Has an extensive collection of dashboards that are very easy to navigate and use.

What do you like best about the product?
* Versatile tool designed for business users to use with minimal training and without IT support

What do you dislike about the product?
* New apps are not always fully baked with released and don't follow the logic of existing apps. It creates confusion for users.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We streamlined our PMO process by building templates (project plan, weekly status report) and executive summary reports used across the organization to drive client readiness. In a short amount of time (less than 6 months), we removed frictions and escalations in the organization.
We built a customer request process in Smartsheet that supports growth revenue by giving the right level of information (via notifications, approval workflows, etc.) to account management and ultimately resulted in cutting deliver turn around time and increasing client satisfaction.

Recommendations to others considering the product:
I would recommend mapping the processes you are building in Smartsheet to identify gaps and pain points before starting the implementation. I'd also recommend for the first implementation to add a launch package to your agreement and benefit from Smartsheet consultants through the process. And lastly, I strongly recommend getting certified as it will give you a basic understanding of Smartsheet.

What do you dislike about the product?
every task owner requires an account. sometimes the customer is a task owner and they are not using smartsheet so you have to force them to use the tool

The templates!! I've been a user of Smartsheets for several years now and have only recently discovered the templates feature. This has been incredibly helpful for other tasks that I normally would do outside of Smartsheets.

I don't really have any faults. Smartsheets has steadily covered all bases for the things that I need.

Immerse yourself into it. There is so much functionality available.
Very good so far. It is super clear to see the progress, tasks, timelines, etc. Super cool tool

The easiness to view the overall picture; The ability to coordinate with different teams; The capability to keep track of progress; No competitions, but complementary

sometime time is hard to change just because the lines are under a section. Maybe this is an advantage to force me changing the time for all lines.

What do you like best about the product?
Smartsheet has solved multiple workflow bottlenecks, increased productivity, added valuable insight to multiple areas in our company that needed eyes as well as positively influnced our sales program and kept sales organized in a way we were previously missing which has boosted sales and increased profit.
We are also learning about WorkApps and will be building ours out in the near future which is super exciting!!
When and if we run into a snag the customer support is second to none! We have always been very well taken care of, never left hanging waiting for a reply and issues are solved quickly without issue.
Our team has dealth with several different programs and platforms over the past 6 years and by bringing Smartsheet in we were able to cut out three other (expensive) programs because Smartsheet offered better options that suited our needs and are easy to use and impliment into our everyday workflow.

To be completely transparent there are not things I dislike about Smartsheet. There are things in every program and platform that could run differently and/or smoother at times, however, with Smartsheet I do not find myself saying that much at all.
Currently there is nothing I can say I dislike, I am more than happy, as is out team!

Several months ago we were able to terminate our user agreement with a different older and bulkier CRM program and bring that information to Smartsheet.
I spearheaded the project in order to not only save money for the company, but more importantly, to make our sales process and customer management tool fit our needs within a program that is intuitive and user friendly for all.
I was able to automate a workflow that puts information where we want it which enables the team to stay in the know when it comes to sales & sales trends. We have been able to create reports that give us the information we need in order to focus our energy in the right places and strategise for current and future success of our company and the clients we serve.

SmartSheets is the best project management tool.
What do you like best about the product?
I like that there is now an app for my computer, tablet, and phone. I always have access to it and it updates in real time. I like how easy it is to use, and everyone that I share a Sheet with understands it seamlessly.
What do you dislike about the product?
I have 20+ projects that I am managing. I like to "set a reminder" to remember certain deadlines. When I get the reminder in my email, I don't know what project the task is for. I wish the project name could come with the reminder.

Amazing product for tracking, displaying and sharing data
What do you like best about the product?
Smartsheets work great at tracking data and presenting it in an easy-to-read format via dashboards options with charts and graphs. We primarily use it to create forms and track responses. We use the workflow feature to assign tasks for each form response to make sure it's reviewed by the appropriate people and completed. Having a dashboard feature makes it easier to visually share large amounts of data and information. We utilize our dashbaords to have forms, important information/reminders and data all in one snapshot.
Working in higher education, we often have to share data accross colleges and this makes for a much better solution than other options. I like that the data can be shared across teams and that you can manage who has access to specific items.
Smartsheets also offers several different types of pre-built templates that you can utilize instead of starting from scratch. These can be helpful if you can find a version that works for your needs.

What do you dislike about the product?
It does not have quite the same functionality as Excel, so if you are looking to splice your data in different ways, it is not the best tool. Also, I have run into issues with copying and pasting data from excel, which makes for more work to type data out manually. I'm used to pivot tables and quickly adjusting the information so this take a little more time to finesse the information.
Smartsheets also require a fair amount of training to understand how it works. If you are tech-savvy, you will likely pick it up faster than others. Once built out, Smartsheets functions better for those who are less technically inclined. They do have some templates but they are for a very specific purpose and not suited to some of the situations we need. I have been able to use them to as a starting point but it can be cumbersome to edit. It's almost as much work to start from scratch.

If you are looking at Smartsheets as a tool for your business, please know that this is a great product for tracking data, assigning tasks and presenting data. I think it works best for those doing more analytical reporting work but it can also be used to collect data and track different types of information.

What do you like best about the product?
Smartsheet is incredibly easy to use. For the basic user, it is as easy as creating and editing a spreadsheet. It is also easy to build in workflows and processes without having advanced coding experience. Smartsheet listens to its users and continues to improve their platform. After reviewing several platforms, we found that Smartsheet covered the majority of our needs all within a single platform. Our team members have found Smartsheet very easy to use and implement across their groups.
What do you dislike about the product?
One thing that is incredibly disappointing to me is how segmented it is. The functionality is broken up into different "apps," and each app is an additional cost. So yes, Smartsheet has a ton of functionality with the purchase of all the add-ons. I would prefer an all-inclusive solution!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use Smartsheet for our project schedules, proposal development, PTO scheduling and approvals, and other request management.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I would advise you to give Smartsheet a try. Sign up one of your smaller teams for a 30-day trial and use it for a specific workflow or process. Also, it is essential to remember that Smartsheet is NOT Excel!! Use the workflows and automation to manage the process. Create reports to pull the data you need and place those reports on a dashboard. The reports are live! Adding items and marking items complete should be completed from within the dashboard, and the sheet itself is essentially the database.
Great tool for timeline management
What do you like best about the product?
It is a great tool that you can use for timeline management and making sure you hit your deadlines on time. It is easy to share, download, and add others to the sheet -- making timelines is so smooth and easy with Smartsheet!
What do you dislike about the product?
I really dislike how in the calendar view, you can't view the entire task name. It just truncates it and doesn't let you wrap the text so you can read the whole title! If this feature was fixed, I would be able to use the calendar feature with my colleagues. Without it, I can't use this feature.

I am using Smartsheet for timeline management and creation. The platform is extremely beneficial for project management responsibilities. I can create, edits, and access the timeline with ease, which makes me productive when using the product.

I would recommend this tool to others if the task name in the calendar view didn't truncate.
