Our Experience Using Wrike
What do you like best about the product?
Our team, and clients, have full transparency into the progress of our projects. Wrike has improved our ability to track KPIs, bottlenecks, backlogged tasks, and project goals.
What do you dislike about the product?
At this time, the capabilities are outstanding for every department within our organization.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Tracking tasks, project management for our team (alongside the client's), creating timelines, implementing our production cycles are several problems we are solving with Wrike. All of the above have benefited both in internal tracking and automation efforts while improving our services to clients.

A next step in Project Management tools from Basecamp
What do you like best about the product?
There are Gantt charts, forms for collaborators to request projects, requests that are easily turned into projects, multiple ways to see and complete tasks, color coding, customizable work flows, and more. I am still learning some of the available tools. I am also finally able to eliminate a personal task-tracking spreadsheet by creating a private project in Wrike that I can share with only my supervisor.
What do you dislike about the product?
When sharing only a task (not an entire project) with a collaborator, you have to be very specific in the task name as the collaborator cannot see the project that the task is part of. I do wish they could see the project name at the very least, but we have learned to work around this. I also don't like that after assigning a task a date, it cannot be undone. Sometimes a task doesn't have a deadline, or it's so far in the future it hasn't been decided upon just yet.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are able to better organize our personal task lists, track time on billable projects, and track workloads on our designers. We're also able to set up request forms for different types of projects, and keep collaborators out of files and message threads that they don't need to be part of. We are also able to offer review tools within Wrike that allow collaborators to comment and draw on PDFs or images or videos uploaded to make changes easier to communicate and review.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If Basecamp isn't cutting it for you anymore and you need something with a few more features, but still easy to use with a friendly user interface and plenty of online help docs as well as plugins, then Wrike might be the right choice for you.
Okay
What do you like best about the product?
Makes it easy to collaborate with team members who work outside of the office or in different areas/time zones.
What do you dislike about the product?
Can have some strange functionalities with scheduling. Some times setting up projects or tasks takes longer than the actual project or task should, so it creates another thing to do just to check off the list.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Working with remote workers or team members in different areas is much easier with Wrike, and it's a great way to keep documents and records about projects to reference later.
Extensive tool, but looks leave something to be desired.
What do you like best about the product?
Very comprehensive functionality with a wide range of views. Folders for organization are handy.
What do you dislike about the product?
Can be too much to digest and not visually appealing. Interface feels a bit clunky. The functionality, although comprehensive, can be too detailed and unnecessary. Sometimes things can get buried under all the folder. Users need to be trained across the org to use it to its full potential.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Wrike is our central project and task management tool for the marketing function. There are many small details related to large scale projects and this enables us to map out each task against our pipeline.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Evaluate it thoroughly! Wrike has a lot to offer so really think about what is important you and your team.
Comprehensive Project Management Tool
What do you like best about the product?
Wrike is a very strong project management tool that can help track your team's overall workload and identify opportunities to improve productivity. I like that Wrike makes it easy to create new projects, assign tasks, and track progress. It also has cool reporting functions across projects, teams etc., and can be used to track time spent on different tasks for client billing purposes.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only downside to Wrike is how detailed it can get (which could be a positive depending how you look at it!). Because you can get so granular with Wrike, it is really important for your team to all be on the same page about how you create new projects and assign tasks to ensure consistency across the board.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We were trying to solve the problem of task management across teams since different people worked on various projects, and there was little transparency into actual workload. We were also looking for a tool to help track time for client billing. The result of using Wrike was more accountability for projects, and increased transparency of overall workload across teams.
Wrike has had a major impact
What do you like best about the product?
Wrike's templates and ease of use allowed us to roll it out quickly. It's had a great impact on being able to communicate to customers the impact on the timeline due to their delays.
We're now going to roll out the integration with Jira. We've already implemented the integration with SFDC which works well.
We're now going to roll out the integration with Jira. We've already implemented the integration with SFDC which works well.
What do you dislike about the product?
It would be better if there was a central repository to store files (like Basecamp).
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We needed to set the right expectations for our customers and keep them on track. We reduced time to value for our onboarding projects by 30%.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Start small and go from there.
Reasonable tool for project management
What do you like best about the product?
Clear interface, simple to use from a developer standpoint. Tickets can support a lot of different media types, make it easy to share mockups, videos, and other material.
Workflow features are decent, able to accommodate different processes fairly easily.
Workflow features are decent, able to accommodate different processes fairly easily.
What do you dislike about the product?
I found that having conversations on tickets generally didn't work very well. The comments are laid out in a way that is pretty easy to miss. The categorization around tickets, and trying to stay organized around a specific task was sometimes frustrating.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Project management, product management. Staying on task and ticketing.
When it comes to project management, Wrike has a lot to offer
What do you like best about the product?
I really enjoyed the ease of use with Wrike. The software was laid out in an organized manner and easy to use.
What do you dislike about the product?
I didn't like how limited the free version was, and how they really pushed you into upgrading.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Project management was the number one reason for working within Wrike. I enjoyed implementing this with my team, even though it never went live.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
This software was mostly easy to use and worked well for a free version if you only needed it for yourself. If you tried to use the free version with a team, then it was much more harder.
Wrike is the Marketo of Project Management
What do you like best about the product?
Wrike is helpful for assigning out tasks and tracking time and progress and including dependencies. It does what it says on the tin by helping with project management across multiple teams internally.
What do you dislike about the product?
Wrike is fine, but it's not my favorite. As the title of my review says, I think Wrike is a lot like Marketo - in that it can do a ton and is very customizeable, which is great, but because of that it's very clunky and confusing to use. Trying to follow breadcrumbs to get to the parent task or board is confusing
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Our greater team is probably using it for a lot more than me, but I use it to submit requests/tasks to our team members.
Wrike - Simple and Easy
What do you like best about the product?
The portal is easy to submit project request and track where the project is at in the completion process
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing jumps out at me as a big downside to Wrike
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Wrike to submit customer requests to my content creation team and track the completion of these requests
