What do you like best about the product?
The ability to create custom alerts and to be notified of current happenings with servers

What do you like best about the product?
This software is simple to use and allows us to quickly monitor and respond to server or application issues that arise. Our technicians receive emails if any services or servers crash and it’s displayed cleanly in a browser.
What do you dislike about the product?
Configuration was a bit difficult at first, and the email notification settings are a little sensitive, which causes our techs to receive a lot of emails from the automatic notification mailer. The dashboard occasionally crashes/loses connection as well but that may be an issue with our configuration, not the software itself.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It allows us to quickly determine if we are having any issues with our servers, ensuring minimal downtime for our end users.
Recommendations to others considering the product:

SolarWinds is Essential To Your Company's Dashboarding System

What do you like best about the product?
Solarwinds allows you to customize your dashboard to however you wish to display it making it very easy to monitor all the nodes you are tracking. It also allows great organization by allowing you to group monitored nodes. In addition to its easy to use platform, SolarWinds provides alerting via email for all your managed nodes.
What do you dislike about the product?
I do not have any reservations with this product as it provides great a great dashboarding solution for our wide spread company.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
With SolarWinds we are able to monitor our branch offices that are spread all over the United States. We are satisfy our NOC team and provide them a tool to use to monitor our locations and provide white glove service when an incident does occur. We are able to see the issue right away with SolarWind's real time monitoring capability and act upon it.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you are considering using SolarWinds and your company has multiple branch offices, this product is essential. This product allows your company's IT department endless insight on monitoring branch offices, routers, servers, and even edge devices.

Very quickly responses to IP downs. Abilities to see all the customers

What do you like best about the product?
Love the management aspect of solar winds we use this for our managed services so we can highlight any servers needing attention.
What do you dislike about the product?
Difficult to configure and use and if this was easier this application would be a market seller.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use this application to manage our customers services that we provide. We can then tend to our servers proactively before they go down.

I like how it allows us to easily connect to our clients.

Nothing so far. It has worked great since we've used the product years ago.

We are cutting costs on on-site visits and being able to work remotely.

What do you like best about the product?
Good product we use every day. I like customized reports I can create. The software does exactly what it's supposed to.
What do you dislike about the product?
Every little thing you monitor requires a license. I think, it should be per server/application instead.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The software sends alerts in case there is a problem with a server or application.

Good product. Keep it up.

Transaction Monitoring. Real User Monitoring. Immediate Alerts. 14-Day Free Trial. Page Speed Testing.
What do you dislike about the product?
I do wish the travel period was a little longer. But that's personal. Or a feature to pay annually not monthly.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Transaction Monitoring. Is a real lifesaver. Server testing and being able to see availability of our website.

What do you like best about the product?
Real-time overview of the performance in an easy to understand dashboard
What do you dislike about the product?
There's no free basic version. There is a trial version for 14 days, but a free, basic version would be welcome for smaller companies.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
A client mentioned that he "felt" his website was slow. After implementing Pingdom, we could see that usually it wasn't slow, but sometimes it was.

After investigating the the slower loading times we were able to tackle the problem.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Not knowing there are errors on your website or not knowing that your website's performance is bad will cost you a lot more than Pingdom.

Make sure you have a monitoring software. Other platforms are more expensive and give you the same basic insights in order to solve problems.
