What do you like best about the product?
Flexiblity in creating build projects. It has an easy interface and is a useful structure to do many components of a project
What do you dislike about the product?
Updating the version with a full product install
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
DEV/TEST/QA/PROD builds for our environment. Will be working on a CI/CD approach for the full integration
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Understand your build process needs and plan for using the CI/CD tools for the long run

The fact that in allows us to centrally manage and governance the existing open source product we already use on commercial terms.

Journey to CI/CD with CloudBees

  • May 19, 2020
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
CI/CD as code. We can version all of our Jenkins jobs and treat it as we would any of our other code.
What do you dislike about the product?
Delays in getting the plugins that are available in OpenSource Jenkins. I believe that is the compromise you have to make to guarantee stability and reliability.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Enabling build and deployment automation across the organization. We started with basic application builds to the point now that we have -
- Containers built using the pipeline
- Security testing done in the pipeline
- Working on getting Release Management baked in the solution

Powerful tool with responsive support.

  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Speaking of CloudBees, they support the team of mine and I am impressed with the quick response of theirs and escalation to the proper department. When you wait one day or perhaps 2 to hear from most companies, you are able to fix the problem and be productive during the day.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only cases which haven't yet been solved are actually those that are actually a result of errors in third party plug ins, so I do not reckon there is anything unpleasant about supporting CloudBees.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We work with CloudBees assistance to get outdated freestyle activities and support some bugs we find. We are able to deliver quickly without keeping our developers waiting.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
They're invaluable in training new workers since they react quickly and provide training.

Cloudbees Core - core feature for your business.

  • March 21, 2020
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The company Cloudbees is very involved in our positive adoption of their goods. We have had tremendous help from them from the excellent client experience management and their technical resources, while we carry out Cloudbees Core and our organisation. Cloudbees Core itself provides some excellent upgrades to my team as we handle jenkins resources through various departments, some internally and others externally. Role-based entry controls, mutual personnel, and dual-master musicality support our corporate requirements with an outstanding combination between resource sharing and independence.
What do you dislike about the product?
I do not appreciate its pipeline syntax ,though I can see beyond that as it's a huge change in the old ui-based method of setting up work. I'm still not a fan of the omnipresent usage of plugins even within our group but I will prevent that within my company.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Security contractor direct access control vs the internal customers, mutual awareness of best practices through mutual libraries. We are still collaborating with their center to boost project control which will support my project and others.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Use ClousBees Core if you need a business standard. Use Core if you need assistance integrating it through a broad enterprise, and using qualified cloudbees providers. They're not going to miss it.

It helps us schedule our releases

  • March 02, 2020
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like that I can create extra variants from the dashboard rather from code. this helps us create beta channels for our releases which is great. I enjoy the fact that flags are resolved when encountered and that if the experiment requires some sort of data the resolver function will fire and fetch that information. Not having to set a static object is great.

I also enjoy the instant killswitch. It was required when we were working on an experimental feature that went wrong. It helped us recover from it instantly.
What do you dislike about the product?
The dashboard lacks some sort of sorting for me. I wish I could sort my flags better. The flags itself are great and easy to use in the code.

One gripe I have is with the setup via github. The staging and development branch names can't be changed and are capitalized which has caused some frustration. It's also unclear to me how we can set up the global targetgroup. When doing PR's into any of our branches we get multiple targetgroups for each environment. Sometimes we would like to keep the targetgroup global but we've not found a way to keep it global across the board.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
One major thing we are solving is releasing. We get code out often and we want to be able to assign people to beta tests of certain features. We also want the confidence that we release code that won't break our application. With feature flags we can switch off breaking features that might cause our entire application to break.

We can also target our apps experience based on the customer's needs.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
We've used rollout as a means to get confident with releases. It helps us make our releases stronger and helps us target the right group of people for certain features and experiences.

It's okay

  • March 02, 2020
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The price - you are much more reasonable than some competitiors.
What do you dislike about the product?
Lack of analytics. You can't compete with optimizely or even Launch Darkly.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Feature flagging in development - we have a need to deploy rolling updates of a component across multiple products, and feature flagging allows us to rollw out in stages, and deploy the functionality acrtoss all products at the same time.

Rollout is an awesome product that adds value to any Development/Deployment workflow

  • March 02, 2020
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Rollout makes it easy to create in code feature flags and has a simple to navigate interface for enabling/disabling those feature flags
What do you dislike about the product?
I can't think of anything I dislike about the product currently
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Rollout allows for teams to more easily run experiments in test or production environments by easily rolling out new features that can be rolled back on demand if needed as well as turned on for specific demographics.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Any development process needs to have feature flagging to stay as agile and flexible to customer demands as possible
