    Information Technology and Services

Implemented for testing during agile marketing process.

What do you like best about the product?
Powerful configuration options, multiple ways to use features.
What do you dislike about the product?
Hierarchical arrangement gets confusing - updates to sub-tasks don't roll up in the way you'd expect or need. Naming conventions must be adhered to or sub-tasks and tasks appear to be repeated.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Need for epic stories that Trello doesn't support.

Very flexible project management tool

  • January 16, 2017
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Wrike is very customizable and flexible, so you can set up workflows the way you want. They have very useful schedule and workload views so you can easily see what everyone on the team is working on and how long it is expected to take. I also really like that you can tie dependent tasks together and see that reflected visually on the schedules.
What do you dislike about the product?
We have tried to use Wrike as an agile sprint project management tool. It seems that Wrike is not built specifically for that function though. Since it's very flexible we are able to work around most roadblocks, however some of our set up seems overly complicated because of those workarounds.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Other project management tools did not give us a clear schedule of who was working on what, and when. Wrike met this need very well.

Robust Task Management - Mediocre Project Management

  • January 12, 2017
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Clean interface, easy admin functionality, custom dashboard
What do you dislike about the product?
Cannot treat as true "project management", but more like "task management"
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Accountability. It's a nice, central, place for project notes and attachments.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
great for task management, not project management where you require dependencies and lead/lag times.

I Like Wrike

  • January 12, 2017
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Wrike allows our team to track projects from start to finish and to trace a project's path with just a few simple clicks. I also really like the Outlook plug-in that allows me to interact with Wrike tasks from my email.
What do you dislike about the product?
Occasionally, the Wrike plug-in for Outlook will cause my Outlook to crash, and that's fairly annoying.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We've found that Wrike really assists with internal communication for projects involving multiple people. It allows any team member to check the status of any project at any given time, regardless of who is in or out of the office that day. It also has helped keep team members accountable in terms of meeting internal deadlines.

A must-have for communication between teams

  • January 12, 2017
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Wrike is a great tool to manage projects between various teams. Complicated at a first glance, Wrike has a lot to offer even the more diverse teams spread around the world.
What do you dislike about the product?
The software is almost too complicated, there are multiple ways to look at each setting that you may need several discussions with your team to make sure you are on the same page. After everyone uses it the same way, it's a breeze for project management.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Communication between multiple teams is now easier.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It looks a little difficult to use at first but after a while it's great.

Wrike effective in managing all tasks

  • January 11, 2017
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I really like the design review aspect. It makes it really easy to communicate content changes and design questions without getting email fatigue. It's also very helpful to use it for website changes and mocking up a website and inserting content. There's no question where we want something to be placed. It cuts down on back and forth and increases productivity.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish there was more control on the moving of subtasks or duplicating reoccurring tasks. Sometimes we have subtasks that get placed in the wrong area, and they have to be deleted and retyped under their appropriate place. It's a little cumbersome and a drag and drop feature would be great. There's the ability to make reoccurring tasks, but then they hold all of the previous task's information on it. It's not exactly how we would prefer.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are saving time and the hassle of email fatigue. It also gives us all insight into the other's tasks and all that they are doing on a daily basis. We have no question if something was done, and who was involved because all communication and editing are done right within Wrike.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Take the time to consider how you would like to use the tool and go in that direction. Don't set it up a month after 'kind of' using it. Commit early on. Build it out to what you need. Also, make sure you enforce all communication going through Wrike. If some people still send things through other sources this will fail.

Powerful project management — maybe too powerful for some users

  • January 10, 2017
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The things I loved most about Wrike were paid features:
• Gantt charts to see your projects in a timeline (I'm a visual person)
• Time tracking
• Subtask management
• Custom workflows
What do you dislike about the product?
To get the most out of Wrike you really need to use the paid versions, and the things I really liked were extremely expensive for a solo operation. I only have people working on my team for about 6 months out of the year, so the other months I'm paying for users I don't have. Also, I'd like to be able to produce detailed reports but that's not available on the tier I'm at.

I also think that the power of Wrike also keeps it from performing very well. I constantly ran into glitches with adding new tasks.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I wanted a project management software that would allow me to be more organized and productive. However, the interface was clunky and I just didn't like using it. There have been days I don't even log in because I avoid using it.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you really need complicated, powerful project management and tracking, then go for Wrike. I really do think it is a good option for many businesses. But if you are very small, try using other options instead.

Useful software, UX needs work

  • January 10, 2017
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Great features and useful tools, makes it easy to manage multiple complex projects. Has mad a big difference in internal organization and team/project management.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some of the UX and features are not intuitive and can be improved. Settings are hidden or not easily accessible and certain things could have been done in a more logical way. Would love to be able to onboard people without too much training but so far this has required a lot of hand holding.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Project management and resource allocation. Allows us to map out all of our projects against realistic timeframes and ensure that resources are properly allocated. Has mad a big difference in internal organization and team/project management.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Good if you are managing a host of simultaneous projects that are complex and multi-step.
