Good all around management / monitoring tool
What do you like best about the product?
As an operations person, I like the straightforward and wholistic views of our environment. The environment I'm in is not huge, but to be able to spot troubled VMs, and infrastructure, like datastores, is extremely helpful. Looking into the cloud integrations and business planning features, it seems well rounded for larger shops
What do you dislike about the product?
Doesn't get as deep into hardware integration as I would like. Would be nice to manage, say, storage from array to datastore, but that might be a lot of integration to ask for.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Visability, operational management, alerting, monitoring

The Future Is Here!
What do you like best about the product?
I love VMWare Cloud services. They are at the forefront of cloud innovation technology, and have come a long way since their initial roll out. I really enjoy the speed and accessibility of this software, as any platform can connect anywhere in the world with ample internet speeds.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is currently nothing I have found that I dislike about VMware Cloud Foundation. The pricing can be a subject of criticism, but for what you get in terms of service is unparalleled in the cloud tech community.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are actively using VMware Cloud Foundation for cloud-related solutions in the DoD. We are seeing faster, more secure access to information and data anywhere in the world at anytime. This is replacing data sharing via USB, CD, or e-mail-based techniques.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It is the best cloud service on the market! I would reccomend VMware Cloud Foundation to any organization looking to resolve cloud-related issues.

There is nothing that I just like about this veeam software product
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

Excellent Product
What do you like best about the product?
All the management features that make it so I don't have to go on site to manually reboot locked up computers.
What do you dislike about the product?
not much to dislike other than I was not too happy to see the html5 client is only partial and I would like to find a way to get 6.7 to open console in web and not remote when open console is selected.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Saving money because there aren't alot of resources going to waste. What one doesn't use another server can.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Try the evaluation to see just how great it is.
Powerful industry leading VM Management suite
What do you like best about the product?
Being able to quickly and efficiently manage VM tasks is crucial. Managing deployment/backups/updates is all incredibly simple. Snapshots make roll back and disaster recovery a non-issue. Reporting and monitoring tools allow us to view our environments at a glance and set threshold standards for performance and operation.
What do you dislike about the product?
I've personally not encountered anything that I dislike. My experience utilizing vCenter has always been a positive one. For the bugs I have encountered, support was able to quickly walk me through correcting them.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Management and administration of over 60 virtual machines/servers. The ease of use has been incredibly beneficial for us in terms of necessary tech hours.
VMware
What do you like best about the product?
With VMware, you will be able to virtualize machines, something really useful for creating a testing environment with multiple operating systems, for example, or even for a real production environment. The interface is very intuitive, and you will quickly learn to create virtual machines with different technical capabilities. The way it manages resources such as main memory (RAM), hard drives, central processing unit (CPU), and network cards is excellent.
What do you dislike about the product?
The problem with VMware is the high economic cost of the commercial license required for its use. It is possible to find equally valid alternatives with similar performance in the world of free software, which are free.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is used to have different machines to practice in client-server environments with Windows 12, and also to create servers with Ubuntu 18.04 LTS. Students can create private network environments and learn to manage them without the need to resort to a real network infrastructure, which would be much more costly.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Highly recommended for its ease of use and excellent management of different virtualized environments that hardly drop in performance.
vCenter Control for all
What do you like best about the product?
vCenter is a very easy to use system that lets admin users take control of their virtual enviroment, permission levels can be setup to limit access to users / groups and the system even allows AD sign in, within the vCenter you can control, setup and configure all your virutal machines, storage spaces, networking setups and lots more
What do you dislike about the product?
Easy to get confused and lost if not aware of what you are doing and due to the power of the system incorrect usage may cause downtime, sometimes the system 'assumes' you are doing stuff without question such as clicking to reboot or stop a VM, sometimes the system just does it as requested
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
vCenter is a mega bit of software, installed often on a physical machine but in later versions the vCenter can be put on its own VM and this provide a massive host of benefits but problems may be encountered if you have incorrect setups, I would recommend you hire a VMWare consultant if never used / setup before
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Def woth using VMware VCenter to control your virtual VMware systems, massive benefits can be obtained from this system, such as automatric fail over on physical host faults and alike

La posibilidade control de versiones y la manera en que se van lanzando sin complicar los procesos en producción
What do you dislike about the product?
que la interface sea algo más amigable y configurable a las necesidades
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
En el despliegue de las app a producción
We just started using VMware for 32 bit virtual machines
What do you like best about the product?
Flexibility and it is easy to use like I said this is first time I am working on it and since first day I was very much hands on to it
What do you dislike about the product?
so far no point for dislike but maybe speed
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
we need to run 32 bit virtual machine to run our legacy COBOL application. so we as a company recently started using vmware to solve this problem
Recommendations to others considering the product:
As I said earlier I am currently started working on it so cant say anything at this point
VMware vCenter review
What do you like best about the product?
Vmware is good robust software where I can create a hundred vmware servers on one host.
What do you dislike about the product?
vShpere web client is very slow, have problems logging in -- always complains about the browser outdated, java outdated, web corruption, compatibility issues, etc.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We keep 95% of the servers virtual in Vmware. It's very convenient.
