Great for large teams

  • November 02, 2016
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Wrike is a tool I would definitely recommend to companies or agencies with multiple teams and a large number of employees. Its capabilities seem to far exceed other softwares in the category, and, in other cases, was the first to implement many features.
What do you dislike about the product?
For small teams, or an individual, it is too much and then ends up not being used to capacity or properly. It truly is a tool for collaboration, which is what it's supposed to be!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
When I collaborate with large teams, especially remotely, this tool is invaluable! I'm able to stay updated with hundreds of team members working on projects that I'm connected to but might not have a hand in. It's great to feel as up to speed as possible while still being out of office and able to focus on my own tasks.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Don't let the many features slip by; if you're going to dive into Wrike, take advantage of everything. Take the time to learn all the tools and have your team spend time to learn the tools. If you're a small company or a solo freelancer, it's great for collaborating with large companies, but keep your own personal items to a smaller, less extensive software.

Best of breed task organization/ product management tool once you outgrow trello

  • November 01, 2016
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
To be honest the tool is very simple. Yo can create task with subtasks and store note info and conversation around those tasks on the tasks. Simple, but that combination of functionality is simple missing from the other tools we have available. Spend 5 minutes with the free trial and is you have used Slack, Trello or any others, you'll quickly see how Wrike finally brings it all together
What do you dislike about the product?
The only thing I dislike about Wrike is it's pricing structure. You can only buy it is seats of 5 which is plain stupid. I imagine they leave numerous small team sales on the table because of this shortsightedness. They have a perm free level but it lacks just a few features that suck the life out of the platform. The one that jumps to mind if subtasks.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Multitasking is hard, Wrike makes it easy. If they had screen sharing/calling I'd drop Slack and Skype as well.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Try the free version. It takes no time to figure out and it will make you disgusted with your current tools in no time at all. :)

    Non-Profit Organization Management

Easy to use, great for teams!

What do you like best about the product?
Wrike has great customer service, and their team is continually following up to provide help and suggestions. Their how-to guides and videos in their help center make it super easy to get started using their product. I have been impressed by how easy it is to get our team on board and our collaborators established.
What do you dislike about the product?
The two areas where we've struggled is that the there's no way to change the default to give everyone access to a folder unless you specify it as private (the converse is true, it's private and you have to remember to share it with everyone) and we've found some other small things a little unwieldy (having to tag someone in comments for them to see it, documents are not easy to find when attached, sometimes it's hard to tell which tasks belong to which projects). Mostly small things like this prevent it from being a perfect solution.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have a marketing staff of 3 people and 5 locations, 75 staff that we serve. I needed a solution to help me manage my team and understand what was on their plates as well as a place to divide up projects and have people request items. We use it for all of our staff to put in requests (using forms so we know we have all the details).
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Watch the online videos and other tutorials and check out the help guides. Also their customer service is impeccable and you can contact them at any time for 1:1 solution set up and advice!

Very User Friendly & Efficient Platform

  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The ease of use is great. It's simple to create projects as well as track all components of that project within this one tool. It's also nice to be able to create sub tasks or projects within larger projects as well as keep track of hours worked with the timer (LOVE THE TIMER) - but don't like that the timer was not available in the app version when I was using Wrike (I no longer am part of the team who utilized this tool)
What do you dislike about the product?
I disliked that the app didn't have the timer feature - I haven't used it in ages, so am not sure whether it was ever implemented.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
This tool was used to manage client projects for multiple clients. It kept the team all on track when trying to manage multiple clients within different industries & of which we were contracted to do many different types of projects for. Wrike allowed us to stay efficient & it also allowed us to realize which team members needed help with time management.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Try it out. Was a great, simple tool.

What do you like best about the product?
The ease we can create, categorize, and display the progress of the projects.
What do you dislike about the product?

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are able to track the entire departments' projects in Wrike. We can show the head of the department our progress in easy to understand dashboards.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Set up for any system takes time, but Wrike pays off once you get started.

Great software for managing projects with vendors and external stakeholders

  • October 04, 2016
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I really love how easy it is to share projects with collaborator accounts. The reporting functionality is also really complete, which reduces the amount of time I spend giving status updates.
What do you dislike about the product?
Onboarding can be a little bit difficult for team members or stakeholders who haven't used project management software before, however the account success team does a great job at customising the onboarding experience to each use case.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Project visibility and delivery as well as communication.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Be sure that you have commitment from all stakeholders to collaborate and manage tasks within Wrike. The onboarding is slowed down if some users keep old habits such as email.

    Internet

Lack of Functionality

  • October 04, 2016
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Fairly easy to consume the data inputted. Capabilities to import from other systems including Microsoft Project.
What do you dislike about the product?
Limited amount of users led to team members having to share log-ins. Lack of functionality surrounding amounts of time IE everything had to be submitted in number of days up to 7 or weeks instead of days up to any amount IE 13 instead of 2 weeks.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Project management for new projects and client services.

Wrike Review

  • September 22, 2016
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
It enhances communication, transparency and accountability to achieve results.
Wrike has a cool feature that allows users to suggest new ideas. It is pretty clear that Wrike takes customer support seriously.
What do you dislike about the product?
I would like the side navigation bar to be more customizable (Drag and drop/ edit). Cost and flexibility. It seemed to meet most of my needs, but the rest of the team complained they couldn't do what they wanted to with Wrike.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Been trying many project management application for a while trying to get my team more effective. Wrike is one of the best. It is very easy to customize and easy to understand.

You create projects, tasks, subtasks. You assign those tasks to people. You update/set values of your tasks. There are many customization you can create like creating your own parameters. You can create a timeline.

Distribution of work was easy to follow and tasks were easily manageable.

Wrike handles file management as good or better than any other option on the market. The file management features offered by Wrike are powerful enough to completely replace a third-party file management solution. There is always a benefit to having everything all in one place.

Wrike is a clear example of how email collaboration should be handled within a project management software.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
When you need a Project Management app yesterday, choose Wrike. Because of its quick setup and great ability to integrate with other tools. Wrike is an excellent choice for businesses that need to start managing projects pronto. It's more likely to show you lists and feeds than graphs and charts.
