Fantastic Experience
What do you like best about the product?
Using smartsheets is a fantastic tool for communication with several users and sharing of information.
What do you dislike about the product?
Learning smartsheets was not tricky but took some time to be well understood.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have solved problems with the complex process of sharing information. Users see real-time changes and can be kept in the know no matter where they work.
Great way to quickly organize and collaborate with teams
What do you like best about the product?
The flexibility; it's easy to add and sort information, as well as tag colleagues to specific tasks or line items. The sync to Saleforce is a game changer too; very easy to use.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish there were more hotkeys or shortcuts. Its closest comparison is Excel, which you can operate much faster. Additional integrations with portfolio management tools, like Addepar would be nice. I do not like the difficulty of creating formulas which reference other sheet - it is way too manual.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We're replacing menial Excel files. We track and monitor projects more productively using Smartsheet. However; Excel is still better to use when needing more advanced analyses.

Honestly, I can't think of anything I dislike about this service.

What do you like best about the product?
I love how customizable Smartsheet is—it adapts to whatever I need, whether that’s building a detailed content calendar, tracking campaign tasks, or collaborating with others in real-time. The ability to attach files, add comments, and set reminders all in one place makes it incredibly efficient.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes it can feel a bit overwhelming when setting up a new sheet from scratch, especially with so many features and options. There’s a bit of a learning curve if you want to get the most out of it. Additionally, there are a variety of formulas you need to know in order to maximize your usage of it and create dashboards and smartsheets that feed into other sheets.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Smartsheet is solving the problem of scattered marketing workflows and disconnected tools. Before, I was juggling spreadsheets, calendars, email threads, across different platforms. Now, everything lives in one place—campaign plans, deadlines, assets, comments, and progress tracking. This not only saves time but also improves collaboration and visibility across the team. It helps me stay on top of timelines, avoid bottlenecks, and ensure nothing slips through the cracks. Ultimately, it’s made our marketing projects more organized, efficient, and easier to scale.

i would like more flexibility in the grid design, like having multi-dimensional columns (can have column titles inside of column titles)

Smartsheet has created one place where several departments can align on one work document. 1 stop document where all departments and colabarote and keep upto date with any changes made.

Sometimes the features are hidden/obscrured. There is definitely a learning curve.

Collaboration in a live document vs. sharing versions of a spreadsheet back and forth.
Living in Smartsheet
What do you like best about the product?
This tool is amazingly user-friendly. Navigation is easy, building a document is very convenient. I like that all functions have a learning opportunity attached if you need help.
What do you dislike about the product?
Honestly after working in MSP for a few years and switching to Smartsheet, there are very few things I dislike. More of the inconveniences, there is no way to manually expand the cells in height (like in excel). Also, wishfull thinking if you could highlight a word in the test in the cell.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use Smartsheet in Program Management. We use grids, reports, portals with all possible views. We create the roadmap for product launches and manage each launch with a project plan for the deliverables. Team lists with contact info, task tracking, calendar view for the in-office schedule; you name it, we utilize it!
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Take the basic user courses at Smartsheet university (great tool) and follow along in a sandbox environment. This will help your decision.

What do you like best about the product?
It allows me to program screeners and easily share information with my recruiters and clients. The spreadsheets are easy to use, and information entered through forms populates effectively.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are instances that I use Google over SmartSheet because of certain features SmartSheet does not offer. I wish there were a way to make suggestions to improve functionality. With a few improvements, I would use SmartSheet for all of our projects.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use Smartsheet to track our database and for programming screeners for studies. It allows us to access and share the data collected easily. The ability to export to Excel and Google sheets is helpful.

An excellent tool for our market research company for the purposes we use it. It's very user-friendly and easy to use.

What do you dislike about the product?
Many items that I would like the program to do have been requested for multiple years by other users, and many ideas would be helpful, but they never get implemented by SmartSheets.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The problem we are solving with Smartsheets is the ability to track projects and progress. It gives us one place to look at company overview.
