Ease of execution in script deployment and Registry Modification

  • July 30, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I'm a relatively new Ninja user, but so far, I have been impressed with the functionality of deploying scripts, scheduling system actions, automate actions, and the ability to access and modify the registry of AVDs. This feature has saved me a lot of time and made accessing registries of multiple AVD registries easy and convenient.
What do you dislike about the product?
So far, I haven't found anything to dislike in using NinjaOne.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Endpoint and network monitoring, scripting and automation on a large scale, registry modification

NinjaOne - Easy, simple, efficient

  • July 30, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Ease of use. A vast amount of device information without the hassle of going on a goose chase trying to gather information. The benefit of being able to see warranty information for a large number of computer brands. Easy to support end users with problems, remote support.
What do you dislike about the product?
Consider making report creation simpler, maybe a drag-and-drop report wizard.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Accurate device information is used to provide the business with replacement recommendations. Faster turnaround time on providing end user remote support. Managing our endpoints and keeping them relevant with the latest patches.

NinjaOne has done a lot to help our IT staff be more efficent.

What do you like best about the product?
Remote control and also login on the backend. MDM is easy to setup and implement as well.
What do you dislike about the product?
Like any software it is a work in progress. Being able to search on a phone number in the MDM would be wonderful if we could do that.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Needed a good remote tool that would also give us many details of each workstation.
Also needed a good tool for our MDM to push software out and also be able to shadow the device so we can see what is displayed on the device.

Makes endpoint management a lot easier, integrated remote control and other tools work well.

  • July 29, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The automation the solution brings to endpoints saves time and resources. A good integrated remote control solution along with optional features like remote cmd and powershell sessions. The support team is great and very responsive and the knowledge base articles are very helpful. I can easily see overall health and security of my environment at a glance. The integrated ticketing makes it a great all in one package. The new AI for patch management is really helpful as well.
What do you dislike about the product?
OS patch management and 3rd party software updating works but can be very temperamental. Not very good reporting on why things fail. or looking at failure messages, indicating what device it corresponds to. Very limited list of apps for 3rd party updating as well.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Being able to automate information collection on endpoints is huge. License keys in use, bitlocker status, if certain folders do or don't exist makes things a lot easier for us. The remote management works great and saves us from purchasing another solution. Patch management is better than the old WSUS server days with a lot of reporting available. Using it as well to enforce policies, such as our AV solution and other software packages, enforce power profile settings, makes all that very simple.

Robust platform that's easy to use but not quite ready for MSPs

  • July 29, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Strong integrated remote access app, good automation features, very easy to deploy via Intune or GPO, lots of automated 3rd party app deployments built in, good Windows patching tools, granular controls for organization permissioning.
What do you dislike about the product?
Very poor considerations for MSP's. Cannot move an existing NinjaOne customer into an MSP's tenant without uninstalling all agents and redeploying. Reporting tools can provide deep info about certain functions but don't do the simple things well.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
NinjaOne is providing remote support tooling, automation, and patching.

Ever expanding device management system

  • July 29, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Agent reliably runs on a variety of machines and is always reachable
What do you dislike about the product?
Reporting on software versions is possible but not very intuitive. PDQ inventory is much better at this.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Being able to manage devices which aren't on our corporate network without requiring a VPN

Ninja One Review from the viewpoint of updates and patching

  • July 29, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Run scripts on many devices
Schedule scripts for device groups
Easy policy scaling via inheritance
Many remote support tools
Run scripts in multiple contexts
Custom fields for device tracking
What do you dislike about the product?
Weak Mac and Linux support
Limited software reporting
No registry value reports
Lacks device settings reports
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As a Senior IT Analyst managing a diverse fleet of endpoints, I’ve found NinjaOne to be a solid Remote Monitoring and Management (RMM) platform, particularly when it comes to scripting and patching workflows. Here’s a breakdown of my experience, especially from the viewpoint of updates and patching.

What Works Well
Script Execution at Scale: One of NinjaOne’s standout strengths is its ability to run large volumes of scripts across multiple devices or groups. Whether it’s routine maintenance or emergency fixes, the scheduling and targeting capabilities are robust and reliable.

Policy Inheritance: Managing patching policies across a growing number of devices is made easier with policy inheritance. It allows for scalable configuration management without duplicating effort.

Remote Support Tools: NinjaOne includes a wide array of remote access tools, which are invaluable for manual interventions. These tools integrate smoothly into the platform, reducing the need for third-party solutions.

Flexible Script Contexts: Scripts and installers can be executed in various contexts (system, user, etc.), offering flexibility for different patching and configuration scenarios.

Custom Fields: Perhaps NinjaOne’s most underrated feature, custom fields allow for detailed device tracking. This is especially useful for patching workflows where specific device attributes (like BIOS version or custom software flags) need to be monitored.

What do you like best about the product?
I’m thoroughly impressed with NinjaOne – both in terms of functionality and design. The look and feel is modern, intuitive, and well thought-out. It makes day-to-day work much more pleasant and efficient.
What do you dislike about the product?
At the moment, there is no long-term performance documentation available, which would be helpful for deeper evaluations over time. Additionally, the pricing could be more competitive, especially for smaller MSPs or businesses with tighter budgets.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
NinjaOne helps us centralize and streamline endpoint management, patching, monitoring, and remote support – all from a single, intuitive platform. This significantly reduces our response times, improves service quality for our clients, and increases overall operational efficiency. It also minimizes tool sprawl, making our workflows much more cohesive and manageable.

What do you like best about the product?
It is helpful to be able to view all my customers in one pane of glass and manage them from a single location. I like the reporting capability and the ability to deploy software remotely.
What do you dislike about the product?
It's not as easy to work in an environment with multiple technicians. I wish it were a little more flexible in that regard.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Makes it easy to provide and track remote support
