Robust but complex
What do you like best about the product?
Circle CI has almost everything one would need to get work done. I especially enjoy the support you get easily due to the large community.
What do you dislike about the product?
Your interface isn't some enough and can get really complex and overwhelming for starters.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Continous integration and deployment.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It can get really complex when starting but don't quit on the first sign of trouble.
What the fuck are orbs
What do you like best about the product?
Integration with existing services, configuration file by far the simplest I've used. Great user interface. Easy to get started (no lengthy introduction)
What do you dislike about the product?
No mobile application. Third party tools available to do this, but wouldn't it be great if I could use it on my phone! What the fuck are orbs? Can you unabstract that please or unfurl what they are as constructs on a more technical level
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Allowed us to use monorepositories for a polyglot codebase.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Its pretty good
Good but not great!!

Hard to figure out complex orchestrations.
No clear documentation available for authentication needs to GitHub.
No clear documentation available for authentication needs to GitHub.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Automated CI/CD pipeline.
generally good, but Docker support can be better
What do you like best about the product?
Clean experience with everything defined in a file. Everything is based on Docker.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not the best Docker support: no layer caching.
Workflows are not really useful because they don't share Docker images between them, and pushing/pulling them from the registry will consume a lot of time, which grows with the size of the image.
The builds are sometimes slow.
The new pricing makes it unusable, so we'll have to move to something else, probably Github Actions or Gitlab CI.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
CI/CD. Docker images building. We used codeship before, where everything had to be configured manually in the settings, and it eventually became messy.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Workflows are hard to make right.
Effective tech, lacks transparency
What do you like best about the product?
Nice web interface, good integration with GitHub, is mostly batteries included.
What do you dislike about the product?
Changes to their API are often compatibility breaking, little transparency on performance considerations, slow to respond to feedback and fix known issues.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Continuous integration workflows for many projects with time-saving configuration re-use. Good self-service with web interface.
Great for production deployment
What do you like best about the product?
It's ease of use. It automatically takes our master branch and runs all the necessary tests to make sure everything integrates smoothly in our production branch
What do you dislike about the product?
At times it would fail due to some deployment errors, but the issues are usually easy to fix
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Since there are many developers in the team, using this tool has prevented many bugs from being merged into production, which could cause our app to crash and malfunction, possibly making us lose customers.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It's a great service that could save you a future headache
Confusing
What do you like best about the product?
It really integrates well with everything.
What do you dislike about the product?
The interface is confusing, seems to refresh data randomly
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Test running and deployment
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Be aware that you will be waiting on some parts
CI for today's workstreams
What do you like best about the product?
usability, extensibility, pipelines, easier deployments
What do you dislike about the product?
less flexible and customizable. Wish it had more ability to integrate with other devops tools
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
easy to use integration and deployment pipelines
Time saving and scalable workers
What do you like best about the product?
CircleCI provides an easy to way to setup projects with multiple workers and pipelines.
What do you dislike about the product?
Painful when you need to migrate 20+ projects from circle v1 to v2
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Continuous Deployment.
Benefits are: I don't need to manage my own CI instance nor hire build masters to maintain my CI infrastructure and builds.
