What do you like best about the product?
Easy to use. Set up by pricing and planning to team for yearly budget and impression allocations to specific products.
What do you dislike about the product?
Search option is a little wonky. You can search, but are unable to select unless unselecting all options.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Simply used for pricing.

What do you like best about the product?
I like that it allows you to tell a story about the data. It organizes it into an easy way to digest it and take insights. I work with a alot of data dumps and this is a must.
What do you dislike about the product?
What I find is that it's not intuitive nor are the products sold to consumers done properly for the company. I've actually intervewed to be a sales manager there (didn't get the job) but had to present the product at the interview so I know what it can actually do and its crazy that it doesn't with the two companies ive used it at. Especially RMN - it would always break and the product is terrible.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Data dumps!
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Make sure its implemented correctly as the product is great but if not used fully it's more of a mess and not used to its value.

Forecasting Features, Out of box visuials are great and collaboration abilities

the cost of the licencing does slow down user adoption

Dashboarding and pulling data from various sources

I would fully evaluate your current data warehouse before selecting a BI tool.

Ease of bringing in any datasource and linking them together.
What do you dislike about the product?
haven't really found anything I dislike.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Current systems did not allow Management Dashboards, only raw data dumps and Excel manipulation. Able to create interactive visual dashboards for the management team to give them the insights to personnel training.

If you are well versed in data mapping, data querying.

What do you like best about the product?
I appreciate the quick functionality and features to dice and splice your data when analyzing marketing metrics and data
What do you dislike about the product?
The data source file needs to be cleaned and scrubbed to ensure that you are conducting analysis on true metrics. Sometimes this can be a pain since you will need to go back and forth between where your source file may be (excel) and tableau.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Measuring effectiveness of marketing program KPIs. We utilize tableau to be able to easily see trends in data from programs that we are running

Good usage for data visualization, but can be costly since the license is expensive.

The ability to quickly dive into the data and explore it

Currently company is trying to use it as a reporting tool. It does the job, but tools like Domo are built to report vs visual analysis

Ability to spot patterns/trends, ask data questions and combine data sources

Great for visual analysis. Has R and SQL integration so you can get really deep into your data

What do you like best about the product?
The ability to manipulate reports and create a detailed and straight-to-the-point report based on any data set. Tableau is my favorite BI tool and makes it very easy to understand and analyze data
What do you dislike about the product?
How long it takes for reports to load sometimes, but that could be an internal issue with the number of reports in a dashboard, not specifically a tableau issue

Defining sales goals and solutions, creating forecasting reports and weekly, monthly, and quarterly business reviews

We map prospects and do a lot of geo tricks to help our internal processes more efficiently
From a sales rep's perspective: slow
What do you like best about the product?
I love the quantity of data that can be managed and the range of reporting and charting options that exist. There are billions of data that I need to be able to access and synthesize into easily understandable stories. This tool allows me to do this.
What do you dislike about the product?
Many of the reports have poor UI, but this may be a characteristic of the report-builder as much as the tool itself. I also dislike how slow it often is. I will often run reports (that I haven't built myself--these are canned reports built by others for use by sales reps) and they may take a long time (usually not more than half a minute) to run.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Culling insights from billions of datapoints. Tableau is one of the primary engines supplying me with data insights that allow me to inform my clients about their performance and ROI.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I don't know much about it from a technical point of view other than what I can figure out from using it as a sales rep. From this standpoint, I find it very valuable in providing crucial data, but I often find the interface clunky and my biggest complaint is how long it can take to actually run a report. Sometimes I will wait for several minutes to actually have the data pull. I'm not sure if this is a Tableau issue or has to do with the amount of data I am often looking at.
Good presentation of elements and an even better organization
What do you like best about the product?
Any data I input is so well organized and well-designed that it is easy to understand trends and answer any questions we may have. Sometimes, I even find answers to questions we hadn't thought to ask yet. The best part about Tableau is that it is extremely fast to get to the results.
What do you dislike about the product?
I have not had any bad experiences with Tableau. It fulfilled all of my analytic needs at the time.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have been able to compare our various strategies with quick data analytics, which has allowed us to determine which companies are best suited for our customers and our profits.

I think that Tableau is an excellent business tool.
