Pricey but Indispensable tool
What do you like best about the product?

Dynatrace is totally licensed version tool, no trial version is available.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
When it comes to ensuring that an application's uptime and performance are constantly watched and monitored, the APM tool is the mechanism that is utilised to accomplish this.
Performance issues, resource optimization, and inconsistencies may all be identified early on and resolved before they have a detrimental impact on the system.
The environment in which an application runs should be continually monitored in order to detect and correct issues before they arise. And, Dynatrace becomes handy for such cases.

Very effective - shorted time to resolution for production incidents

Onboarding experience was great ! team was helpful and we were able to start working in a short timeframe

I'd like to see the product running in-IDE

Production & dev debugging

What do you like best about the product?
The ability to add custom params on breakpoints, to catch the most relevant occurances that are needed to be tested. The ability to debug production code in real-time is priceless when trying to udnerstand application state in a specific use case.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some parts of the system are not fully customizable. We sometimes do get to the limit of breakpoint "catching" even though we tune it up to maximum configured values allowed in rookout.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Rookout allows us to test how the application behaves in every corner of the code - even where our other implemented visibility tools fail to help us. It has become an integral part of our research on unexpected system shortcommings.

This tool will save you much valuable debugging time.
Great Software for monitoring

Problem notifications are great. One-agent deployments are easy and handy.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes we face memory issues and get notifications for disk size is low.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Our application is running well, and there is no issues our customers are facing Dynatrace helps us a lot for monitoring.

More flexibility for users to modify the design of centralized dashboard and options to choose from the components to display and hide.

What do you like best about the product?
One agent deployment is straightforward and handy. Dynatrace also monitors all transactions of our application. It also gives problem notifications. I can learn more and more every day in Dynatrace. Dynatrace university is beneficial.
What do you dislike about the product?
Everything is good right now, but sometimes we face memory issues.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
When our application has any problem, dynatrace notify us at a time, and we can able to resolve this as soon as possible. We can get the best experience with this monitoring tool.

The team we work with is great. The Product is solid and has been well received by our organization. I enjoy that our innovation team has been leading effort on use this solution.

I can't think of one now. Looking in the roadmap to integrate existing tools with this product and hopefully be able to help with additional metrics to be monitored.

Looking a variety of metrics from users to system/app log activities and make better decisions on process improvements and/or better understanding for other insights that can help us for future use.

It is a solid product and the team they have provided excellent support. Very reliable the product solution .

interesting user interface but root cause analysis is very difficult to understand for the new users
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Before using this tool, we were very confused when the application experienced a decrease in performance, we didn't know which one was the problem and which one needed to be improved. With dynatrace we can find out the root cause and the chain of problems causing the application to crash. We can also find out the nature of the user in using the application, on which pages the user often visits our application so that we can improve the performance of our application.
Dynatrace has helped prevent and monitor outages for over a year now.
What do you like best about the product?
The most popular functions of Dynatrace are the alerting for problem notifications, the use of customizable dashboards, and the visibility the smartscape topology provides us with.
What do you dislike about the product?
We wish that for every graph that Dynatrace shows through their site, they all had "pin to dashboard" buttons available, it would help create better dashboards and allow for easier customization. We also suggest a better licensing plan for host units and DDUs.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Dynatrace has helped eliminate many outages and prevent them altogether. Many people are thoroughly pleased with the number of services offered and the visibility it provides to them.
Powerful tool, but very difficult to navigate

I like how helpful the Dynatrace Vendors are

It is challenging to learn and become familiar with the concepts such as what is an application, key user actions, etc.

We use Dynatrace to troubleshoot production problems.
