Best virtual training I've had
What do you like best about the product?
It's an incredibly powerful tool for data analytics. I love the functionality and ease of use. An inexperienced user can use the GUI to figure out what they want then utilize the associated formula with that function for future use. Conditions is one of my favorite features and can save a significant amount of time analyzing data. I have several use cases that I'm looking forward to trying out all of which would have taken a significant amount of manual scrubbing in excel.
What do you dislike about the product?
Most of my issues are related to formatting or ease of use. I understand the inherent problem with copying worksheets between workbenches; however, this is a vital function in excel and keeps file/folder structures to a minimum while also allowing sharing of templates and use cases throughout departments. I see this as a need for SEEQ to fix. As far as the formatting issues go, the recent updates have gone a long way to fix some of the more major concerns. A few lingering items would be to create a better table function in SEEQ for creating signals to limit the CSV uploads required. Also, I would like to see additional gridline options (minor/major units, use with multiple axis, etc.), adjustable table columns (customize, move, etc.), and a bulk editor for names/UOMs/number formating outside of creating individual formulas for each signal.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Mostly data analytics and unit monitoring so far, but I have plans to use it for economic evaluations, predicting maintenance, and project justification.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Go through the instructor-led training (or at a minimum all of the interactive training) before attempting to use it yourself. They provided valuable tips/tricks that would have saved me valuable time and avoided a lot of frustration.
