Blue Prism - unassisted RPA for everything
What do you like best about the product?
Blue Prism is extremely powerful and lets you build your business objects in addition to regular automation flows - this enables you to reuse objects for multiple automations and minimizes development time for future enhancements to existing automations. It also allows for multiple approaches to capturing elements on a computer screen including browser-based mouse placement, HTML identification, screen mapping, etc.
What do you dislike about the product?
Blue Prism is highly complex, and it does take a great deal of time to plan and execute usable automation properly. This isn't something you can just install and become productive with on the first day; however, after some commitment to learning the product, there isn't anything you can't automate!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We're using Blue Prism to automate some system configuration tasks that would typically take our team weeks to perform manually. The configuration tasks are time consuming but somewhat predictable and we have been able to save hundreds of hours of time by using Blue Prism instead of configuring manually.
The most stable RPA tool in market

What do you like best about the product?
Blue Prism is a great piece of software for low code, easy process automation, its capabilities can be extended far beyond basic UI process automation and integration with Web APIs are easily acheivable.
From a dev environment to a prod environment only takes a few clicks and Blue Prism makes putting your processes live very easy. The key with any RPA platform is that its not a no code solution, there are times that you will have to write your own code, on the platform and Blue Prism is no different. To get the most out of Blue Prism, you will need to dedicate resources to build solutions within Blue Prism otherwise you may not see the cost savings to the product.

What do you dislike about the product?
While Blue Prism is great, it does fall short in some basic integration areas, such as regular expressions in application models and general regex matching as a whole. To really get the most out of the product as previously mentioned you will find yourself writing simple code objects that perhaps the platform could do out of the box (such as checking if a column exists when working with collections)
I think that it would be great if Blue Prism had better integration between a dev and prod environment, at the moment to import new releases you have manually export / import but it would be nice if there was a package release system that automatically imports a new release into a prod environment (thinking of continuous integration).
It would also be great if Blue Prism could integration better testing options such as defined unit tests, before a release is made available, this way a developer can easily catch errors in their code that they might not otherwise be aware of.

At Norfolk County Council, we're using Blue Prism to not only automate our IT requests from end users via Assyst, we are also using the platform to complete payroll related tasks and help with the COVID response by using RPA to automatically register local businesses with the Department of Health and Social Care for the UK's Workplace Surveillence Testing programme. We've only been developing for a few months, however we have managed to save NCC as a whole a huge number of hours just in a few "quick win" type projects.
Fantatsic Product, highly recommend!
What do you like best about the product?
- Ease of Use, building processes is very easy for anyone to learn, implement, and reap rewards.
- Excellent Support network, the blue prism has been very responsive to support requests. We've had an excellent success manager, Robin, who helped us along the way when we implemented our system and our first processes.
- Robust process automation, the processes are very robust, flexible, and easy to understand. Any issues that arise can be controlled and fixed within the appropriate time and can be as strong as you want to make it.
-Network of customers - There is a large network of Blue prism users in which you can share ideas and use similar processes.

What do you dislike about the product?
- some areas needed more technical skills to understand, such as the cloud SaaS can be tricky to understand, however, there are excellent support networks. Please note, that you may need help from time to time from your networking team.
-the training was sometimes difficult due to poor explanations, i often found myself guessing and when you have no experience with Blue Prism it can get tricky. Luckily i have development experience so i was able to complete it, but might be tricky for someone with no development experience.

Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you're considering Blue Prism as a platform for your automation tasks, it is an excellent product for anyone to learn and use. There is a big investment in the start however the benefits can be reaped once you have a solid development team, automating mass processes, that will reduce your workloads, save you lots of money and finally, giving your staff more time to complete innovative tasks they've been sitting on, rather than working on repetitive tasks.
