Algolia is a very reliable, scalable solution to search-related problem
What do you like best about the product?
It is fairly easy to use, has been very reliable and has provided us with a very smart and innovative replacement for our previous services. It is very performant and has a lot of features for aggregating and ordering lists of objects that come in handy, when trying to provide the best possible UX
What do you dislike about the product?
There was a small hiccup with one of the list ordering features, which wasn't actually solved. We contacted customer support, but they didn't take much action as it was working somewhat according to design. Maybe some of the documentation was misleading, however we managed to find a way around it pretty easily, due to the convenient API
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It solves the problems of optimizing the search experience in speed and reliability, as well as reacting to the users' input. Using it for searching purposes we benefit from relevant searches acompanied with inisight into what the users find relevant
A modern SASS product with ease of use and great performance
What do you like best about the product?
Great support team, great documentation and sdk to help implement. Intuitive modern UI.
What do you dislike about the product?
It could push more USP features particularly on search. It's hard to know what you can/can't do.

What do you like best about the product?

At times not so user friendly and hence lags a bit

Ease of online merchandising which helps to make our sites more user friendly
Used within react native as documentation is good as support service very good and responsive

Helpful about algolia is fast and search has query suggestion index which is very helpful for user and also there is a facets and its easy to configure

In some cases when you want to make some customization the docs is not very clear also there is no loading state in react native library

Mobile app was slow since we used algolia to fetch data all over the app it turns to fast
Great caching and processing times
What do you like best about the product?
The search results return time is very impressive. Configurability of search specifics is better by the day. Being able to push products up the search results to emphasis them is a great feature.
What do you dislike about the product?
Pricing is quite steep as requirements scale upwards.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The Algolia team has been quite good in their customer support and guidance. Out of the box the product does what a lot of others have required long and drawn out timeframes to achieve.
Makes search so easy and fast!
What do you like best about the product?
Setting up and integrating algolia is a breeze compared to elasticsearch. The documentation is really well written and overall the developer experience is good. As for search, it does exactly what it advertises which is fast search. They now have AI which i have yet to use but I am glad that they are keeping up with new tech. I have only dealt with customer support once and they were pretty responsive.
What do you dislike about the product?
The biggest downside to algolia is the cost. I've seen companies become so dependent on algolia and as traffic grows it becomes very expensive. At my prior job we had to offload less used search back to our database to offset this. Another downside is reindexing can be slow at times but that is a bottleneck that everyone is going to face when scaling.

Algolia provides fast search which benefits our users since they expect instant results.
Great tool for the right sorting of your assortment
What do you like best about the product?
It really helps organise and sort my assortment really well.
What do you dislike about the product?
The pricing could be a bit better. It is a very expensive tool and there are cheaper substitutes.

Lightning Fast Search All Over the Globe
What do you like best about the product?
Algolia has a powerful indexing system, with a distributed network of databases across the planet. We make use of their Distributed Search Network (DSN) feature to reduce latency for international visitors. Response times have been reliably rapid since we started working with their platform 6+years ago. Their UI is easy to use and our team had no trouble working with their API to implement a custom designed solution.
What do you dislike about the product?
Complex ranking, sorting, and subsorting can be a bit difficult to achieve what we're hoping to. We can easily change the sorting rules, but it is difficult to mix different weighted priorities (e.g. trying to achieve a list of results where the result title is most important, but location takes priority, but not to the extent that bad results are returned just because they're close-by, etc). It sounds like their NeuralSearch would do an awesome job, but it has always been outside of our price range.

We needed a robust search system that could index objects across many dimensions yet still deliver results in an instant. Algolia has really fit the bill for us.
Front-End Merchandising Is Now A Piece Of Cake
What do you like best about the product?
Front-end merchandising does not require so much effort anymore. Pinning individual products to the top has got to be one of the most ingenious ideas and easiest ways to merchandise products on the website. It can be done, redone, and undone in a click of a button.
What do you dislike about the product?
Loading time for implementation sometimes takes a long time.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
on-site merchandising in general. it allows me to create and strategize my site merchandising on the spot.
Great search service provider
What do you like best about the product?
Algolia makes it easy to create new an effective search experiences. It is easy to implement, alter and use by developers and business/marketing folks alike. Customer support is also timely and helpful in their responses.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish Algolia could support filtering on empty strings or null values and not equal operators.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Algolia allows us to run complex filtering/search quries on enormous amounts of data with lightning fast response times.
