Efficient Project Management Tool
What do you like best about the product?
I like that it has all the functionality of Excel and the simplicity of a collaboration tool.
What do you dislike about the product?
The mobile app could be a bit more responsive when filling out sheets. It works well just wish the UI was more efficient so we don't have to carry laptops around to use it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It's a great collaboration tool and allows my team to update each other on current projects. The mobile app allows us to update the sheets in real-time without using our laptops. It also let's us manage workflow items so that we make sure processes are working as efficiently as possible, and that they are being completed accurately.

What do you like best about the product?
I like that it sends notifications of changes on the sheet; that I can build a form connected to the sheet which connects to the form; that I can share certain sheets with others to collaborate on projects; that there are grid and card formats and timeline templates that I can use which make starting projects much faster.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't like that I can't transfer ownership to someone else on the project and that my company limits licenses because they're expensive. It's too hard to go through the hoops so some accounts just go sitting stale after people leave and no one can get access to that account. I don't use all of the functions so I can't speak for all of the bells and whistles but I'm glad it's simpler to use than Excel in many ways, but maybe it does need some extra features that are only available on Excel.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Collaboration is a huge plus. Many of us can access the sheets and we can create interractive projects which can be fun and useful instead of just a boring spreadsheet.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Give it a try. It's like Excel, only better if you're using it to collaborate with teams.

Easy to collaborate with others on projects, status updates; real time sync; rule based automation and notification save you time on some of the manual tasks

I am just a basic level user so could not think of anything that missed my expectation

We are using SmartSheet for project management and status updates - it's just easy to collaborate
Very useful for multiple users to share the info at the same time.

It can upload and download and convert into excel. And it can set up for the nofiticiation.

Editing is not as easy as excel, such as quick filter

Share the real-time data with co-workers and edit by multiple users at the same time. You do not need to wait to edit one by one.

What do you like best about the product?
Workflow management and the ability to create sheets that feed into specific reports. Our team runs weekly reports based off of these numbers, and this saves me a ton of time on Mondays.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish you could track when emails are released.

What do you like best about the product?
I enjoy the versatility of the program and its ease of use. The support from Smartsheet representatives has been excellent as well. They always respond in a timely manner and are very informative.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike that in order to add sheets to a dashboard you have to first create a report from the sheet and select each column you want included in the report. It would be easier if the report automatically included all columns and you have the ability to remove any afterward.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am using smartsheet to visiually represent material, equipment, and facilities information and drive discussions/ meetings. I've realized that smartsheet is a great place to collaborate with teammates and update in real time.

What do you like best about the product?
The easiness on how to organize and update all project items. The ability to upload documents for each item, which results in a very easy way to track everything in one place. It also has the capability to share with other with ease and make them part of the process.

Not much bad that I can say about.

A Versatile Tool for Project Management with Minor Limitations
What do you like best about the product?
The notifications feature is great for ensuring all team members are aware of upcoming deadlines and keeps us all on track. I like being able to customize when each person receives their notification before a deadline, meaning that everyone has the advanced notice they need to complete the task. I also like the contitional formatting features to keep the sheet clean and organized with little front-end effort. I don't have time to make those small changes to the sheet throughout the project, and conditional formatting makes it a breeze. The integration with other tools like Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and various third-party apps streamlines workflows, enhancing productivity.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish there were a way to have multiple pages within a sheet, similar to Excel. I've had several occasions where smaller projects are linked to a bigger project, and having "sub-pages" attached to the bigger project in one sheet would have kept each of those smaller projects more organized and cleaner. I would also like to see those sub-pages have custom permissions so that one person could have access to a sub-page but not the entire project.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I'm able to keep my sanity with Smartsheet. I work with multiple departments and outside vendors, and being able to keep my work organized in Smartsheet means I'm using a lot fewer sticky notes. I can assign tasks to outside departments, keep track of due dates, and easily make adjustments by dragging and dropping rows or changing task statuses.

Smartsheet is a robust tool that is useful for project management and task organization, whether you're a team or an individual. The community and knowledge base are invaluable to learning the product and making full use of all of the features and tools within the platform.
