Take your spreadsheet to the next level
What do you like best about the product?
Easy to share data and process with internal users and external users via "the cloud" instead of trying to pass a file around and worry about versioning. Also easy to manage users and their permissions.
What do you dislike about the product?
It is still a spreadsheet and is often misused as a full project management system. Not a lot to "dislike" but need to understand where it is a good fit and manage expectations accordingly.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Coordinating and communicating with customers outside of our organization. Easy to create a Smartsheet and invite external users to participate in the "conversation."
Powerful tool
What do you like best about the product?
Smartsheets is like any collaborate spreadsheet software but better - you can attach files to rows, you can set permissions, you can pull data from several sheets into a report or dashboard.
What do you dislike about the product?
You can't hide rows, that's the biggest problem for me.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Project planning, resource management, and daily team communication all through smartsheets, as well as some other tools.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
go for it, talk to the suppor team, they're fantastic.

What do you like best about the product?
I think one of the best things about Smartsheet is its flexibility. It combines elements of spreadsheets, project management tools, and workflow automation all in one platform. You can easily organize tasks, track progress, and collaborate with teams in real-time. I also like how it allows users to customize their workflows and create reports with ease, so it fits well across different industries and use cases.
What do you dislike about the product?
One downside of Smartsheet is that it can be overwhelming for new users due to its range of features and customization options. It might take some time to get used to how everything works, especially if you're coming from simpler spreadsheet tools like Excel or Google Sheets.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Smartsheet provides tools for team collaboration within the platform. Users can comment directly on tasks, share files, track approvals, and get notifications on updates. Everything is centralized, and communication stays within the context of the work. It ensures smoother communication, reduces the need for endless email chains, and keeps everything organized in one place, improving team alignment and productivity.

What do you like best about the product?
How easy it is to link data from different tables. I like that you can work in a separate space and create directories in it. That I can work with my colleagues in the same space online without integrating more complex solutions.
What do you dislike about the product?
New points:
1. I would like to be able to set catalogs for reports and if any projects will come into, reports will automatically poll it as the new additional source. Currently, I have to do it manually.
2. I wasn't able to resolve the issues with the cross pages references issue, I can't use two sources in the one formula or even two different columns in a one-referenced project
Old one :
1. Working with formulas is very difficult, sometimes it is not possible to run the formula, although it is obvious that the syntax is correct.
2. In order to do simple actions, you need to go through a complex process. For example, in order to print a sheet with the names of tasks directly in the working field of the Gantt chart, you need to create a separate report, and only through it will it be possible to carry out this simple function. But even if you do all this, you won't be able to see the current dateline. There are many such shortcomings.
3. I don’t like how difficult it is to make a dashboard and add the necessary information to it.

It was possible to create a single company milestone chart in difficult ways, but I just won’t go with it anymore, since the tool is quite difficult to work with

It is easier for operational work and does not require complex implementation of programs such as Microsoft Project.

Integration with google and being able share the project plans.

Nothing at this stage, I am happy with the tool.

Smartsheet - your software solution!
What do you like best about the product?
My personal favorite capabilities of Smartsheet are the ability to create and craft to fit various needs of your business. From project management, metric/KPI generation, data display, automation, premium application add ons such as automatic PDF generation, customizable views with Dynamic View. Once you understand how everything fits together within Smartsheet, the possibilities are endless. It's fairly simple to get set up and Smartsheet has a great university & learning area, including forums to help you troubleshoot.
What do you dislike about the product?
At times, some functionality is not present. The Smartsheet team is consistently building out new features and functionality and users can submit product enhancement requests, however if you are looking for a specific item, at times you need to put on your thinking cap to figure out a workaround. Most of the time there is a solution out there, however you may need to seek it out.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We utilize Smartsheet as a project management tool to control our workflow. It has allowed us to integrate and see operational increases in efficiency and more insight into the process as well as better understanding of our workflows.

Run a test run - a trial is available. If you're struggling, try reaching out to a Smartsheet Expert or Consultant to get their opinion on if it is the right solution.
Smartsheet is a life saver
What do you like best about the product?
Smartsheet is easy to use and easy to manage. The feature that allows you to email others to track their activities is amazing.
What do you dislike about the product?
I do not have the ability to know when task has been completed automatically. smartsheet, to my knowledge, does not give you the ability to mark a task complete in anoterh program that transfers into smartsheet.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
smartsheet has allowed me to solve the problem of repeating information in separate sheets. For example, I can add links from sheet to sheet for tracking items that are predecessors on different projects.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you are trying to decide between Microsoft Project and Smartsheet, this is the toll to move forward with.
Great tool for Project Managers
What do you like best about the product?
Best features of the tool is the project management templates. Project plans are easily done through the template Smartsheets offer. With date dependencies, it makes PMing easier than doing this on Exce than other tools.
What do you dislike about the product?
It's seems a bit slow compared to Excel. Excel is faster to use. Sometimes it gets difficult to choose between the two platforms even though SmartSheet offers more features.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Using this for project management. We use it for project plans, RAID Logs, weekly status reports, and dashboard. It's an easy tool to collaborate with others and share information.
Great piece of software
What do you like best about the product?
Easy to share and very easy to update. Feature-packed.
What do you dislike about the product?
I would like to ability to make links more user-friendly with Microsoft Teams.

Great benefits for sharing schedules inter-company and intra-company.
Fantastic for automation
What do you like best about the product?
Smartsheet makes it extremely easy to keep track of reports. It being a web-based platform means that it can be accessed on any computer or mobile device which makes it easy to share and collaborate with people.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some formulas and logic that some Excel-centric users may be used to will take some adjusting in Smartsheet. The nice thing is that there are plenty of resources available to help with this.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am using Smartsheet to automate my reports by having specific data points be automatically emailed to those in my team when there are changes. This dramatically saves me time by not having to send out emails.
