Dashboards made Snazzy!
What do you like best about the product?
I enjoy the easy-to-use interface as well as the helpful online content that helps you go from a novice to quite well trained in a matter of hours.
What do you dislike about the product?
As of yet I have no complains. Data works properly, training steers you in the right direction and the possibilities are quite endless.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We run a logistics management app that tackles problem solving on an operational level. We want to develop and commercialize a product that can show the Executive level helpful and effective dashboards as to just how their business is operating and how better to execute things. Ultimately we believe Tableau can do that and the benefits are quite abundant: on-hand help from the higher-ups and experiences visual builders and full-on support as well as an easy way to connect to the data and build almost instantly.

Make use of the live support and wonderful support team

What do you like best about the product?
I like the ability to customize every area of the Dashboard from the Tooltip to the names of Filters that are displayed.
What do you dislike about the product?
Can be heavy with level of order functions and some of the formulas aren't very intuitive to an excel user.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have extended pivot tables to a more dynamic system that can be accessed at an executive level to view different slices of data via upload to the Online Portal.
Somewhat confusing, but very thorough
What do you like best about the product?
I love the detailed reporting and calculation capabilities of Tableau. The ability to have pre-populated fields to generate templates and reports to share with clients is the most compelling from a sales perspective. From a data collection standpoint, it goes well beyond anything comparable.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike the overly complex layout and cumbersome means of creating reports. While it has complexities to it to assist with creating analysis, it lacks the user experience optimization and intuitiveness that one would look for in a tool like this. Then again, people don't go to Tableau for fancy bells and whistles, they go to have automated calculations and pre-populated reports--check and check.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Being able to create business impact reports and ROI documentation.

It is solid for universal reporting and reports creation!

Data is easy to digest and simple. I love having everything in one space.
What do you dislike about the product?
With all the data we use, it is slow to load.

Metrics and kpis for a call center.

What do you like best about the product?
I use Tableau to identify users at accounts who have not engaged in quite some time. The analytics and output on Tableau helps to ease that identification.

The user interface It is not very easy to use and sometimes it can be a bit slow.

We are trying to identify and contact users who have not used our service in a while.

What do you like best about the product?
I do lots of visualizations, create dashboards and reports using Tableau , it handle large data sets easily , i can create reports within few mins without any difficulty. It is easy to slice and dice data for business to understand the data. It can easily connect to many databases out their.
What do you dislike about the product?
One thing i don't like is it is very hard to connect to SAS software has i use SAS tool to prepare data, and i need to use ODBC drivers to connect and sometimes in my organization it is not allowed to connect using ODBC drivers and lats thing it is very expensive tool.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I used to create reports, dashboards and prepare story line out it. Benefits are i can easily move from one tab to another tab easily and can create lot of filters in a chat and automate lot of stuff. I use server version to publish my report to buisness.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you want to work on large datasets and wanted to automate your reports and dashboard then this it the tool. They have lot of features and options that are not available in other visualization tools which I have used are oracle DVD, Crystal reports, Excel, SAS, power BI .
Tableau Brings Data to life
What do you like best about the product?
It just takes all my POS data and really helps me showcase it in a way everyone in all functions can understand.
What do you dislike about the product?
The learning curve is a little hard at first, but not many complaints

POS data for internal reporting, seeing trends in the market.
A very useful tool - but maybe outsource the report creation
What do you like best about the product?
We have a lot of sales who can't or don't like to pull data for themselves. Tableau is a great option to push data to a large amount of people in a user friendly way. There is also a ton of flexibility in the capabilities of the reporting.
What do you dislike about the product?
Tableau reports take some skill to create - no everyone has the time to hone these skills. We outsourced the report creating to a vendor and have been very happy with what they've created
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Sales Reporting and Quota comparisons. We will most likely expand into other areas of the business. It has been good for saving time.

The visual aspect of Tableau is great, I love using the dashboards.

I don't feel like different types of reports are organized easily.

We use tableau to organize data to then target suppliers who are creating a negative inventory experience for our customers.
