Easy to use, super fast, docs are super clear.

The search performances are stunning!!!!
What do you dislike about the product?
There are lot of users that would like to use algolia for booking services in a certain geographical position.
Problem is that there's no way to filter the results by their date availability.
Algolia doesn't support this use case and it is suggesting to use another database for this purpose.

Having a production ready search. We manage to add it to our product in a couple of days.

What do you like best about the product?
The possibility of all coded or even by plugging it into your PLC system.
The almost infinite possibilities are offered by the software to have a result as close as possible to reality.
The fact that a sales representative from Algolia came to explain to us in more detail the possibilities and the functioning of the software (even if it would have been preferable for a technique from Algolia to explain the possibilities of the API).
The possibility of testing the paid features for a while is also a plus, however if I would have known the complexity of use via API, I might have waited before being able to take advantage of this offer (an informational text is not available). would not be too much).

The documentation is unstructured. For a developer who wants to use your solution from A to Z, the documentation is too exhaustive and focuses more on the points that can be proposed by the Agoraio development team

I could group all my content which is managed from the front on a database which then allows me to do relevant research.

Algolia is a really complete solution that offers a lot of ways to use search. However, if you are developer and only work on a front-end environment, take the time to fully understand the API system and the subtleties blocking specific points.
Algolia gives us all we need basically and there are still lots of features that can be utilized.

Needle search in the haystack. Algolia gives excellent performance and efficiency in terms of cost and time.

Fast performance and easy integration make this service a perfect alternative for the data storage layer in any small app or website. Ready-to-use libraries from .NET to Node.js simplifies the usage, and the standard REST API enables you to use it from practically anywhere.
What do you dislike about the product?
When developing on the local machine, it might take hundreds of calls to the API, which comes out of the quota. Local emulators would help. Although it is possible to create search requests with authentication filters to make sure users get only permitted results, this whole process could be simplified. For instance, today, it requires me to have some server in the middle to generate the token, and if it were part of the Algolia services, it would be helpful.

Can use it from simple data storage solution to adding a powerful search experience to end-users and all this from the same index.

For small-medium projects, it can be an excellent service to store data and then use search tools to query it.

Your team will need to have an understanding of coding as their platform does not fully support management by the business, digital marketing, or merchandising teams with some level of support from a developer.

Improved onsite merchandising and optimization on product listing pages, within site search and menus driving improved KPIs, (CTA, Bounce, CR), and better user experience.

Magical search with a friendly interface and strong API
What do you like best about the product?
Fast search results with all the filtering we've ever needed. Faceting allows us to organize our product around the site and then lets users drill down into the products that are relevant to them.
What do you dislike about the product?
It takes a moderate amount of development time to integrate database records into Algolia. Building a system to manage changes to the index took us a few attempts.

Ecommerce faceted search. Excellent developer experience for building new pages. Wonderful experience for our front end users

Read the docs and ask questions on the forums. Someone somewhere is likely to have already overcome any problems you might find.

What do you like best about the product?
Ease of integration with Shopify and extremely powerful customization options.
What do you dislike about the product?
No major downsides, the pipeline customization can be a little challenging for non-technical people.

Sajari allows merchants to cover a massive gap on Shopify when comes down to search and faceted navigation and is one of the best experiences I have seen to date.

For anyone that is looking to enhance their Shopify store experience Sajari right now offers one of if not the best search integration and enhancement, even when compared with tools like Algolia.
Simple to implement and as fast as advertised
What do you like best about the product?
It has a good developer experience and performs well.
What do you dislike about the product?
The client-side library size can be cumbersome for smaller apps. This can be circumvented by using server-side scripting, but it would nice to have an even lighter-weight library.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are using Algolia for a conference and want to provide instant search through all the events for our users.
Awesome search engine solution but a bit pricey
What do you like best about the product?
I love how easy it is to integrate with Algolia. The documentation and the libraries are excellent, and tweaking the search rules to handle typos and ranking can be quickly done from their website. The search speed is better than with Elasticsearch.
What do you dislike about the product?
Algolia changed its pricing around two years ago, and the new pricing is more expensive for our job portal because we have a lot of GET requests and few POST requests and records. We have planned to mitigate this by adding caching with Redis so that retrieving a single object will be done with Redis.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are a job portal, and search speed and accuracy are essential for us. Using Algolia saved us development time compared to building an Elasticsearch cluster, and the "search as you type" feature was a nice bonus.
Best full text search service
What do you like best about the product?
The latency allows us to not worry about optimization and allows us to build actual applications, this was evident when we went from our custom solution which was very bulky and complex, hard to maintain, to algolia and the results were clearly in favor of algolia

The interface can at times be daunting, especially in the beginning, maybe a product tour would help.

We needed to make a property search with geolocations, initially solved with postgis and Postgres, soon turned to be very complicated and slow
