Best way to connect all of your data in a way that is simple, fast and secure

  • August 17, 2018
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
IBM App Connect allows you to integrate all of your business needs via a single platform. It allows you to bring together all of your data, build custom functions with the help of APIs to streamline the applications and create triggers for various events in the life cycle of application.
What do you dislike about the product?
The development and the transformation capability is not so great. I believe IBM is looking to incorporate some of features of IBM App Connect into API Connect.
The authentications features are no way close to other tools like CA API Management
The GUI should be improved. Maybe the product team should see the other API management tools in their offering.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Securely expose APIs to Intranet/Internet
The on-premise set up of API Connect is fairly easier
The development of API proxy is fairly easy.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
IBM is one of the market leaders in the Gartner's report. Since it uses Datapower as the gateway, an organization which uses DP as a gateway can easily integrate IBM API Connect to their ecosystem.

  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The setup process just takes few minutes and you are ready to integrate your applications. One of the best things I liked about this service is that it's really efficient and robust, means even with a lots applications connected it performs well without major issues and one gets all the data in real time.

They also provide a feature which helps to create easy APIs for the applications.

Also this whole process helps to organize data that eventually leads to better results and saves large amount of time.
What do you dislike about the product?
I have used this service for a long time and it performed well for all my needs and so I am happy with the total experience which means "no dislikes".
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
IBM App connect helps to connect various applications on the go. We also as a large business enterprise have lots of applications to manage. This tool has helped us to organise and manage our applications as well as the data. The dashboard is the place where we are able to keep a watch on different application and the data flow from a single place.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Use this tool to organise your data. It also helps to manage different applications you use for you business. It happens that with large amount of data it becomes difficult to keep hold on it but with the help of IBM App Connect you will be able to control and as well as better understand your data which will in turn help to plan for further developments.

  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
- It totally works in real-time, let it be one application or ten different applications sharing same datastore. it syncs through all of them without any issue. It is robust and handles everything very efficiently.
- The dashboard is too good, allows to manage multiple applications from the same page and also allows one to see stats of the resources used.
- The support is very good, for any issue IBM team respond you 24 * 7 and tries to solve the problem as soon as they can.
What do you dislike about the product?
- The price is too high relative to other services available in the market.
- Some configurations need to be taken care manually while can be easily automated.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
IBM App Connect gives you power to integrate different business applications on the go. We use this feature to manage our applications and share data through them. While all this we need not to worry about security, the tool is trustable and secure. This makes it one of the best.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
This thing is too safe. If you are really willing to connect your business applications and are hesitating because of the trust or security issue, please don't. Start using IBM App Connect, I am sure you will be happy with the experience and also recommend others the same way I am doing.

The best thing about IBM App Connect is its ability to integrate data from cloud and locally stored server.
It helped our organization seamlessly integrate the on-premise services with partner organization.

Excellent platform for data integration on cloud

  • August 14, 2018
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I am using IBM App Connect to create large business applications which are depending on multiple application for syncing the data in real time. So, the changes comes up instantly and there is no wait time. Everything is stored in cloud, so there is no chance of any data to be missing at all.
It also provides hundreds of built in templates to integrate or use customized ones present in the user community. It can easily connect with apps like Salesforce & Marketo and supports old SOAs, micro services, and other APIs. It is highly secured and reliable when it comes to integration of various apps.
What do you dislike about the product?
The overall cost of using it is very high and it can only be used in large business projects so that the cost can be adjusted against it. It is not suitable for small or mid size projects.
Apart from that, it completely serves it purpose.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The best part about IBM App Connect is that it can integrate data from cloud as well as local server storage. Therefore, all our existing client’s data is easily exported to cloud using IBM App Connect without any execution issues and speed is quite good. The overall infrastructure is completely managed by them and we just need to focus on the “how to execute” part and development process. Complex integrations seem to be very easy after we are using it. Everything gets setup within minutes and third party APIs can be easily used.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
IBM App Connect is strongly recommended if you are looking for a reliable cloud storage to integrate your client’ data without using much coding and bothering about infrastructure.

What do you like best about the product?
IBM App Connect is a simple solution to integrate all the data even from complex systems. Its light weight and easy to use platform. Can be deployed in cloud or on premise as we need and they do support from SOA to micro services which makes it widely accepted.
What do you dislike about the product?
the kind of support system they do have is much lesser compared to what their peers provide. very less documented hence we won't get any additional information through other means.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Used mainly for exposing our API's to clients and other 3rd party vendors in a very well secured manner and there by helped us a lot in the way of integration to such complex systems.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
You can definitely categorize it as an enterprise wide integrator which can be used to transform data and perform batch processing. We can easily build API Proxies , usability and also the kind of security they provide also met the standards and there by can be used for our applications as required is what i think.
A one of a kind system that integrate all your simple to complex system and can be deployed into cloud . An easy to use system as well as the functionalities of system make it more attractive and i should definitely recommend to try it once.

IBM app connect, the application integrator

  • August 14, 2018
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
It is a tool of type SAAS, which allows to integrate the data generated by different applications located on public platforms such as gmail, slack, etc. or in private network environments. Implements a graphical tool, App Connect Designer in the IBM Cloud, or on IBM Bluemix, with a large number of connectors and preset operations that help in the process of defining the origin of the data and the receiver applications for processing, which will forming a set of tasks that will form a process. This tool greatly simplifies the design of processes for companies with the possibility of integrating the complex ecosystems of applications that characterize companies today. The large number of popular application connectors can be of great help to integrate this tool as a complement to the ESB (Enterprise Service Bus) applications that are used by large companies and that normally facilitate the exchange of data for internal systems. It could even be used as ESB. It is a good tool for the implementation of the paradigm of "process oriented" very fashionable and necessary to eliminate bureaucratization in companies
What do you dislike about the product?
The design interface of the process could be improved, adding controls to go to the previous steps, undo actions, execute authentication of the app without leaving the original screen
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
facilitates the tasks of designing processes, in a simpler way than with BPM type designers
Recommendations to others considering the product:
can facilitate the design of processes involving public and common-use SAAS applications
