What do you like best about the product?
speeed and spot iq are the two things that we happy about..lot of different problems can be answered in a faster and efficietn way.
What do you dislike about the product?
data movement is a pain and we have IT dependency doing that. thoughtspot can invest more on that
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
getting to information faster from various sources
Super easy & fast
What do you like best about the product?
Rapid queries, and being able to answer questions so quickly. The customization of being able to iterate different visualizations effortlessly to rapidly check on the best option to tell the story.
What do you dislike about the product?
The lack of customization in visualizations for final share to pdfs for clients. The site is not live/shareable for our customers (based on company security), so currently I cannot add additional visuals, or images, or slides to ThoughtSpot. I want it to be a one stop shop to create a data driven presentation. Instead, I take screengrabs of charts I need, and drop them into a Google Slides template. If I want to export to a jpeg, the visualizations change (text becomes smaller/illegible on the charts), so screengrab is the only option I use to maintain integrity of the visuals.
Also, I cannot keep conditional formatting in exported pdfs. If I have a charted that highlights in red negative trends, those are lost on the table in the pdf.
I am not sure which of these features have been resolved with the new updates coming for pdf exports.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Reviewing my sales territory to better understand opportunities, tracking growth of sales/revenue, quickly prepare business performance stats for customers.
I love being able to pull questions while talking to a customer, and seem immediately knowledgeable about their unique needs.

TS Review
What do you like best about the product?
The ability to be nimble with data and it presents in a very user friendly manner.
What do you dislike about the product?
at times, writing queries can take a few tries to get it right
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
we are solving the problem of 'proving value with analytics'. We work with restaurateurs and chefs who get a bill at the end of the month, and don't always see the value in our product. by using TS to show reports of where their diners are coming from and what OpenTable is doing to drive those diners, (hopefully) drives our business case and provides a clear ROI of our partnership.

What do you like best about the product?
Access to data at any point that I may need it (in a meeting, at home, etc.)
What do you dislike about the product?
Some of the recent updates have caused delays in retrieving answers and we have been getting errors more frequently than in the past.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
No longer reliant on the Data BI team to provide us data - myself and team are easily able to search data and customize the criteria as we see fit.
Thoughtspot is intuitive and flexible with an approachable UI
What do you like best about the product?
I like how ad hoc it can be. While it is possible to pull the same reports over and over again, the strength is how flexible it can be. This lets me use ThoughtSpot to pull the most pertinent information every time.
What do you dislike about the product?
I use ThoughtSpot as a field employee in sales, and my team is not full of data scientists. So little things can become such frustrations that my colleagues won't actually use Thoughtspot. For instance, colors that change when you adjust your search, or when you pull two datasets needing to adjust so the Y axes match, and not being able to set a default. These are small things for most companies, but not for a salesforce that needs quick and intuitive tools.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Being able to calculate ROI for prospective or existing clients on granular data points.
Making Insights Accessible
What do you like best about the product?
I love the use of AI to intuitively determine and recommend what matters most to users. The ability to learn over time and leverage the power of community makes this a potential gamechanger.
What do you dislike about the product?
It would be easy for folks to think that ThoughtSpot will solve all of their data and analytics problems, but it's important to educate folks on how to ensure a robust data model to enable optimal functionality.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We're starting with centralization of data and insights related to our Supply Chain function. So far, we're benefiting from centralized views of formerly disparate data sources, which is helping to make connections that were previously difficult to come by.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Make sure you have good data governance and data modeling practices defined and implemented before relying on ThoughtSpot to enable self-service insights. The data must be trustworthy and accurate.
Easiest to use Analytics Solution
What do you like best about the product?
ThoughtSpot eliminates the need to rely on overloaded IT departments to create reports. Even a casual user, using plain natural language queries, can generate insight. The ease of searching, coupled with SpotIQ (AI based automatic insight generation) is a powerful combination for all users.
What do you dislike about the product?
The ability to customize colors, and some other basic 'look and feel' features are lacking.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Being able to quickly deploy an application without having to create complex data models, or dozens of reports for users. ThoughtSpot allows us to deploy in days/weeks as opposed to weeks/months.
Great for ad-hoc/exploratory analysis
What do you like best about the product?
The ability to do ad-hoc analysis at scale along with AI and visualizations
What do you dislike about the product?
Getting data into ThoughSpot seems unnecessarily complex.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Ad-hoc, exploratory analysis and reporting
