What do you like best about the product?
We have been using a Mq for almost 20+ years and we have some latge infra with almost around 10,000+ Queue mangerst jso it’s a big big deal infrastructure for Support sake critical applications
What do you dislike about the product?
The challenge is that the cloud applications

Persistence asynchronousguaranteed delivery

What do you like best about the product?
MQ has kep space with the times moving into cloud based (both private and public cloud) environments and is still a key tool in managing messaging between apps and environments.
What do you dislike about the product?
Setup and configuration is still painful but increasingly easy with scripts and setups on the cloud management platforms.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Still the key messaging protocol between our legacy mainframe and also new apps being developed.

extending features to include connectivity for cloud-native apps and container-based deployments

complexity of configuration for apps on non-IBM Cloud infrastructure
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
HA, resilient healthcare messaging
messaging backbone for ACE and IIB - robust Pub Sub and connectivity
strong support for security
evolving mechanisms for HA and DR
Recommendations to others considering the product:
the first implementation is not a steep learning curve
getting Security and HA integarated with existing or emerging Enterprise infrastructre can take some time and resources and iterations

Functional rich and easy to use; integration with lots of tools.

Takes sometime to understand, but better than open source RabbitMQ

Very mature and stable, applicance has improved DR and HA capabilities.

Not great instrumentation out of the box

Moving asycnronous data across differnt platforms

What do you like best about the product?
Easy of installation and use. Flexibility. Fast start stop

Lack of detailed logs without starting traceing

Mq is takling to BPM, WAS, portal and BD2 in our agency's infrastructure.

What do you like best about the product?
We use MQ to transfer hundreds of millions of messages reliably over zOs, Unix/linux and windows. 100+ application areas use MQ for both app to app messaging and for db2 replication. We have been using MQ for over 20 years.
What do you dislike about the product?
There isn't a great deal of issues that we have. probably an easy to use monitoring and alerting tool would be more useful.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
data replication, app to app messaging.

MQ - ease of use , guranteed delivery , no failures , stable prodcut

not up to the mark specific to cloud native

What do you like best about the product?
Wide platform support to integrate almost any-to-any
What do you dislike about the product?
Did not transform with the industry to support API. Now enterprises are using MQ, but are forced to build custom application layers or use additional products like Datapower and such to provide http endpoints.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Integration into legacy M/F applications and thus leveraging core business apps developed earlier.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
IBM should help existing investment to be useful
