What a relief after searching for a great monitor program!!
What do you like best about the product?
The intricacies and ease (smoothness) of usage.
What do you dislike about the product?
The same things that I love about Instana can also be small stumbling blocks. For instance, when code shows up that I am not familiar with. I am sure we will use this to our advantage however, as time goes on and we tackle this learning curve.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Mainely hopefully FINALLY finding a program that can monitor (and of course soo much more!).

What do you like best about the product?
We can individually track each application we monitor with Instana. Its speed for reporting every error that occurs. It is handy to monitor a system composed of different services, especially if the teamwork is not clean.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes isn't easy to digest the large amount of data provided in real-time.
Its weakly reports about the health of the applications are poor. I prefer check daily reports.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use it to monitor all our cloud applications and servers. It is also helpful to keep one eye on our VMs because their CPU performance tends to drop during optimization tests.
On the other hand, we use Instana when optimizing the loading speed and user experience of the applications and pages that we develop for our clients.

Recommendations to others considering the product:
Please, talk to someone who has already used Instana or contact technical support. It is not complex software, but it is overhelming at firts.

It provides pod level monitoring and alerting for kubernetes along with a high level graphical view for management as well.

We deal with store operations, and we often get Instana alerts that ensure that our production services are stable.
We also use the frequency results for our reports in our internal meetings to analyze and take necessary decisions to improve the statistics.

The Instana website is very interesting to browse and if you have time to kill, you can discover and learn many new topics.

Instana is a well-built system used to detect and identify the problems that occur in the network.
It makes finding those issues so easy and convenient and provides a whole lot of analytics about the problem. From the time it started to its running duration, the total number of other services impacted by the problem occurred. And most importantly, the severity of the issue.
Hence saves time and eliminates the manual work required in finding all the details as mentioned earlier.

There's no such thing that I wouldn't say I dislike much about Instana. It's just too complicated when you start initially, but later with time as a user, it's easy to understand.

I use Instana in my work as an IT professional to find the real-time flaws/problem occurring in the backend of the whole Adidas network system.

Instana is a well-built portal, but I'm not too fond of the UI of the Instana portal.
It could have been better in terms of its aesthetics. The left-hand menu bar could be removed from there and could get converted into a collapsible drop-down.
