidden, and it can be difficult to get exact metrics for specific individuals.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
DX has brought a lot more visibility into the software development cycle. Seeing what the trends are for code delivery, failures, volume of code per commit is great.
DX is a product that continually impresses
What do you like best about the product?
We had been running an in-house Developer Experience (DevEx) survey for several years, but participation consistently hovered below 30%. Since adopting DX, we’ve seen a dramatic shift—participation jumped to 95%. The insights we now receive are not only deeper and more actionable, but also benchmarked against industry peers, which was a key factor in our decision to purchase the product.
Beyond the survey capabilities, DX’s additional features—such as PlatformX, Studies, and Data Studio—have proven invaluable. These tools have helped us better understand and improve our engineering workflows in ways we hadn’t anticipated.
What truly sets DX apart, though, is the support. The DX team consistently delivers actionable insights that have directly contributed to improving how we work. Their partnership has been instrumental in our journey toward a more effective and empowered engineering organization.

DX is helping us pinpoint the most impactful areas where we can lean in and improve things.
Essential tool for understanding and improving developer experience
What do you like best about the product?
For over two years, GetDX has been an invaluable platform for gathering insights directly from our engineering teams. It helps us deeply understand developer sentiment across everything that impacts their experience. A key strength is how it puts engineers in the driver’s seat – they highlight priorities and suggest solutions, which is crucial.
GetDX also lets us benchmark our results against similar companies, giving us a clear view of our standing in the industry. We've consistently seen over 90% response rates across all 8 quarterly surveys, achieved effortlessly because the platform handles reminders, sampling, and engagement automatically. Engineers clearly find value in sharing their perspectives.
The platform strikes a great balance: well-structured, predefined questions alongside the flexibility to add custom areas. This gives us both clarity and adaptability. We don't just use GetDX; we actively leverage it to drive and shape our engineering culture.
On top of that, the customer support team is fantastic – they proactively keep us updated, assist with custom requests, and help with integrations when needed. As well as the integration process was also smooth. GetDX supports all major sources we use at Pipedrive, including GitHub Copilot, GitHub Actions, and other systems. It also allows us to bring in custom data sources, making implementation straightforward and effective.

What do you dislike about the product?
One area for improvement is the need for more concise executive summaries and actionable insights per department or team. While GetDX provides a rich dataset, it can become challenging to process all the information, especially when overseeing a large organization. It would be incredibly helpful to have a feature that highlights key trends, surfaces emerging issues, and suggests actions to take. GetDX has already made progress in this direction by releasing an early version of executive summaries, and we’re excited to see how this will evolve further with the use of AI.
Another opportunity lies in strengthening the connection between team sentiment and system-level data. GetDX already does a great job of combining qualitative insights with hard data, pulling in metrics from CI/CD pipelines, resource allocation tools, and other engineering systems to enrich the picture of developer experience. However, what’s currently missing is a unified "team healthcard" that not only reflects how teams feel but also brings in contextualized operational data-like repository quality, service reliability, and similar. This would provide engineering leaders with a holistic, single-pane view into both the human and technical health of their teams. We understand this is on GetDX’s roadmap, and we’re looking forward to seeing this capability develop.

DX helps us solve a fundamental challenge in engineering leadership: truly understanding how developers experience their day-to-day work and what’s getting in their way. Before DX, we relied on informal feedback loops and occasional surveys, which lacked structure, consistency, and actionable insights.
With GetDX, we now have a systematic way to capture developer sentiment across key dimensions like tooling, documentation, release processes, autonomy, and more. This enables us to spot friction points early, prioritize improvements based on team input, and track progress over time. It also helps us engage engineers more deeply, as they see their voices being heard and acted on.
In addition, DX provides benchmarking against similar companies, which helps us understand not just how we’re doing internally, but where we stand in the broader industry. This gives us confidence in where to focus and how to communicate progress to leadership.
Ultimately, DX enables us to drive cultural improvements, increase developer satisfaction, and create a more productive and empowered engineering organization.

What do you dislike about the product?
Have not yet encountered any downsides to using DX. The speed at which they evolve and improve the product is great. Only a few months ago, charts on the Data Cloud side did not have all the bells and whistles, but in a matter of months, DX made significant improvements to the user experience with Data cloud reports.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
DX helps us measure, baseline, and track improvement on areas of waste and friction in our software development lifecycle so we can deliver desired customer outcomes at faster velocity with higher quality. DX gives us a low-toil path for creating feedback loops through their Snapshot triage process.
