Jamf Connect really does worK!
What do you like best about the product?
Using Jamf Connect has allowed our users to login in with their Azure AD credentials.

I wish there was more logging within Jamf COnnect.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It solves our login and account creation process on the Macs.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you have an IDP and your users use Mac's, then you should definitely use Jamf COnnect.

Jamf Connect, Almost my PEAP
What do you like best about the product?
What jamf connect was going to solve for us was the fact that our macbooks local and user AD passwords kept desynchronizing. This would have been our best solution, plus it would give the user the ability to connect to wifi and resync their password manually without our intervention. This is a solid solution, just not for our environment.
What do you dislike about the product?
It did not work in our windows-based envrionment. We currently have a 2/3 windows based userbase, so we decided to go with a PEAP-type wifi connection. HOWEVER, this is the one type of wifi that jamf connect will not work with unfortunately. We tried many different work around and spend months on this attempting to get this to function but to no avail.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We needed this software to solve the password desynchronization issue we are having. We still have this issue currently and found some okay workarounds but this was our only real solution to getting this to work.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
This solution does work, we seen it first hand in a different environment. I just hate the fact ours is peap-based, thus rendering this useless to us.
Jamf Connect fixed Keychain issues and Zero Touch
What do you like best about the product?
In our institution, we have a web app to reset passwords and if you are a Mac Admin you can imagine how many keychain issues you can have. Jamf Connect fixed these issues where if they reset their password, Jamf Connect would recognize the change and would help the client sync their password to the local Keychain again. Also, this opened up the opportunity for Zero Touch. Another big feature is having the wifi at the log in which i still don't know why Apple hasn't added something like this before.
What do you dislike about the product?
Just takes a lot of time and testing and testing and testing to get it running in your environment. The price is also a factor however they do have an educational discount which we took advantage of.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Mentioned what I like best is how if fixed the keychain issues with Jamf connect. Also how we can authenticate outside our environment easily, we were able to not rely on binding our macs anymore.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you are looking for a way to customize your login and remove binding, an easy way to have Zero Touch SSO etc. Jamf connect is your App. If you have Jamf Pro already, I would conceder add this to your list.
Jamf Connect as a replacement for binding to AD
What do you like best about the product?
Jamf Connect as a replacement for Binding to AD works amazingly. We had computers that would frequently drop their binding to AD, and thus would not be available for use. This removes that issue. Installation is dead simple, and the onboarding team did an amazing job in helping to get things ready and implemented.
What do you dislike about the product?
Currently, I have nothing I dislike about this product. It works as advertised, integrates with our Jamf instance, and provides us the ability to have computers that users can log into.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are solving the issue of computer availability (being able to log in to computers with AD accounts). In addition, it allows us to force authentication on checkout laptops using Okta.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you're looking for a product that allows users to access to your network via an IdP, Jamf Connect is a great product. It removes the stress of binding to AD and the hassles of rebinding when the computers inevitably drop the binding.
All the features I need.
What do you like best about the product?
I used to use NoMAD and it was essential in a world controlled by Active Directory. Now I work for an integrator and Jamf Connect is ideal. I've used it to connect Azure, Google and Okta identities to Mac log ins. I've also found it perfect for both ADE and user-initiated enrolment.
I also appreciate the ability to customise the look and to run a script at conclusion so the rest of enrolment can get started. Finally, the ability to have password changes and resets in a menu is a great selling point.
Oh, I also think the documentation is pretty good.

What do you dislike about the product?
It can sometimes be fiddly to get an integration working 100%
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It solves the connection between almost any ID provider and the Mac. It makes enrolment easier and then users appreciate the menu app. It makes me look good to the customers.
Awesome for account creation and login security review on mac
What do you like best about the product?
I love that it solved the issue at hand around onboarding with new users. This way we didn't have to manually create new users, then delete them manually when they quit.
What do you dislike about the product?
It might be somwhat hard to configure as there isn't any straight ahead guide to set up the product. But the documentation around the product is good, so you do manage to set it up anyway
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We solved account creation from google as and ipd, so users could log onto their mac with their google account. and then again, automatically remove users form the mac when they un-enrolls from the school
Connection to 3rd party directories works well
What do you like best about the product?
It is an excellent plugin for authentication and connection with Google Cloud on our machines. As we have moved more services to cloud-based instances, this has been very helpful!
What do you dislike about the product?
Some of the ongoing patch management steps have added a few extra steps for deployment and upkeep, but nothing preventing us from being very happy with the solution.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The biggest problem we were solving was maintaining two different directories - one for user authentication locally on machines (LDAP) and Google Workspace directory. jamf Connect allowed us to remove the single-purpose directory for easier management.
