What do you like best about the product?
Can configured multiple dashboards, easy to configure any device for monitoring

Strings or values required to configure the devices which sometime can be a bit hard

Saves admin time on searching specific VLAN and port info that he needs to fix IT faults.
SolarWinds User Device Tracker allows you to track any devices with IP in a centralized manner
What do you like best about the product?
It allows you to track any devices that connect to your network so you have visibility of the assets in your network. It can even block suspicious users by checking the connection information
What do you dislike about the product?
This product has a lot more potential and can be implemented with many more features. It can be upgraded into a patch management tool so that any device that connect to the network can be patched through the solution.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It improves the visibility of the devices in the network. It allows us to track and monitor devices. Most importantly, it can block suspicious or unauthorized devices from our network.
Good tool for log aggregation, monitor and alerts

- search is super quick and filtering is easy
- filtering by date range is easy
- using tags to filter is a great boon - like by http method, response code, env labels, service names
- setting up alerts to monitor for errors and invalid application states

What do you dislike about the product?
- can only download 2000 events of the filtered logs at a time
- alert filter creation is complicated
- can't get links to a filtered search. have to download the events and share OR share the search terms and time range

A good initial network monitoring solution
What do you like best about the product?
It does a good job of providing an inventory for all my devices and reporting on network health metrics, and NetPath is a really innovative tool that shows not just the break in connectivity, but where the break actually occured.
What do you dislike about the product?
While the software receives regular upgrades, it lacked in it's ability to provide an automated and responsive network map, which would represent the current state of the network at all times.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Solving the need of network analysis, overview and alerting. It provides a single pane of glass to network administrators, with automated configuration backups of IOS devices and effective SNMP monitoring with provides an accurate picture of the network health at any point in time, or in history.

Needs a lot of time to configure all the options - not user friendly.
Default setup comes with alerts which are not helpful - like db fragmentation alet makes the node critical for example.

Helps monitor the db obviously,
fragmentation, i/o etc. individual components can be monitored and alerts can be setup

Stability and reliablity, and I used it with my old company enviromnet and it was very good.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some comptibility issues plus during the reanewal we didn't get any discount.

Monitoring the data base and it s performance was the best added value.

Gives me insight to isolate the excessive traffic unitization or unexpected traffic and work on it to fix the issue thats choking the network

To be honest nothing that i dislike abt the tool but it requires a beefy machine to run on it smoothly

To isoloate the bandwidth consuming devices and figure out the rules to mitigate the issue
SolarWinds is highly recommended for traffic analyzing
