Eppo has revolutionized our business

  • July 18, 2023
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
It's great to have the daily reporting as a result of Eppo - it has led to finding problems faster and getting more buy-in from stakeholders. The advanced analytics is also critical to making better decisions across our business.
What do you dislike about the product?
The updates are only daily, rather than real-time, given computing cost constraints, which limits some of the value. Also the fact that CUPED analysis isn't available (due to compute costs) on the explore graphs means that we sometimes present inconsistent data. Finally, three-way experiments could be better visualized (a vs. b vs. c, rather than a vs. b and a vs. c).
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Eppo gives great visibility into our experiments and has led us to make faster decisions. It's also helped gain adoption for experimentation by easing the analytics burden and showing stakeholders of the value.

What do you like best about the product?
Simple, straightforward and fuss-free way to run experiments.
What do you dislike about the product?
The calculated lifts for variation are differetnfrom when you manually calculate control and variation. And it is difficult to explain to stakeholders why.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Eliminate the need for running Python scripts to determine statistical significance between control and variation.

Healdess Experimentation Platform: Eppo - A Game-Changer!

  • May 21, 2023
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I recently had the pleasure of using Eppo, and I must say, it has completely revolutionized the way we conduct experiments and analyze data. This experimentation platform truly deserves a five-star rating for its exceptional features, seamless integration, and unparalleled support.

First and foremost, Eppo's headless nature makes it a breeze to plug into our existing data warehouse. The simplicity and ease of integration were astonishing, saving us valuable time and effort. It seamlessly connects with our data infrastructure, allowing us to quickly access and utilize our data for experimentation purposes.

Moreover, the setup and onboarding process with Eppo were lightning fast. The platform's user-friendly interface and intuitive design made it a joy to navigate. We were up and running in no time, ready to explore and experiment with our data effectively.

What sets Eppo apart from other experimentation platforms is the incredible support provided by their seasoned data scientists. The level of expertise and guidance we received throughout our journey was truly unparalleled. The support team was not only responsive but also went above and beyond to ensure our questions were answered and our goals were met. Their knowledge and understanding of the platform helped us make the most of Eppo's powerful features, allowing us to extract meaningful insights from our experiments.

Eppo has become an invaluable asset to our organization. With its headless architecture, seamless integration, and swift onboarding process, it has significantly streamlined our experimentation workflow. The top-notch support from Eppo's seasoned data scientists has been a game-changer, providing us with the confidence and guidance we need to succeed.

I highly recommend Eppo to any data-driven organization or individual seeking a comprehensive and efficient experimentation platform. It's rare to find a tool that combines technical excellence with outstanding support, but Eppo truly delivers on both fronts. Give it a try, and you won't be disappointed!
What do you dislike about the product?
One area where Eppo could improve is in providing a more streamlined way to translate insights into the plain language of stakeholders, such as product managers. While the platform excels in its technical capabilities and data analysis, a user-friendly feature or tool that simplifies the communication of key findings to non-technical team members would greatly enhance its overall usability and effectiveness.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Eppo solves several problems that greatly benefit me and my organization. Firstly, its headless integration capability allows us to seamlessly plug it into our data warehouse, eliminating the need for complex and time-consuming integration processes. This streamlines our workflow and saves valuable time and effort.

Secondly, Eppo helps lower the marginal cost of analyzing experiments. By providing a user-friendly and efficient experimentation platform, it reduces the time and resources required to conduct experiments and analyze the results. This cost reduction allows us to allocate our resources more effectively and focus on extracting valuable insights from our data.

Lastly, Eppo abstracts the statistical intricacies of experimentation, making it accessible to a wider range of analysts. This democratization of experimentation empowers more team members to run experiments, fostering a culture of data-driven decision-making throughout the organization. It enables analysts with varying levels of statistical expertise to contribute to experimentation efforts and drives innovation through data insights.

Eppo is intuitive, easy to use and has unlocked self-serve experimentation analytics at TuneIn

  • May 12, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
We previously used a home-grown tool for experiment analytics, but we found it somewhat brittle and often needed additional maintenance and support for configuring other metrics.
- Eppo made it easy to set up a collection of metrics that can be used across experiments.
- Handles all the statistics and is very robust, which led to increased trust and confidence in the experiment results
- Easy to use UX -- Made experiment analytics much more self-serve within TuneIn.
- Easy to filter and analyze by various dimensions.
- Periodic feature updates!
What do you dislike about the product?
- Facts and metrics can become challenging to manage once you have a lot of them. It would also be nice to have them version controlled.
- Some reporting around the status of Daily runs in the UI can be good.
- Can take up substantial resources in the warehouse, especially when you have a lot of dimensions. Maybe an option to select / de-select dimensions could be helpful?
- Occasional minor bugs but the Eppo team have been responsive and fixed issues as soon as possible.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Reducing the burden of experiment analytics on TuneIn's teams and helping us focus on other problems.

Save 0.5 - 1 full-time analyst salary per year

  • March 08, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Eppo streamlines experimentation and allows us to self-serve high-level experiment analysis. It makes our analysts more effective by reducing the upfront work they must do to set up every experiment. Their built-in sample size calculator considers several statistical factors, resulting in more accurate estimates for experiment run times.
What do you dislike about the product?
So far, Eppo has been great. We haven't found many downsides. Any platform that offers to automate an aspect of the experimentation process, tradeoffs can appear when experiments become very bespoke or complex. The Eppo team has been open and responsive to our needs.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Eppo is helping us cut down the time analysts spend setting up, running and analyzing experiments. As a product manager, I no longer need to constantly ask about the experiment's state. I can open Eppo and, at a glance, see the progress for each of our experiments.

Eppo also supports sequential testing, allowing us to peek at experiment results without creating bias.
