User-Friendly with Robust Automation, But Needs Global Consideration
What do you like best about the product?
I like that Iterable is fairly easy to use, making the process of creating customer journeys simplistic and not daunting. I find the Iterable Academy to be an excellent resource, along with the support function where the staff are readily available to help. The team is very friendly, super helpful, and patient, which enhances my experience with the software.
What do you dislike about the product?
I find it frustrating that the formats in Iterable are all in US/American formats. This makes typing dates in the format of MM/DD/YYYY annoying and seeing our revenue in $ instead of £ can be confusing. I also feel that the data presentation could be improved. I would like a more user-friendly interface that allows me to view and export data on purchases, email sends, or other events without having to rely on API calls. The ability to easily pull up a list of all purchases within a defined timeframe, and see them in a dashboard in Iterable as well as in Excel, would be very helpful. Furthermore, the Catalog feature is quite clunky—it doesn't populate suggestions efficiently when typing out certain products. Although I understand the reasons for these limitations, it would be greatly beneficial if the platform were more user-friendly.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Iterable to automate customer journeys and track campaign performance, helping me understand customer behavior and address issues like email delivery and voucher eligibility.

What do you like best about the product?
Iterable features an intuitive user interface, a convenient drag-and-drop email template editor and email journey builder. It also offers robust audience segmentation and a variety of reporting options.
What do you dislike about the product?
The options for sorting and searching campaigns could use some improvement, particularly once you have created hundreds of them. It would also be helpful to have the ability for users to generate events directly from the frontend. Usage limits on profiles, sends, and events require careful planning as you scale.

Efficient Marketing Comms with Room for Improvement
What do you like best about the product?
I primarily use Iterable for marketing communications, focusing on large-scale email sends to mixed segments. I particularly appreciate the journeys feature in Iterable because it offers multiple trigger options, making it versatile in solving various problems. Additionally, the layout is intuitive and allows for easy navigation, especially when viewing a journey for the first time, such as for quality assurance purposes. This comprehensive layout facilitates understanding and managing the journeys efficiently.
What do you dislike about the product?
I find that there is a lot of repetition required when building templates and lists in Iterable. This repetitive process can be time-consuming and cumbersome, as it lacks a seamless workflow. Although the feature of saved rows has helped reduce some of the repetition, it still does not facilitate a smooth and efficient experience. Implementing predictive text could significantly improve this aspect by streamlining the process of creating templates and lists.

Versatile Email and Notification Platform, Needs Heatmap Fix
What do you like best about the product?
I find Iterable extremely beneficial as it encompasses all the necessary core features I require, particularly for marketing emails, SMS, and web push notifications. I appreciate the regular feature updates that Iterable provides, as they often resolve minor issues we encounter, demonstrating their commitment to enhancing user experience. The quick response to known issues or bugs with timely updates is a significant plus, ensuring functionality and reliability. Additionally, I value the ability to submit feature requests, which makes me feel involved in the product's development and future enhancements. These aspects of Iterable contribute to a seamless and efficient marketing communication workflow, empowering me to connect with customers effectively by leveraging the data we have about them and ensuring communications are both timely and relevant.
What do you dislike about the product?
I have noticed issues with the heatmaps in Iterable not displaying the number of clicks throughout the email correctly. The discrepancy arises because the heatmaps UI was updated earlier this year, and depending on whether you view the updated or previous version, the number of clicks shown differs. This inconsistency makes it difficult to assess the effectiveness of different email elements, particularly when conducting A/B testing and reviewing heatmaps for tests.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Iterable to communicate regularly with customers, balancing frequency and relevant content. Its feature updates resolve small issues and allow feature requests.
Streamlined Email Marketing with Powerful Customization
What do you like best about the product?
I love using Iterable for its drag & drop email builder, which significantly streamlines our workflow, making the path from design to implementation quicker and easier. This feature allows us to efficiently construct emails without the need for deep coding knowledge. Additionally, I enjoy how snippets and HTML blocks can be utilized to personalize emails dynamically based on profile fields and event fields, enhancing the tailored experience for our audience. The data feeds offered by Iterable are invaluable for our operations, as they enable us to pull in necessary data on-the-fly from external data sources, meaning we don't have to store all of our data directly within Iterable itself. This flexibility allows us to manage and utilize our data efficiently, enhancing the overall effectiveness of our marketing and communication strategies. Moreover, I appreciate that Iterable has great tools for us to be able to construct intricate customer journeys, and provide us with the ability to create exceptional experience-driven campaigns propelled by moments-based marketing.
What do you dislike about the product?
I would like better insights for platforms and devices, as well as a way to drill down into the user segment that makes up a metric without having to build a bunch of dynamic segments in the list builder. We spend time preparing and customizing emails for all types of platforms, and it would be nice to know what type of devices to concentrate our time on. For example, if most of the opens come from iOS mobile devices, we will concentrate on making that better but also look at instances where we can make Android better. The drill down into user segments from insights would save valuable time when reporting to management. For example, sometimes we would like to know what type of users are unsubscribing. The only way to figure that out is to try to isolate those users in a segment which is complex and time-consuming.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Iterable enables us to build intricate customer journeys, streamlining email creation with a drag & drop builder. It enhances personalization through snippets and data feeds, improving efficiency and customer experiences in our marketing efforts.
Impressive Integrations and Clean API
What do you like best about the product?
It's wide arsenal of integrations and overral tidyness in it's api. It's also quite simple to understand when using features such as journey setup via drag n drop
What do you dislike about the product?
It may feel a bit slow at times (for example when waiting for events to propagate via the webhooks). Some design choices are questionable - templates might feel confusing when editing a campaign in a journey and not seeing those changes propagate to the template that journey campaign was based on
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It orchestrates our transactional messages that can be anything from lease/application status updates to payment reminders and info about received/failed payments. We also use it to debounce emails/sms as to improve our sender scores
Easy to Use, Creative Logic, and Outstanding Support
What do you like best about the product?
It's easy to use and straightforward. The handlebar logic is really dynamic and you can get very creative with how to use it and set things up properly. There's also a host of channels that you have access to whether that's email, push, SMS or WhatsApp. The support team and Customer Success team are also always super helpful, and quick to respond.
What do you dislike about the product?
The journey builder could be more detailed in terms of who is in the flow where they are, and where they exited. And sometimes there are a few small bugs. That happens, so nothing I really dislike.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Iterable is our main tool for all customer communication. Without it, we wouldn't have a scalable way to reach out to our customers.
Best-in-class Engagement Platform with Outstanding Support
What do you like best about the product?
Iterable is a best-in-class engagement platform that I would definitely select and implement again. It has become a critical part of our tech stack and our customer experience. Special shout-out to Claire on the CX team as well as the entire Customer Support team. The customer-facing teams have been amazing over the years.
What do you dislike about the product?
It could use some love on media management and data schema management but I know these are currently in the works. Also some better out-of-the-box reporting could be helpful.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is our primary platform for orchestrating customer-facing scaled communication. Onboarding journeys, transactional messages, crisis response, feature launch... We do it all from Iterable in a way that maintains brand consistency while driving business and customer impact.
