Great tool for managing engineering performance and visibility
What do you like best about the product?
Jellyfish provides a holistic view of my team’s work across PRs, issues, and KPIs. I especially like how it helps track AI usage, unlinked PRs, and resolved issues all in one place. It makes it easier to manage productivity, identify gaps, and have data-driven conversations with my team.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some dashboards can feel a bit rigid, and it takes time to configure reports exactly the way I want.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Jellyfish centralizes engineering metrics like PRs, issues, and AI usage, saving me time and giving a clear view of team performance. It helps me spot bottlenecks, celebrate wins, and make data-driven decisions faster.
Efficient engineering visibility with minor learning curve
What do you like best about the product?
Jellyfish offers excellent visibility into engineering operations by providing clear metrics around resource allocation, delivery performance, and team alignment with strategic initiatives. Its integrations with tools like Jira and GitHub make it easy to pull in data without any manual effort. The visual dashboards are intuitive and help stakeholders understand engineering productivity in a language that makes sense to both technical and non-technical teams. It’s especially useful for engineering leaders aiming to improve planning, track investments, and justify priorities across business units.
What do you dislike about the product?
While the platform is powerful, there’s a learning curve involved especially during the initial setup and dashboard configuration. Some customization options can feel limited unless you’re working closely with their support team. Additionally, depending on how your team structures Jira projects, data hygiene and tagging become crucial, which might require some internal process changes. That said, once set up correctly, the value becomes apparent.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Jellyfish helps us bring transparency and alignment between engineering efforts and business objectives. Before Jellyfish, it was difficult to quantify how much time was being spent on innovation vs. maintenance or support. Now, with integrated dashboards pulling from Jira and GitHub, we can clearly identify team allocations, delivery bottlenecks, and investment areas. This has improved decision-making for sprint planning, hiring needs, and communicating progress to stakeholders in a language they understand.
The best DORA metrics tool out there
What do you like best about the product?
As an engineering manager Jellyfish helps me enable the correct conversations with other engineering managers and executives. It's not like "oh your issue cycle time so low, your performance is low" but more like "what's making your issue cycle time be low compared to other teams?" Plug in Jira and GitLab. Make it work seamlessly. It works like a charm and we use it every week.
I haven't had to contact customer support yet because I haven't faced bugs. Maybe the only little thing is that some synchronizations take up to 24 hours to be reflected.
I haven't had to contact customer support yet because I haven't faced bugs. Maybe the only little thing is that some synchronizations take up to 24 hours to be reflected.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some syncrhonizations take up to 24 hours to be reflected, but that's just something minor given our use is weekly.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Setting up a good dashboard to standardize DORA metrics measurement across teams is very hard.
A very useful tool for management and analysis
What do you like best about the product?
What I like most about Jellyfish is the ease of use and the clarity with which it presents information. It allows for better visibility of projects, facilitates integration with other tools, and helps make data-driven decisions quickly. Additionally, its interface is intuitive and customer service has been very efficient.
What do you dislike about the product?
Although the platform in general is very comprehensive, I believe it could improve in terms of the customization of some reports and dashboards. At times, it can also take a while to load when handling a large volume of data. However, these are minor details compared to the advantages it offers.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Jellyfish helps us gain greater visibility over development projects, identifying where resources are invested and how they align with business objectives. This allows us to better prioritize, optimize time, and make more strategic decisions.
Jellyfish is a good way to track team and overall project pulse
What do you like best about the product?
Jellyfish offers useful features such as effective project management views and a clear perspective on team health. These aspects make it easier to keep track of progress and understand how the team is doing.
What do you dislike about the product?
The system depends heavily on linking Jira tasks, which can make it cumbersome. The information provided is often overly detailed, and it doesn't do enough to prevent issues with bad actors or bias.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It provides insight into which tools my team is using and how widely they have been adopted. It also allows me to see how my team's usage compares to the rest of the organization.
Boosts Team Efficiency with Room for Improvement
What do you like best about the product?
I appreciate how Jellyfish helps us track sprint velocity and provides metrics that improve our team's understanding and performance better than other metrics from Jira. The team page is also valuable, as it shows essential data about our work's pace, completion, and effort distribution, which enhances our process insights.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think we can rely more on the Jira status because nowadays, Jellyfish relies heavily on GitHub manifests. We have a good process where we follow the status of the tickets, so it would be beneficial if Jellyfish incorporated more of this. This would allow us to have additional metrics that we currently don't have, like the time spent in QA. Additionally, it would improve our ability to get better numbers related to our processes, enabling better control over how we manage each step. This limitation prevents us from fully capitalizing on the benefits of our established processes.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Jellyfish to track sprint velocity and understand team improvements better than Jira, seeing metrics that show where our efforts go, such as product evolution and technical debt. It helps us rely more on GitHub data and easily access ticket progress.

In the era of artificial intelligence, it is essential to analyze and promote the use of AI in the workplace. Embracing these technologies can lead to greater efficiency and innovation across various industries.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing till now. Everything aspect was clear to understand and use.

It assists me in analyzing and encouraging the use of artificial intelligence within my workplace.
performance of my activities regarding my team
What do you like best about the product?
ease in performance comparison
What do you dislike about the product?
navigation is a bit confusing at first
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

The platform is easy-to-use and intuitive, but the data is far from useful
What do you like best about the product?
Jellyfish is easy enough to use. The first time I used it I could figure out how to get the data I need.
What do you dislike about the product?
I've only used Jellyfish once or twice, because data is very hard to decipher and act upon. Benchmarks and data points are not clear even after talking to Jellyfish implementation consultant. Integrations are also a bit of a black box, as it's not clear what's the logic behind categorizing different Jira tickets.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I'm trying to benchmark the productivity of the team that I work in
Jellyfish
What do you like best about the product?
A lot of statistics in one place, easy access to statistics from multiple sources.
What do you dislike about the product?
A lot of potentially harmful metrics. To be honest, I think that metrics like: lines of code/number of PRs and so on are not so useful and can be harmful.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
One source of statistics, no need to gather statistics manually from multiple sources.
