Great Analytics and Visualization, but Integration Is Challenging

  • October 15, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
What I like best about Tableau is its ability to transform complex data into clear, interactive visual stories that drive informed decisions. Its drag-and-drop interface and powerful analytics make it easy to uncover insights without heavy coding or technical skills. I also appreciate how seamlessly it integrates with Salesforce and other data sources, enabling real-time, holistic business reporting.
What do you dislike about the product?
Integrating this system is quite challenging and would likely require the assistance of an expert.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Tableau addresses the challenge of fragmented and difficult-to-understand data by bringing together information from various sources into interactive, visual dashboards. By removing the need for manual reporting, it allows for real-time data analysis and makes it easier to spot trends. This has helped me gain insights more quickly, make more informed decisions, and present complex metrics in a visually engaging manner.

Streamlined Project Tracking with Dashboard Excellence

  • October 15, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I find the dashboard capability in Tableau incredibly useful as it allows me to pivot swiftly between projects and save reviews for each project. This feature has made managing multiple projects much more efficient. I also appreciate the benefit of not having to manually reconcile reports on a weekly basis. Instead, I can quickly pull reports and get back to clients swiftly, which has been a significant time saver.
What do you dislike about the product?
I would like to have the ability to connect Tableau to additional systems or other CRMs outside of Salesforce and to upload spreadsheets. However, it's not within my current role to implement these changes.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I find Tableau automates report reconciliation, saving me from manual spreadsheet tasks, and streamlines team data usage and client communication within 24-48 hours.

Good Visualizations, but High Cost and Complexity

  • October 15, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I appreciate Tableau's great visualization features, which include interactive options and a wide variety of charts. This is highly valued by our salespeople, especially the filtering and drill-down options, providing them with the detailed insights they need. Additionally, I find the easy integration with Salesforce valuable, as it facilitates seamless connectivity and enhances data visibility and reporting, delivering insights that were previously unavailable.
What do you dislike about the product?
I find Tableau to have a significant learning curve, especially with advanced features like calculated fields and level of detail expressions, which require support or training that we didn’t have. Additionally, the cost of Tableau is a major issue for me, as it's expensive considering the need for additional hires, licenses, and managing cloud capacity. The licensing model is also problematic because even being a large organization doesn't mean I need 600 licenses. This expectation complicates things as it doesn't allow us to scale at a manageable pace according to our needs.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Tableau for creating dashboards and gaining data visibility, providing great visualization and interactive options appreciated by our sales team. It facilitates digging into data, offering ease of connection and good Salesforce integration.

Tableau: Powerful Visualizations, but Challenging to Scale

  • October 15, 2025

What do you like best about the product?
What I like best about Tableau is how it turns complex data into clear, interactive, and visually compelling insights that anyone — not just analysts — can understand and act on.
What do you dislike about the product?
What I find most challenging about Tableau is that, while it’s a powerful visualization and analytics tool, it can be complex to maintain and scale in large or fast-changing data environments.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Tableau solves the problem of turning complex, disconnected data into clear, actionable insights that people across the organization can actually use to make better decisions.
