What do you like best about the product?
It meets all the requirements when it comes to API management, it's a complete solution.
What do you dislike about the product?
UI/UX can be improved. Compared to other APIM platforms, WSO2 APIM UX is a bit complex.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is an APIM platform for designing, publishing, monitoring, and managing APIs while developers focus only on the development part.

single API platform to maintain all backend services, which includes different services like soap and rest.

It supports API design, API publishing, lifecycle management, application development, API security, rate limiting, API statistics view, APIs, API products, and endpoint connectivity.
Most of all, it handles responses to heavy service requests without performance degradation.

During the WSO2 installation, you need to install several products together. In addition, it is integrated with WSO2 Identity Server, so you need to know the basics of WSO2 IS in advance.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
WSO2 provides a clean and intuitive user interface for both subscribers and business partners. It is also compact with all API features like security, API console, swagger, etc.
It provides API Developer portal, API Publisher, Gateway and Key management functions, so It was possible to integrate and manage APIs that were previously used individually for each system by the customer within a short period of time.

What do you like best about the product?
It is easier to create and govern the entire lifecycle of APIs. It provides robust features like security, caching, rate limiting, etc.
What do you dislike about the product?
WSO2 needs to improve product documentation and training.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It's one-stop shop for all of our APIs across the enterprise.

I liked the new features API Revisions and API Product Revisions

While publishing API endpoints in the Publisher portal in the resources tab there is no option to select file content-type application/multipart data

Providing security by using OAuth authentication and Work flows.

To get a token we need to pass client-id and client secret in base64 format, here if we know client-id and client secret base64 format can easily be decoded so we can make some encryption and decryption processes for this.

It is very easy to create API s. It has a very good simple and clear UI to accommodate the creation of API s.

Sometimes it is very hard to find the relevant clear documentation of the features.

Support Matters Most
What do you like best about the product?
ADL has been using the open-source version for almost 4 years and has built a telco-flavored product over the vanilla version with many additional features including functional and non-functional. The flexibility of working with the teams, and the support extended by the team during escalations are highlight commendable.
We highlight appreciate the business team's support and co-operation of extending support in terms of Marketing, and Sales related consultancies from time to time.
Another element is the invitations extended to us to join in their forums, and webinars from time to time to impart updates and knowledge is also highly appreciated.

What do you dislike about the product?
The product is perfect. nothing to complain.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As a partner of WSO2, We are using the existing WSO2 Open Source API Management platform by adding the telco-based flavor, like the Whitelisting feature, including the observability stack, to provide insights to both the technical and business users. Our API Manager has been branded as "Axonect API Manager" to our customers.

This would be an ideal product, easy to adapt and work on.
Dynamic Open source Product
What do you like best about the product?
The best thing is the Open-source nature of the product, which makes it more dynamic.
Update tool is the another most favourite feature of mine which makes the product more stable from a security as well as user's point of view.

I think we can have a little more detailed documentation for all the wso2 products.
Clarity on what all features are added to the newer versions and what all is deprecated from the previous one.
Note:- Writing this because there were situations when the same feature is not working properly in the newer versions and we don't have any place to get that info from.

One of the best platforms to provide virtualisation of APIs with the best security mechanisms and provide proper control to the API developer for their APIs.

What do you like best about the product?
At TTH Consulting Services, we have recommended & implemented WSO2 API Manager to our clients for their API Design & Management needs. What do you dislike about the product?
With the recent release the UI has been improved for ease-of-use. Hence, the concern that we had with WSO2 API-M has reduced to a large extent. To some extent the Administration of the product can be further refined.

In their quest to digitally transform their organization, one of client has already implemented WSO2 API-M as the API management solution of choice for managing the life-cycle of all its APIs across the world-wide organization applications.
