Bert's Cumul.io Review

  • April 20, 2020
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The graphic dosplay of the dashboards is very nice. Also the fact that these are interactive. The support is really great. In 1 day i get full support on sometimes the simpelest things. You get personal support.
What do you dislike about the product?
The differrence between the data table and pivot table is unhandy. It would be great if this would be 1 table where you can choose the table type but still have the features of both tables.
Sometimes the connection between databases and Cumul.io is lost. Mostly due an update of the databaseholder (Teamleader) Cumul.io isn't updated. We rely on the platform to check important data. When this is not updated we use wrong information in invoicing, timetracking etc.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
data reporting in the company and to clients
Recommendations to others considering the product:
great tool for repporting and an overview of your data custom made

Visualisation of data in fast moving business

  • April 10, 2020
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Integration possibilities in or own platform are a big plus
Implement look and feel in a customized manner which enables us as an agency to not only adapt each dashboard to our own internal guidelines but also adapt it to the brand guidelines of each individual brand we are currently working for

Customer care and speed of feedback and problem-solving are really fast. The chat option is always available for some quick and easy feedback
Creative and innovative approach in challenges of data visualisation
What do you dislike about the product?
No points we really dislike at the moment on a structural level
We see it more as durable evolution in the offering by Cumul.io to add AI possibilities in datasets

During our daily use, we often send out some remarks and requested evolutions of their platform. Some points we have mentioned are really minor in comparison with the global possibilities
- Have a 'clear all filters' solution when having a filter heavy dashboard
- Linking of datasets made more visible
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Visualisation and spotting trends more rapidly by using intuitive dashboards
Benchmarking KPI's throughout our different business models
Offer even a better transparant data-model to our partners and clients
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Use their test days to create some dashboards and discover the ease to deploy your first dashboards
Get in touch with your contact at Cumul.io and find out together what your main objective will be when using Cumul.io. They will guide you through this request and find out all posibilities.

Having a quick dash-boarding tool.

Early days but already a product we plan to rely upon for years to come!

  • April 06, 2020
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Our main reason for choosing cumul.io was the API-first design philosophy. Unlike other BI platforms that demand direct access to your databases or warehouses, cumul.io lets us create a plugin that acts as a translator between our data and cumul.io's query engine. We've then managed to pipe everything through our public facing APIs - the very same ones we expose to customers already, with little to no changes. This means as we extend our APIs to cover more of our data sources, our web-applications can make use of them, and cumul.io dashboards can immediately be built over that same data source. And if we change databases, or have different DBs for different purposes - even for the same notional type of data - it makes no difference to our BI whatsoever.

It's hard to over-state how important this form of abstraction layer is to a small company that will evolve over time. We're not locked into a particular database schema because our BI was configured to understand it; we're free to make technical choices behind the API-curtain. That's powerful, and cumul.io was one of only a small handful of BI providers that understand that need.
What do you dislike about the product?
The platform is young, and it sometimes shows. We've found a few bugs here and there, and the documentation hasn't always been up-to-date. On the other hand, the cumul.io team has been amazingly responsive - in some cases fixing these bugs the same day we found them!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use cumul.io to visualise customer data; current and historic. The main benefit has been to give us the ability to perform cross-filtering on different facets of information without us having to know the questions our customers want to ask before they ask them. With cumul.io we can pass data up to their platform, and filter part A on a subset of part B without changing anything at our end.

  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The user friendly interface
Lots of connections with different sources, such as SQL, APIs, etc.
Nice and fast support from the team
Beautiful drag and drop components
What do you dislike about the product?
To be honest, nothing so far. We are still in the beginning of the implementation.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We intend to embed the platform into our software to offer to our clients better dasboards and reports. Besides, we are planning to use it also to our internal needs of dashboards and KPIs.

What do you like best about the product?
We have just setup the dashboard, embedded into our product and the same is very responsive. We are planning to use it for a number of our other pages.
We have received excellent support from the Cumul.io team, especially Hela and Haroen(Founder)
What do you dislike about the product?
NA. We are satisfied with our usage of Cumul
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Dashboarding with charts.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Cumul.io is very responsive both the dashboards and the support.

Cumul is all about embedding

  • February 20, 2020
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Cumul makes it easy to create and manage dashboards. But the real value they create is when you start embedding cumul in your own software. Imagine cumul as the google tag manager of charts, business data and insights.
Integrate once and adjust, add and remove dashboards on the fly.
If you would run into any issue while working with cumul, the team is always ready to help.
The investment/return rate is very high if you compare it with the implementation of a full dashboarding experience in-house.
What do you dislike about the product?
We've had some issue's in the beginning with data not showing up or long loading times. Luckily these problems are solved at this moment thanks to the platform growing more mature overtime and the help from the cumul team.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We're using it to deliver detailed dashboards to our customers and also in-house to visualize our own business data.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I would highly recommend looking in to cumul when you're looking into buy vs build approach for customer dashboards. Cumul makes it easy to filter data by configuring variables in code.

What do you like best about the product?
Easy to use. No steep learning curve. Integration with Teamleader.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is nothing directly wrong.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Improvement of our internal operational functioning through reporting on Teamleader data, such as reports to detect errors, optimize invoicing, follow up with customers.

Simple but powerful

  • February 03, 2020
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Ease of visualising data. Connect your data sources, filter your results etc...
What do you dislike about the product?
Crossing/linking data,... is not well visualised, so better do this outside of Cumulio. The team has been offering the necessary support at times we required help though.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We implemented Cumulio as a way of visualising the impact our SaaS offers to our end-users.

Great for sales, marketing and finance control throughout our 8 regional offices in Brazil

  • January 31, 2020
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The ease of use will have your whole team hooked into creating beautiful visualizations of their teams performance.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not being able to apply the same filter to many elements. Not being able to edit the dataset within Cumul's interface when using a static excel sheet for instance.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Reporting for partners so they have some degree of predictability of their sales; analyzing team's and individuals performance as well as share it with directors; presenting revenue growth to the board
