The only IP address management option we need
What do you like best about the product?
SolaWinds IP Address Manager is not only scanning the equipment, but also providing connections to the controlled information for our unit, because of the inclusion with the SolarWinds suite. It provides some good ranges of scanning for verifying IP use. Alsp, you can discover an accessible IP and use it via SW and log the IP address background. SolaWinds IP Address Manager also allows for integration with DHCP and offers support for DNS.
What do you dislike about the product?
It does not allow to change templates on the DNS management. Also, I would loke to configure event alerts as a protected IP address, which I’m enabled to do right now. Honestly, the only way to get the most from SolaWinds IP Address Manager is by integrating it with other SolarWinds software.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
In all our subsidiaries SolarWinds IP Address Manager is the only IP address management option throughout our business. It allows us to deal with the issue of IP email organization and VLAN monitoring. Since IPAM also registers the last reply, the systems that have been removed or halted can be searched easily.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
SolaWinds IP Address Manager is a useful tool to register all IP addresses. It is best suited for medium-sized and big enterprises, although small businesses would certainly get some benefit from it. However, consider that if your network is made up with restricted public space, it would not work good for you, as it won't be able to work properly for complex networks.

Least Impressive MOST Expensive product
What do you like best about the product?
Monitors up/down status but that's basically about it
What do you dislike about the product?
It doesn't go as granular as we thought regarding monitoring our network, especially when it comes to Meraki equipment.
customer services/support makes you pay to get upgrade assistance, even then there is very little to none help with upgrading software unless something breaks,

we have the ability to confirm or not whether sites are actually down and I can view my top conversations on my network which helps me determine which devices are connected to what and for how long.

try live action if you want deeper analytics into your network as well as Meraki

Wide variety of items that can be monitored, database experience monitoring is awesome for my use case.

Setup should check system requirements before allowing you to continue.

Allows us to watch when things go down, gives us a good idea of what the issue may be.

Convenient and lag free. Very easy to set-up and User friendly.

not that i can think of any. Never had problems with using Solar winds

Fast, clear performance status and potential outages. Easy integration with other tools and custom alert options. This must be by far the greatest monitoring I've ever used for networking and services. It has a lot of features and works all the time.
What do you dislike about the product?
For a small company like us the licensing costs are really high.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are using this to monitor the network of clients. Mostly on the infrastructure hand, however, services can also be monitored.

What do you like best about the product?
This tool has the capacity of opening as many sessions we want and give live updates of all the selected counters.

License cost is little high but it is high overall in all good monitoring tools.

Servers CPU and Memory utilization and other features help to debug the issues specifically in that area.

Understand the setup once and then it is very easy to use.

Solarwinds have tree like hierarchy level structure where it help to get the RCA easily.lot of open parameters can be monitor with solarwinds.Good to custom the licensing for agent as well.

DB restoration part.In case of disaster or any failure application level configuration is tedious task.

A very powerful monitoring tool with multiple modules. Most everything we want to keep an eye on is in one place.

It can get complex and confusing to set up what we needed. Once set up on decently powered hardware, it has worked well

we manage all network traffic in our workplace. Very easy to use, great to see all network traffic on the map. and cheaper than what you get.

interface needs updating. sometimes it can be difficult to reach a customer representative.
