Scytale is helping us streamline and accelerate our SOC2 compliance process by centralizing everything in one place and automating the most time-consuming parts of evidence collection and control management.

The platform was easy to use and comprehensive.
Ashna Jeeva was very helpful and professional - she assisted me with everything I needed. We met on a weekly basis and we implemented together the controls and integrated the system to everything.

The whole process of my soc2 audit was using scytale and it helped me with any aspect.
Streamlined Audit Management for Big 4 Firms
What do you like best about the product?
The best thing about Scytale is the centralized and automated evidence collection, it cuts down on manual requests and eliminates chaotic file sharing. This means less time chasing documents and more time focusing on control testing and analysis, making my entire SOC 2 review process significantly smoother and faster.
What do you dislike about the product?
I occasionally experience some lag on the website when reviewing evidence, and there are also times when the site is down. However, overall, the website holds up well against its competitors. It would also be very helpful to have access to the people screen as an auditor.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As a SOC 2 auditor, I see Scytale primarily solving the problem of Audit Evidence Collection and Continuous Monitoring, which benefits my firm by reducing fieldwork time and increasing evidence reliability.

It makes the audit much easier to review & to accept

I wish the preview feature was easier and more convenient to use. Sometimes, you have to download the evidence or open it in a new tab, which can be a bit inconvenient.

Excellent Experience Working with Scytale on Our Compliance Journey
What do you like best about the product?
We worked with Scytale to go through the HIPAA Compliance, ISO 27001, GDPR, and CCPA audits. So far, we have successfully completed ISO 27001 and HIPAA, and I would like to highlight the excellent work of CJ Bergs. She was always available, guided us based on her professional experience, and helped us achieve great results.
With her support, I was able, as the CIO, to build a solid ISMS framework, and we are now looking forward to the external certification.

What do you dislike about the product?
The only downside I can mention is that the platform is still a bit raw and could use some improvements. However, the most important thing is that the team actively listens to feedback and implements updates to ensure the platform’s stable operation.

User-Friendly with Efficient Dashboard and Integration
What do you like best about the product?
I appreciate Scytale for its competitive pricing, which offers a more affordable solution compared to other vendors we considered. The majority of the integrations work smoothly and are easy to use, which makes setting up and utilizing the software a simplified experience. The integration capabilities, especially with tools like GitHub and AWS, are crucial given our needs, and while some aspects were initially complicated, many integrations were flawless. Moreover, having guidance from experts like Stefan was incredibly helpful, as he provided clear direction on obtaining necessary information and identifying actionable steps. This kind of support significantly aids in compliance efforts and auditing processes. The dashboard and integration features of Scytale stand out as particularly useful, streamlining various auditing tasks and facilitating better management of our compliance processes.
What do you dislike about the product?
I found that some AWS integrations with Scytale were a bit of a headache. While some integrations were flawless, others were more complicated and weren't updated even though everything on our end was done as required. We had to provide print screen screenshots to prove the integration was on and connected, which was frustrating. Moreover, some fixes are needed with their integration parts, as some functionalities appear not visible even though they are already integrated.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I find Scytale streamlines our auditing process, providing helpful guidance and easy integrations, particularly for compliance needs, although AWS integration can be tricky.
Scytale from a SOC Auditor Perspective
What do you like best about the product?
As a Big 4 SOC Auditor, I experience a great sense of relief whenever my clients choose Scytale as their platform. The interface is user-friendly and intuitive, making it easy to navigate, and the integrations significantly speed up my audit process. The GRC professionals at Scytale also contribute to a more enjoyable audit experience, as I frequently collaborate with familiar team members and develop ongoing working relationships. Over time, they become well-acquainted with my preferences for evidence presentation. Throughout my auditing career, I have worked with many individuals at Scytale, including Oron, Tom, Adar, Robyn, and many others. Thank you Scytale for making my life a little easier every day at work!
What do you dislike about the product?
Occasionally, the website experiences problems with loading evidence and tends to be generally slow on their end. I also wish there were an option to navigate to the next picture in the control monitor using arrows, instead of having to close out and manually open each image. Additionally, having a button to pre-load all evidence at once would make audits much faster, especially on days when the internet or Scytale is running slowly.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As a SOC auditor, I use Scytale daily to guide clients through the SOC process. I have become very familiar with the platform and have interacted with many of its employees. Their support significantly speeds up my work, especially when it comes to collecting evidence, since they often handle this through the Scytale GRC instead of requiring my direct involvement. Additionally, they help prepare Section 3 of the report, getting it about 90% complete before I need to finalize it, which saves me considerable time.

What do you like best about the product?
One of the aspects I like about Scytale is the personal touch they provide. Having a dedicated person allocated to assist me through the SOC 2 audit process is invaluable. This support makes dealing with auditors and collecting necessary evidence much more manageable. The dedicated personnel make themselves available for anything, easing the workload significantly and bringing a level of confidence and assurance that the process is being handled professionally. I also appreciate how Scytale makes the SOC 2 process and auditing seamless by taking over interactions with auditors and helping to manage security, privacy, and vendor reviews. Even with integrations being a bit challenging, the involvement of a dedicated person has been crucial in figuring things out and streamlining the process. This personal element makes Scytale a strong choice over other platforms I've used in the past.
What do you dislike about the product?
I find the integrations with Scytale could be improved. The process of setting it up is a bit more challenging compared to other tools because the integrations are not as seamless. Additionally, there are many tasks that could have been automated, specifically in evidence collection, where I currently need to upload a lot of screenshots and other materials manually. From my experience, other tools handle these aspects better.

I use Scytale to make the SOC 2 process and auditing effortless. They handle auditor communication, help collect necessary evidence, and provide a dedicated person to assist, easing my workload and boosting my confidence in security and privacy tasks.
