Jamf Connect has been crucial for us
What do you like best about the product?
Integration with single sign-on passwords with Azure. The very best part is the password expiration notices for users to know when their password is expiring. It's worked better than any other product we've tried.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes users report that the notification never came through. A better implementation of "password expired" instead of showing 0 days until password expiration would be a little more helpful from the users perspective.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
With the transition to a largely remote workforce, tools that sync only with on premise Active Directory are left in the dust. Integration with Azure Active Directory is the one it solved for us.

Jamf Connect makes it easy to integrate with your IdP!
What do you like best about the product?
Jamf Connect helps us keep our devices secure. It's pain-free to roll out and offers immediate benefits on company-owned macOS devices.
What do you dislike about the product?
It takes some time to properly configure, and of course requires the assistance of whomever manages your IdP.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Previously, while enrolling our Apple devices in MDM, users would login using their local account. Although there's ways of restricting this account and configuring sane defaults, we preferred if people would use their corporate identity instead, using the credentials they already use for all other applications and systems.

What do you like best about the product?
Integration with IDPs like Azure and Okta
What do you dislike about the product?
Jamf has to reduce the complexity of configuration like FileVault enablement etc.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Allowing users to use the IDP to login into the Mac.
The best solution to an annoying issue!
What do you like best about the product?
It allows me the ability to have users remember 1 fewer password while at the same time giving my endpoints more security!
What do you dislike about the product?
Honestly, I don't know of any major downsides!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It allows one set of credentials for computers. It also makes okta our major source of truth for everything. It also gives the ability for 2fa
System management made easy
What do you like best about the product?
Our IT dept does not struggle to assist end users any longer. We can remotely reset computer log-ins and troubleshoot issues.
What do you dislike about the product?
Getting our team familiar with the setup was a bit of a struggle. After several training sessions, we were confident that we could go live. Finding specific tools wasn't as easy as we would have liked, although the tools were there.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Response times have been cut in half since we can now do the necessary tasks remotely. Making the need for onsite IT 24/7 a thing of the past.

What do you like best about the product?
user interface, flexibility, different type of approach for all needs
What do you dislike about the product?
Documentation and training can be gathered in the same place as it's so many diff websites and sources

It is a good tool and trying hard to use it to the fullest of its potential.
What do you like best about the product?
Options that got in Jamf Connect when compared with Enterprise Connect. Integrations with multiple identity providers helps maca dmins to use Jamf connect to achieve zero touch enrolment.
What do you dislike about the product?
The initial account setup which shows local admins created at prestage and user initiated enrolments while creating local accounts making end users know about the accounts creating at enrolment.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The major one I can say is with IdP integration and smooth enrolment.
The best way to integrate IdP into your MacOS environment
What do you like best about the product?
Our institution is moving towards using one login (to rule them all) that can access everything the staff or student needs. Jamf Connect is a straightforward tool that allows you to do just that.
What do you dislike about the product?
There has been a bit of a rocky start with the loginwindow resetting, however we are seeing this less and less now. The only other thing is native extension attribute support for AAD
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Allows users to take their macs off campus to sign in for the first time. This means potentially, in the future, we can send devices straight to them. Also allows us to customise the login window to our environment
Jamf Connect is great!
What do you like best about the product?
I like that it's easy to use and connects everything together. For instance, I like that all of the assets for the user are tied together so I can easily search for them in Jamf Pro.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike that sometimes it loses a connection and the user has to re-log in.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It's solving the problem of having local accounts for each person and managing those local accounts can be a pain.
Jamf makes managing a MacOS environment pain free!
What do you like best about the product?
Jamf makes it extremely easy to manage your MacOS environment. With Automation through scripts, Access management, and easy deployment to devices remotely
What do you dislike about the product?
Jamf can have a bit of a learning curve to it and for new users it might take a few days to weeks to get acclimated to it
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Jamf Connect is making it easy to deploy apps to students and staff, it also allows us to set controls and restrictions on the devices so we know what students and staff are doing with it
