What do you dislike about the product?
I think we can have a little more detailed documentation for all the wso2 products.
Clarity on what all features are added to the newer versions and what all is deprecated from the previous one.
Note:- Writing this because there were situations when the same feature is not working properly in the newer versions and we don't have any place to get that info from.

Best Open Source API Management Platform, On Prem or On Cloud Easy to install and use.
What do you like best about the product?
API Manager is a very powerful and best open source API management platform, in my opinion. We have been using it since 2016 and all our customers have been impressed with it so far. Since WSO2 API manager has been on the market for quite some time, they have solutions for all our implementation scenarios.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is nothing that I dislike about Wso2 API Manager, however we think Wso2 API manger can integrate with several other industry Identity Providers for key management. Today Wso2 API manger has out of box integration with wso2 identity provider/ resident key manager and Okta.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
In order to have one single point of access to all APIs, we have been looking for API Gateway solutions. WSO2 API manager provides everything we need, including OAuth 2.0 authentication, throttling, and the ability to publish rest and soap APIs. It has burst control throttling configuration at the API level to protect backends, and it has application level throttling which we use to implement customer-specific limits. WSO2 Manager can send applications and other information to the backend as JWT tokens, which can be used to implement fine-grained authorization.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Other API gateway solution may look more attactive but beleive me this is best API manger in low cost.

In our environment, WSO2 API Manager is being used for various telecom use cases like:
Published APIs for third party developer community. The benefit of the throttling feature is two-fold, this feature is securing the API interface from the high volume of unnecessary traffic and also functioning as key feature in the monetization of APIs.
WSO2 API Manager is providing an additional layer in front of WSO2 EI. All the requests are received at API Manager layer first and then goes down to EI layer through internal secure network

What do you dislike about the product?
Certain areas requires improvement-
1. Migration support of older versions to newer versions requires significant effort
2. The latest version has removed default analytics support and cloud-based offering has restrictions with respect to the data center. Although ELK based analytics is now released but requires a lot of effort to publish API dashboards
3. Currently, it supports a limited billing platform for API Monetization.
4. Patching/Upgrade process may result in inconsistent behavior of the existing setup.
