Great for larger companies
What do you like best about the product?
Sugar crm is very customizable. Depending on your needs the reps can implement any number of back end tie ins for you.
What do you dislike about the product?
The starting cost and user cost is very high. The company I was with had about 55 employees at the time and the implementation was well into five figures. Not including the per user monthly fees.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Sugar crm was able to help out the warehouse with order fulfillment. They were able to help out the qc department with reporting common issues in all skus sold. The sales team was able to set reminders and qualify any leads that came in via phone or email. And as the sales manager I was able to delegate and keep track of sales all through sugar crm!
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Loved it, but it came at a huge cost.

Very customizable product through both PHP and JavaScript additions.
What do you dislike about the product?
Really lacking in "easy to get going" integrations

Sales and account management, has helped us manage pipeline well.

Only look at if you need a heavily customized product.
Sustom CRM
What do you like best about the product?
When the Mobile App is working properly it is OK
What do you dislike about the product?
The Mobile app is rarely working properly
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
WE have been able to create our CRM with Sugar and save data to it. However we have customized it so much to fit our business that it is not working the way it should be.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It may be less expensive at first but it will cost you in the long run
User-friendly and easy Integration
What do you like best about the product?
SugarCRM can be easily intrgrate with Google Docs, Microsoft Word and Excel. SugarCRM also offers the ability to manage email from within the program, regardless of your email application. Microsoft Outlook, IBM Lotus Notes, Gmail, Yahoo! Mail, and other IMAP mail are all supported
What do you dislike about the product?
SugarCRM requires a minimum commitment of five users and subscription term of one year. this may not be suitable for small businesses who might need only 1 user. also the response time for Support request can take hours and this can affect Our business.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
we required a CRM with flexibility, ease of use, and affordability, especially as we have alot of Field workers.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
i recommend, if you are looking for a CRM that is user friendly and easy to integrate, this is it. Also Collaboration with different departments like sales, billing, accounting. it is very useful for contacts and account management, and reporting for field staffs
SugarCRM Evolution
What do you like best about the product?
Evolved from open source platform with a fairly large community. After going commercial we continued to use the open source version Suite. Cost effective - Free
What do you dislike about the product?
Version updates; code sensitive, reporting would become broken with custom coding. Requires some coding expertise to obtain maximum value.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Marketing Automation (MA) . There is limited opportunity with our current system to achieve full benefits for MA. The commercial version of SugarCRM will integrate with other best of breed MA however.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
SugarCRM is a valid CRM software that would fall within the "top 10' CRM vendors in my opinion based on their service offering. It allows integration with many ERP backends.
It's an okay database.
What do you like best about the product?
It's easy to make updates. The search function makes it easy to find what you're looking for quickly.
What do you dislike about the product?
The reporting features are not very user friendly. The system freezes pretty frequently.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use it to track membership affiliations and demographic info for our clients.
Sugar Review
What do you like best about the product?
Sugar is how our mental health company tracks and bills out to Medicaid. It is initiative and easy to pick up. It allows me to discribe what I did and how the client responded to these interventions in a sensible way.
What do you dislike about the product?
As far as dislikes for sugar, it is fairly bare bones in terms of presentation and slots available to note the interaction with client. Would be nice to have sleeker perhaps more customizable interface.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Sugar solves the problem of noting what times we are seeing clients and subsequently charging those to Medicaid. The benefits have been that the streamlined interface of Sugar makes billing out a painless task.

If you want easy way to bill out clients, this is a nice product.

I like the ability to do unlimited custom fields. Also easy to add custom fields

The sugar support is not very good. Too much time to get back to me

Great reporting features! They make it very easy to track our metrics.
What do you dislike about the product?
Performance is often led than desirable. Slow to fix bugs.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Sugarcrm makes scheduling very easy. Organization of customers is so much better than using a shared excel sheet to track our clients. The filters are amazing and have greatly improved our client management.
Automating our Predictable Revenue Team
What do you like best about the product?
I like that you aren't forced to adopt the entire platform if your business process doesn't demand it. Reporting is easy and so isn't adding custom fields.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dont like how you have to reset your list view everytime you clear cache.

We are able to automate our predictable revenue team with Sugar and Act-On

Implementation and change management will either make or break your implementation, always invest in training.
