Diagraming Tool
What do you like best about the product?
It's fairly intuitive - where to find what, how to created documents, etc.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is a limit of elements that can be added to a diagram
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Documenting the architecture of our systems and our processes. Provides a clean visual for all accessing these documents.

Overall experience really good
What do you like best about the product?
The dynamically indicated spacing when objects are placed on screen is awesome. I have a near OCD level issues with asymmetric designs. The spacing option fixed that instead of having to rework the complete design.
What do you dislike about the product?
The absence of colour highlighting of specific blocks could have been a welcome feature.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Currently a student. Business options not explored yet. Signal and data fliw diagrams for designed chips done.
Drawing process flows

web browser experience
export in multiple formats
pre-defined templates

Recommendations to others considering the product:
less google-dependent
Excellent tool for quick diagrams
What do you like best about the product?
The UI is intuitive and very powerful, and there are lots of good features that make drawing connected diagrams very easy.
What do you dislike about the product?
I would like the ability to add richer custom shapes, with connection points, text fields, alternative defaults for line style etc.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Lucid Chart for quickly sketching out system diagrams and database schematics. It is the quickest and most flexible tool I have come across.
Flexibility
What do you like best about the product?
I use Lucidchart on my Mac, my iPad, and on my Windows 8 desktop machine. The ability to work on the same document seamlessly across devices is an absolute key selling point for me.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing really. Some features are not available in all the clients - but then I simply don't use those features so it's not really an issue.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Network modeling is key. Having a consistent template for architecture designs has been very useful.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It's a good replacement for Visio on the desktop for me - especially given that I'm a Mac user.
My favourite diagraming tool
What do you like best about the product?
The vast array of options! I work as a mobile product manager. I have never run into a situation with my needs (defining in-app flows, features, alternatives) when I would be forced to look for other system. Lucidchart set of tools and customization options alongside sharing, commenting, integration and exporting functionalities always 100% cover my requirements with ease. It has saved me a lot of times explaining my ideas with my colleagues.
What do you dislike about the product?
Minor stuff, occasional annoyance with UI, especially when options density causes Lucidchart to misunderstand what I wanted to do with a click. I acknowledge this is felt by your dev team and being optimized in every iteration.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Defining mobile app functionality, brainstorming alternatives, quicker sharing complex ideas with visuals
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Totally give it a try, spend some time and collect the rewards.
Lucidchart in education process
What do you like best about the product?
The simple way how to make what I want. All time I need to express visually I am choosing the Lucidchart.
All works in easy way and brinks new possibilities. In my lessons I force students to learn Lucidchart as the ability to make diagrams and workflows are necessary skill.

What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes slow responses when working with Chrome. The working with images can be also improved.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Mostly problems during education process. Working in GIScience where are high demands for workflows visualizations tools.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Definitely the one of the best software for diagramming I ever met.
Easy to use and collaborative tool for your diagramming and flow needs
What do you like best about the product?
Its online and easy to use. I can use it on any machine that has browser and internet connection. Even if you have not used any diagramming softwares before, it is easy to learn within a couple of minutes and be in expert in just a few hours.
The best part it is collaborative, multiple people can work on it at the same time. Moreover it can be quickly shared within the organisation and outside the organization.

What do you dislike about the product?
When multiple people are working on it, the refreshing is not that smooth and get laggy at times. Line drawing auto-conencting to objects can be improved. When there is an existing line it draws line all over even under another object.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As an IT team, we need easy access to system connectivity charts, process flow and workflow documentation which is easily accessible. Moreover keeping it updated has always been a challenge as we end up having multiple pdf version all over our document portal.
With Lucidchart, updating is just a few clicks away and just one version of the document.

Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you are heavy Visio, you can import almost all charts but be prepared to do some cleanup.
One great thing about this product is presentation, you can select portions to be visible and then reveal more objects as you present them. Imagine drawing up a data highway kind of chart for your IT environment.

What do you dislike about the product?
- Duplicating a shape requires many key strokes. Wish we had a shortcut to duplicate
- Mindmapping and laying out mindmaps is still primitive when you compare to products like Mindmapper Curio etc. I invariably end up using another product when i create mind-map
- The UI mockup tools are not as convenient as Balsamiq

Lucidchart is awesome
What do you like best about the product?
There are many advantages of Lucidchart:
- a huge amount of shapes available, from "classic" standards like UML and BPMN to iOS and Android system elements;
- versatile and easy to use shapes connection tool: creation of arrows and lines between the elements feels really natural.

What do you dislike about the product?
I have to mention some drawbacks (that drive me nuts sometimes):
- "snap to grid" might be inaccurate and snap shapes a couple of pixels away from destination, that is why I usually turn it off.
- the price is nearly the same as of competitors, although I would love to see more discounts.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The product is really versatile, so we prepare a set of different documents using Lucidchart: from website taxonomy and page mockups to mobile apps user flow reports.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I've been working with this app for more than a year and have constantly seen improvements on all the sides. Previously I've tried Gliffy and Visio but they don't feel as natural as Lucidchart does. Don't hesitate to try it out, I believe you will love it.
