Decent tracker for site monitoring
What do you like best about the product?
Ability to setup alerts in an escalation matrix to track site downtime - saves the sudden panic calls when senior management finds errors and you look unprepared.
The mobile app is a good touch - elevates it from beyond a background service to an always-on, always-aware assist.

What do you dislike about the product?
The analytics for site performance tend to be proprietary - we normally use Google Analytics or GTmetrix, and somehow Pingdom's performance monitor never seems to agree with the results observed in these.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
2 standard problems -
1 - tracking uptime and triggering alerts to concerned teams in case of a downtime. Knowing that there is an automatic escalation on it's way helps streamline and prioritize responses as per SLA, and allows responding developers to achieve SLA requirements more easily. Reports are also a standard inclusion in regular website health tracking and early-warning indicator of issues.
2 - Site performance stats - a standard tracking of load times with historical data is similarly a good indicator and helpful in tracing when / where issues occurred.

What do you like best about the product?
Installation and usage is really simple and everything is customizable. Configuring dashboards and visualizing any piece of information as we wish is very easy. This is used to track a number of vendors ' network hardware, as well as Windows devices and guests and hosts for virtualisation.
What do you dislike about the product?
Is much more costly than other solution but worth the expense because SolarWinds will require less time in time to manage.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use Solarwinds to monitoring our customers' networks
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Simple to install and get started. Would automatically search the network and connect devices, if you want. The gui is intuitive and simple to use.

What do you like best about the product?
Helps you diagnose network problems in a matter of seconds. Is very easy to use and implement. Has a wide variety of features to choose and quickly detect and resolve all your network performance outages.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing. Speeds troubleshooting and reduces downtime.

Acceleration of problem identification mainly.

Innovating solutions for energy, Reports visualizaiton, Solutions for Hybird Systems are the key important functions which we like the most

The limitation we observe is its spesicfic availibity to the first world countries

What do you like best about the product?
The simplicity of use in applying questions to our client has enhanced the cooperation of questions and requests. It is fast and seamless to enter a question or query via the website. The addition of further details (classification, privilege etc.) from a back office point of view is simple and time-saving for the Helpdesk. The Dashboard features quickly enable us to evaluate where we've been for the day and give a quick look into how clients feel about both the service they receive. We are pleased to move to the next stage of Samanage, including Asset Management, and to build up and add additional components to the Service Catalogue.
What do you dislike about the product?
To be truthful, it was a struggle for our employees to switch from some other system into a system. It is difficult to keep changing systems, but the program is not a problem. Since we used it, it's not been so far.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Have an in-house look at our organisation's resources and build a practical resource for our employees to use to supply our employees with IT internally.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
When you're searching for a personalized host alternative so - in-one, you can do it. I assume that the network management component will also be coming soon, particularly when integrated with the Asset Management program and with Solar Winds as both the owner.

What do you like best about the product?
I enjoyed the ability to navigate and also the environment summaries that are available.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some displays can be overwhelming with data but it is not a deal breaker.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are able to maintain a higher level of availability and response to issues with any of our servers and hosts. This helps to eliminate downtime as much as possible and resolve issues quickly.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Make a full assessment of your infrastructure and assess the reliability of your current monitoring system. Do you have the ability to facilitate monitoring on a global infrastructure scale? Also, I would assess choosing the right layout that works best for your team and the quantity of servers hosts and nodes you may have. Also, assessing other software you can integrate is a great way to centralize communication and monitoring.

What do you like best about the product?
Solarwinds tools provide a broad Community / Forum service support for all network devices and servers, which helps you to easily solve problems. Solarwinds features a pooling system that lets you install solarwinds as many servers as you want beside solarwinds. You never restrict yourself to the database with this pooling method.
What do you dislike about the product?
The linux server can not be used as much as I know, only the windows server can be used. If you have many devices / nodes, some graphs view data very slowly, very similar to PRTG / MRTG software, web guys so slowly.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
SolarWinds Network Monitoring Tool has great capabilities for monitoring network devices with snmp, make models, netflow / sflow supports and simple configuration. For solar winds you can do almost all the apps you need. This great tool however has an important webgui issue. Solarwind Webgui is very slow even with a lot of polling servers. I assume mysql and asp choices are related, so it's not rapid like PRTG.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Make sure you monitor / manage the system number, learn as much information as you can and use the community / forum as possible.

Using SolarWinds we monitor our servers (CPU,Memory,Disk,Network) now we can be preactive.

Support is too much expensive.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Nowadays We detect on time problems related servers. For instance when an application consume all resources we can see this and increase memory in our server before it fail
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I recommend a lot SolarWinds because is a tool fantastic for monitor your infra and also it´s very easy to install, configure and generate new report with statistics.

What do you like best about the product?
Solar Winds one of the best for IT infrastructure monitoring . The Network Performance Monitor ( NPM) has helped us in many ways to monitor the network infrastructure.
We like the Intelligent maps to show status of each location.
The Netpath has helped in major troubleshooting, we also like the advanced alerting mechanism
The Netflow Traffic analyzer is another cool feature
In short the NPM helps us detect, diagnose and resolve network issue

It lacks in rich event correlation. The UI needs more improvement and sometimes slow to respond

It has a lot of options to monitor multiple devices and applications and control those applications and alert and report in case anything goes wrong.

It is not very user friendly and takes alot of time to manage applications and servers.

Monitoring different application to which downtime or low response time is reported and to keep a track of issues generating via network/system.
