Best montiong tool for on-premise setup
What do you like best about the product?
Alert configurations and easy setup of nodes threshold settings. AD integration for access and role setup for users.
What do you dislike about the product?
Customized reporting and API configurations are not so vast for enabling quickly. Also, few node alerts which was configured for ticket logging in a differt tool are getting missed out when auto resolve option is ebavled

Large infrastructure monitoring for server and network

Go for it if you need best alerting for even small glitches and alert explanation are good with knowledge articles attached to each. Easy configurations setup

What do you like best about the product?
This is only one of many software that SolarWinds offers for network management. It is easy to use and support to diagnose and troubleshoot. Alerts can be easily automated to report problems, even after hours. The graphical interface is also nice.
What do you dislike about the product?
It is more expensive than other instruments, but it is worth it, because in the long run SolarWinds will be cheaper.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It allows me to monitor the network devices in our offices

SolarWinds manages a latest generation graphical interface, in addition to being very complete, it presents an accessible and easily adaptable and customizable architecture to any user, it has a complete main dashboard where a large number of processes and monitoring and administration functions are concentrated. , among its benefits is the fact that it has graphics that allow debugging the platform and normalize processes that show delays in its execution.

Among the aspects to improve, it could improve the problems when downloading reports, since many times they download they are cut and it is necessary to restart the process, we have already notified this fact to the software provider who promised to solve it as soon as possible, although it is true that it is a failure that does not occur very frequently if it affects the processes

SolarWinds NPM have many interesting features and have NetFlow option, which allows decomposition and categorization of all monitored network traffic. It is possible to run necessary raports and obtain all necessary information.

I tested many various monitoring utilities, but nothing came close. The user interface is great and the features this software offers make things easier.

Allows for easy monitoring of network devices as well as the ability to organize and search. Very robust with discoveries

Its good and bad but it has lots of settings and configuration for many different features which can be intimidating for new users especially those learning.

Network monitoring both devices and interfaces. Allows for easy discoveries of new nodes and interfaces as well as custom properties and attributes for nodes and interfaces

Navigation can be cumbersome when going between devices and home and to another device but overall very pleased. Improvements could be made to make navigation more fluid and easier to minimize how far down the user has to dig

Easy to use and very powerful
What do you like best about the product?
I like having a change report emailed over every couple of days to confirm that changes have been applied properly and configs saved.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is nothing i can think of right now.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
we now have working backup of all our configs. we have been removing old credentials that are saved on devices that have been missed previously.
SAM makes starting to Monitor Easy.
What do you like best about the product?
With SAM we are able to easily monitor basic functions in our environment, like status of servers, CPU, Drive Space, Uptime and basic Services. But it can do so much more. If you have a critical system in your environment, SAM can monitor if the services are running and start them if they are not. Can alert on the services.
What do you dislike about the product?
The alerting features and functions still need work, more access to powershell and the automating is always helpful. Actually working with Citrix and generating some specific Citrix alerts would be helpful.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are managing more servers than we have staff for, because of the capabilities of SolarWinds, it has allowed us to streamline management and monitoring.
Take the pain out of network management

NCM's ability to streamline the configuration (and change management) of network infrastructure devices and appliances

Easier NCM support for some more obscure brands would be helpful

Keeping track of and standardizing the configuration of routers, switches, and other devices around the network. This has greatly improved the efficiency of our network management and helped us capture inconsistencies in our configurations
SolarWinds Network Performance Monitor
What do you like best about the product?
NPM offers the client-friendly gui and greater clarity of the network. This software provides a high degree of customisation to best suit the requirements of control and warning. However the software is very easy to mount. If you want to fine-tune the control there is a learning curve. Help was received in a quick and comfortable manner and the Swack group helped with implementation and management issues. The interface includes various tables and graphs showing how the network and the main interfaces operate.
What do you dislike about the product?
The solution has not caused me any problem
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
They will be able to find out precisely where their problems lay in a short time. We're also at the point of recognizin some of the issues before they become problems.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It is really user friendly. Minimal servicing is expected. Starting with the greenery is therefore recommended. Make sure all is in order, and use it as a reference.
