Cost visibility has improved and ongoing usage reveals several areas that still need refinement
What is our primary use case?
I have been testing Vantage Cloud Cost Platform for the last month for my own product and to use it in cost optimization.

I am currently using Vantage Cloud Cost Platform, and it is really positive, but I am hoping to get this feature in the future.
I was able to reduce my costs by approximately 50% and understand where the costing is since I started using Vantage Cloud Cost Platform. For instance, there was a hidden cost.
Integrating with Vantage Cloud Cost Platform helped me, as after integration, I was able to see where the cost was within 24 hours and reduce up to 60% of the costing.
What is most valuable?
The quick sign-up and the easy integration with Vantage Cloud Cost Platform is one of the best features, as I just need to set up a role.
Vantage Cloud Cost Platform has read-only permission and provides creation of a single role in my account, which is one of the edge cases.
What needs improvement?
One thing about Vantage Cloud Cost Platform is that some of the data they need to report includes custom routes.
Vantage Cloud Cost Platform should also provide integration for monitoring the data.
A more generic API would be needed and lower cost with Vantage Cloud Cost Platform, as right now it is costing me a few dollars a day without any usage. If the hit to the APIs can be reduced and you get a small amount, that should be sufficient.
There are many improvements that need to be made, and that is why I gave a rating of six and not ten, as it is a long path for the business.

In terms of money, it offers consolidated billing and ensures that what we are exactly spending is included, so it helps to save money. However, since I have not been able to use it for long, I cannot share the exact number or percentage.

I would recommend giving Vantage Cloud Cost Platform a try, especially if you are looking for consolidated billing and to understand exactly what is happening in your account.
Vantage Cloud Cost Platform is a good tool, but it can be improved with features. It is a standard tool that every other market has, and the cool features and implementation are good, along with good integration within Terraform and CLI.

What do you like best about the product?
Initially the most helpful thing was the ability to compare AWS intance costs in a nice customiseable table. Getting AWS spending was easy to integrate.
What do you dislike about the product?
I haven't figured out a good use yet appart from a nicer looking dashboard, I expected a bit better recommendations. For instance I got a suggestion of getting a reserved instance to save on costs, but would've been useful to get suggestion like "you only use X% of memory of your instance Y, you could save by downsizing the instance to Z" instead.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It makes it easy to see all the spending in one place and compare prices to a certain extent, which can help save money
