Wrike for project managers
What do you like best about the product?
I love that wrike is developed with the project manager in mind. It functions the way I think and allows me to set up customized work flows. I both love and hate that there isn't a lot of built in structure. It allows me to set up things any way I want to but sometimes I'd prefer a suggestion of best practices.
What do you dislike about the product?
Wrike is set up in a pyramid of folders. If someone uploads a files to their task it can't be viewed by the rest of the team anywhere else. It's frustrating and I wish files were automatically viewable from the top level folder so they wouldn't get buried in individual tasks.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It's our primary tool for managing projects for the Creative Services and Marketing team. It allows me to manage the entire teams work load and task out projects to individuals.
write was a good replacement to At Task
What do you like best about the product?
Tracking via multiple team members and projects
What do you dislike about the product?
Printing useful reports was difficult and not very helpful
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Project tracking along with time management to
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Evaluate it for a good 2 months.
Not set up for consulting or external marketing
What do you like best about the product?
Make sure Wrike can do what you need. They hit the basics and their sales team is super responsive, but once you sign on they are gone and you are on your own with very poor customer support. I have tried emailing folks at wrike all the way up the chain of command and have not gotten a response or even interest on how they can improve and I was trying to provide feedback most companies are trying to get their customers to provide. Very disappointed.
What do you dislike about the product?
Customer support. Billing. Time management system (horrible and they should not list that as a feature).
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Want to use to manage client projects, which include tracking time and tracking project progress. It doesn't do any of these well.
Wrike Review
What do you like best about the product?
We like how we can all see the projects going on in the agency and keep track of what's due/on time.
What do you dislike about the product?
Wish there was a pre-made form you could fill out when opening a job.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Helps us all stay on the same page and keep track of all the projects going on.
I have tested Wrike against other project management softwares.
What do you like best about the product?
I like the amount of features that Wrike has available for its users. FOr example, all of the tasks you can create with due dates, users you can assign to certain tasks, and the fact that you can use workflows and gantt charts to see your progress.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike that Wrike doesn't have anything similar to a proofing system. I was ultimately looking for a program that has a proofing tool and project management and payment collection all-in-one.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I have used Wrike for keeping up with design projects for myself. I haven't used it in a huge business setting so I haven't been able to utilize all the features it has.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Better for larger teams. Hard to figure out all of the features when it's just aa program you are using for yourself.
Wrike is the management tool I've wanted for a very long time.
What do you like best about the product?
I love that it's fast to create 'research folders' and convert them to full projects and then have them available in "Board View" while my coworker like to see a list view. I work best with Board view and this is the first project I've found that really allows the Boards to function correctly while also providing other view interfaces into it.
What do you dislike about the product?
When I create a new item, the focus shifts away from the item so I have to click it again to be able to enter more details. This is a very very minor issue and does not detract from the software at all.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Managing multiple production projects and research projects at the same time. The alerting, messaging, storage of information, it's incredible. We looked at and worked with Slack a bit, but Wrike blows it out of the water.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It's a free trial. Just start using it and see how amazing it is. My partner and I were so scattered with our projects and work across multiple solutions (github, wunderlist, slack) and this combined everything into one solution.,
One of the most flexible solutions out there, but it can't do everything
What do you like best about the product?
I've now worked with Wrike as a project manager at two different companies that did very different things. I prefer it over many other solutions because it allows you to create custom workflows, nest tasks within parent tasks, create Gantt charts for that one client who really likes them for some reason, and to assign dates and dependencies. I also like that we're able to send reports and create dashboards with some customization.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are a few things that I think hold Wrike back from being truly great:
1. First and foremost, the ability to create reporting or see analytics on custom workflows is missing. You have to sort your custom workflow into general swimlanes of to do, doing, done, or on hold to work with the basic analytics Wrike provides.
2. Related to no. 1, the usefulness of custom dashboards and reports is somewhat limited by not being able to tailor it more closely to my custom workflows.
3. I wish there were more spreadsheet-like functionality in Wrike, like the ability to create calculated fields based on complex formulas. There's some basic calculation possible, but it's hidden in table mode where you can't do much with it.
4. It's fairly expensive compared with other solutions. Given that many of our users might only need to interact with Wrike once or twice a day, paying something like $18 per month per person really adds up.

At both companies I've worked at using Wrike, this is a tool that has helped us create visibility and "one source of truth" for work progress. It helps us easily see the status of work down to the task level, as well as how multiple tasks roll up into the total health of a project. In cases where I want to create a more detailed analysis of work, I appreciate that I can export various Wrike data tables to crunch numbers in Excel.
Best Project Management App We've Used
What do you like best about the product?
Project, asset, and people management in a powerful, flexible app. No more switching between disparate systems, the team being out of sync, wasting time on managing various aspects of a project. And what's really great is it includes basic time tracking - really useful when process engineering and optimizing.
What do you dislike about the product?
Timetracking reports need more data, and a means to massage/mediate data into the report I want. I cannot stress enough just how important this is - with better time reporting we could pull this data as timesheets for payroll, reports for betting process engineering and optimization, better forecast project milestones and labor and deadlines... I think you get the point ;)
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
There aren't many project management apps that are flexible and scalable for small businesses. Wrike really has us covered from small to growing, and its super easy and fast for new employees to onboard. Our prior PM app was clunky, wouldn't allow templates, and had little to no time tracking.
Since switching to Wrike, we've been able to track hours on project tasks better and focus efficiency where its most needed. Also, we've saved a lot of time with new project startup, as we've developed template projects. And with integration with Slack, Drive, and Adobe, Wrike is quickly becoming our technology nexus.

Recommendations to others considering the product:
Wrike is the keystone for our PM because it integrates really well with many other technologies, has mobile apps, and gives you more than just a floating task list.
Do not work harder, but smarter
What do you like best about the product?
Multi-project, multi-person, multi-platform (laptop, tablet, smartphone)
What do you dislike about the product?
Timeline : you can not have weeknumbers - in projects you speak in terms of weeks.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Online collaboration with internal team, and suppliers as well.
