Best managed search engine for you application
What do you like best about the product?
Algolia is simple to use, manage and highly scalable.
Support is quick and responsive.

What do you dislike about the product?
There are very less examples for different functions. This is make difficult to try out and implement.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use algolia for entire search capability in the application. Our users can search for resources using the normal search, boolean search, pattern search and keyword search.

Algolia has been instrumental in creating our compact e-commerce website designed for sales.
What do you like best about the product?
Initially, we began with a CSV-formatted database, and within a matter of days, we could effortlessly run our website with Algolia's assistance.
Recently, I was browsing the Indian website JioMart for several days and noticed certain features that appeared familiar. Upon inspecting the Chrome DevTools, I discovered that Algolia was the driving force behind its functionality.

What do you dislike about the product?
In my opinion, certain aspects can be quite technical, and individuals with limited computer proficiency may find it challenging to acclimate to.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Effortlessly operate a dynamic website without any concerns regarding the backend.

When your search engine gets more and more used, the pricing increases a lot.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is a very hard and long journey to build a relevant, robust and fast search engine with open-source technologies; it requires hiring a lot of experts to build it, monitor, and maintain it. Thanks to algolia you can has out of the box a great Search Engine with an advanced back office to tune it, and great expertise advice from Algolia Team.

Algolia gives good search functionalities with easy indexing, good documentation, and typo tolerance.
What do you dislike about the product?
Recent change in UI at algolia is making many functionlities difficult.

Indexing for resume parsing.

The user experience and ease of use. You do not have to be a marketing, SEO, BI analyses or any such role in understanding this platform

The need to install it 'in code' for it to function. Which is unavoidable.

Algolia search is good overall

The integration with Algolia search API was so easy and the documentation was extremely helpful and easy to get started.
Also, got a learning path on how does Algolia search algorithm works. There is an Algolia search academy for that!
The business representative was quick to on-board. Also, the pricing is great! Extremely economical.

What do you dislike about the product?
The search algorithm is a black box. Had to do a lot of hit-and-trial iterations. Also, don't understand how can I fully optimise the algorithm. Would need more case studies on this (industry-specific case studies to improve search)
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Search is one of the most critical features for an end-user to find out what they are looking for on any platform.
As part of this project; we have evaluated how effective our current search is. Based on the evaluation; we have found out that the relevance of the first search result for current Razorpay docs is 0.47 as compared to 0.80 for Stripe.
We evaluated a few search solutions and were able to achieve a first search relevance score of 0.87 with Algolia search API.
This project improved the relevance of our search results drastically and create a better experience for end users. The CTR of first search results improved by 10%.

Algolia is a very powerful search engine, we manage to set it up very quickly just by using our product feed

It seems to be magic, but if you want to be very efficient you have to train the user to do a good merchandising

I like the best part of Algolia is that it integrates with various platforms and frameworks, including popular content management systems (CMS) like WordPress and Shopify.

after all, Algolia is a powerful and reliable search engine as a service that is suitable for a variety of applications and websites. However, it may not be the best fit for projects with a large amount of data or those that require offline functionality

Its fast search capabilities are achieved through a distributed search network and real-time indexing, which helped me in my medium-scale project and for search index, it is beneficial to me.

What do you dislike about the product?
There is literally nothing I can think of. Algolia fits 100% with our use case and fulfills our all the requirements.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We're using Algoli as a primary internal search engine in one of our projects, And we need Insights into what people are searching for the most. Algolia does an excellent job solving this problem for us and provides us with valuable insights.
A “unicorn” with zero customer support. Lol
What do you like best about the product?
The product itself is excellent- when it works.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is no customer support, so when things go wrong you wait days for a response. Also their billing platform is buggy af, and has no notifications. So your service can be cutoff without warning, even when it's their fault for lack of adequate error detection systems.
It would be fine if there was a support team to swiftly respond and resolve issues, but there isn't, so lack of infrastructure and lack of support is a double whammy.

Search and Recommendation for users, obviously. Improve product discovery, shorten time to checkout.
