What do you like best about the product?
Sumo logic provides a customizable platform to be designed and meet your needs
What do you dislike about the product?
wish sumo provided more structure out of the box, a simple feature like auto detect log formats to match FER rules would be a huge benefit. Or Sumo providing a community repo of FERs based on popular log sources
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Sumo is helping detect security threats and become our platform for data manipulation

What do you like best about the product?
Performance was really good considering some searches where span across millions of logs.
What do you dislike about the product?
I believe the interface for composing the queries could be more friendly (structured?)

Analyze service production behavior. Great benefits with dashboards.

It is easy to troubleshoot logs and categorize them as peer different codebase and categories

Still need to have an expertise on parsing complicated json using sumo

What do you like best about the product?
I like the way on how we can create queries using different configurations that provides an option to create very helpful dashboards

I have to learn how to create the different queries but after it is very useful

We have some many microservices with different containers. With sumologic we can create different filter that help us on identifying issue in production

What do you like best about the product?
Like a developer this is a tool that really helps. Its very necessary to know how our applications are behaving. We always heard about put logs in our code, but Sumologic make search this logs in the easiest way.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes you want to know what are after and before your search
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use sumo to look for different environment software problems looking in the logs.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Easy use, excellent for search logs

What do you like best about the product?
Whatever your question is, it's about learning how to write it in a SUMO query, but it can be answered!
What do you dislike about the product?
Performance is not great with longer timespans.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Production monitoring, issues analysis.
Given how SUMO works it allows us to learn things we would've never realized otherwise.

Search query is very powerful.
Scheduled search and alert help us to monitor our system.
Dashboard is another awesome feature.

sometimes the performance is slow, "log reduce" is powerful but it can be improved.

What do you like best about the product?
I think it's amazing how fast sumo can search through millions of logs to find exactly what I'm searching for. The speed and configurability is really great.
What do you dislike about the product?
One problem is sometimes the frontend is a little clunky or lags when loading all that data.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I generally use it when debugging production support issues. It lets us go back and see what happened.

What do you like best about the product?
We use Sumologic mostly for log analysis. One of the easiest tools to create quick dashboards using the logs. We've created numerous dashboards on the fly when we needed to look at some quick numbers and data. We've also help a lot of the testing teams creating dashboards that eliminate the need of scrolling through hundreds of lines of logs. One of the other advantages is with centralized logging the process of going through approvals to view the logs for each servers and applications have now been eliminated. Also the ease of use has contributed to a good adoption rate.
What do you dislike about the product?
A search using keywords gets the results but getting the surrounding messages can be a little tricky and someone who hasn't had much experience with SumoLogic can get overwhelmed while trying to get those messages. I've seen couple of instances where a developer went back to using a telnet client like Putty to look at logs. Once someone has spent enough time with SumoLogic it becomes a default tool to analyze the logs.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
One of the key uses we've seen was during the holidays when we wanted to get the specific numbers and display it in the big screen for all business and this was done quite easily using Sumo. It helped tremendously to analyze the numbers and find issues.
