Well suited for enterprise usage
What do you like best about the product?
1. DB2 is cost effective compared to most database RDBMS softwares.
2. There is no limitation on any operating systems on which it can be run - it is compatible with Windows, Linux, Mac etc. It can also be used with XML data.
3. Data can be indexed and overall retrieval of data is quite fast and well suited to use with large data loads.

What do you dislike about the product?
Not much, there may be a learning curve but there are lots of tutorials available.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Overall DBMS implementation to support projects which use multiple data sources and large data loads.

Easy to use excellent for the as400
What do you like best about the product?
It's simple and easy to use it's our main database used on as400
What do you dislike about the product?
It's not always the easiest integrate off of between different database types we do a lot of integration between db2 and SQL server and Mongo and conversions can be tedious
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Is very useful for accessing information quickly as well as archiving information
IBMDb2 review
What do you like best about the product?
IBMDB2 is really good for core banking. It is fast and the queries are simple to write
What do you dislike about the product?
IBMDB2 is not open source or free. It is paid software
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Creating database and tables.
DB2 as a datawarehouse for monitoring
What do you like best about the product?
The capacity of DB2 to gather, process and store a lot of data in such a way that analyses can be made quickly,
What do you dislike about the product?
There is nothing to dislike. DB2 is working quite nice for us...
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Create a Data Warehouse to store a lot of monitoring data for analyse purposes.

With DB2 I have Wonderful Experience as a DBA
What do you like best about the product?
As a DBA I would like to say that this is the least problematic database technology I ever worked with in my 20 years of IT experience.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish that GUI should be much better like other competitors.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Performance and SQL Tuning

Great and interesting features
What do you like best about the product?
There have been some interesting features shown in the session like ML Optimizer, Augmented Data Explorer tool and DB2 Graph. I am going to perform POC and find more information on these features.
What do you dislike about the product?
I have not seen any information about DSM tool. I would like to see enhancements on this tool.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I work primarily on Db2 Databases and so work on all kinds of problems : )
Best DB in market that too from IBM
What do you like best about the product?
I have used many DB's in different projects but IBM DB2 is the best I have ever seen. it's so compatible with any kind of operating system and performance wise its so fast & more powerful while comparing to other databases. We are using IBM DB2 for updating our logs, auditing purpose & saving the application data in DB for future reference. When we are making any kind of DB calls to IBM DB2 from our applications it's very responsive & fast. We implemented many complexes stored procedures for calling our applications & during executing those its so responsive & fast.
What do you dislike about the product?
We didn't find any issues with IBM DB2, moreover, it helps our applications to process any kind of data processing.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Auditing, logging & capturing data.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Its best DB we can use any kind of application integration.
Archaic system with no useful online support/documentation
What do you like best about the product?
Can't think of anything, to be honest. This is probably my least favorite database system to use out of the following list: MS SQL Server, MySQL, SQLlite, Elastic, Hadoop, Oracle, Teradata, etc. Would rather use any of these than IBM DB2.
What do you dislike about the product?
You can't declare global variables, after using more than 5 different databases this is the first I've come across that does not support them. There is no online support or documentation that can give you the answer you are looking for. It does not support PIVOT/UNPIVOT functions so you are not able to transpose anything. This system was big in the '80s and died in the '80s. After showing clients who use DB2 a different database system (literally any, didn't matter which really) they were blown away and instantly started transitioning away from DB2 and on to the new system.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
New talent does not want to use this system as they find no online support and know it is archaic (and that IBM is dying/does update their products enough). If you want any kind of data
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Don't consider it
The Ultimate hybrid SQL engine.
What do you like best about the product?
IBM DB2 big SQL engine for Hadoop makes quering the enterprise data from across the organization easier.
With this, we can quickly access data stored in hadoop, run federated queries across a variety of data sources.
Even when different applications having different SQL dialects, Big SQL will understand them and data engineers can make use of this highly!
Big SQL can solve the machine learning problems more easily.

What do you dislike about the product?
Compared to any other SQL engine, i would definitely go with IBM DB2 big SQL and do not find any significant cons as such.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Querying the enterprise data in Hadoop is easily managed by this.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
This SQL engine is definitely worth a try due to its benefits as mentioned earlier. Big SQL can solve the machine learning problems more easily, so organizations and data engineers can benefit out of it.
Lack of information for query the db

What do you dislike about the product?
Lack of information on internet makes it hard to work with
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Quick query and retrival of data
