LastPass is terrible software
What do you like best about the product?
When it manages to not fail on the most basic services.
What do you dislike about the product?
Everything is a downside. Bad ui design through the service. Makes me sign up *multiple* times for a single login. Terribly unintuitive ui to find and create new passwords. Terrible ui concept where you need to refresh the page in order to use it. For my use case I have to open a separate tab and have it blank just so I can use the browser extension.
If it manages to not make me log in a literal nine times in a day, then I'm happy. Horrible. I've had times where I log in and it simply takes me back to the screen to login after I've validated myself on the phone app.
Writing passwords down on stickies and typing out safely randomized passwords would be less work by a large amount. I've never like a piece of software less.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Well, I need a password manager. Is it benefitting me? no.
Workable but UI is difficult
What do you like best about the product?
It is a secure place to store passwords and has integrations like browser extensions.
What do you dislike about the product?
The UI is not great, it is very difficult to find what you need to edit, mostly around the user management and access.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Lastpass solves the problem of securely saving passwords and other sensitive information for company team use.
Extensive feature set and reliable, marred by bugs and performance issues with workarounds
What do you like best about the product?
LastPass is extremely helpful for safeguarding secrets and coordinating shared accounts across our small business IT department. The vault search features are extensive and reliable. The Edge extension in particular has worked on every site thrown at it. The history feature prevents losing credentials from mistakes. Being able to share between employees in our department has been a massive boon. We use this constantly every day. Setup and implementation was trivial as well.
What do you dislike about the product?
3 major bugs/issues are present. Going by support forum posts the issues have been reported many times by many users over the years and are still not resolved.
While they all have workarounds, the delay they impose could be problematic in time-sensitive situations, especially when experiencing them for the first time.
The vault takes a VERY long time to load if you have many entries. Adding a new entry also takes a very long time from clicking the "Plus" button to when the window appears. This can be mostly bypassed by searching within the extension dropdown itself and opening the entry you need directly.
Sometimes the clipboard integration of the extension completely breaks. This can be fixed by toggling the extension being active in private windows on/off. This persists through reboots and affects non-private windows even if you never use private windows.
Sometimes the extension logs you out for no reason. The login screen loop-refreshes every 10 seconds or so and takes 2 minutes to load again before you can try again. This state can also trigger an account lockout which requires you to wait 30 minutes or contact an admin in your organization. Sometimes the login screen loop can be resolved by restarting the browser, sometimes not.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Credential security for hundreds of devices and sites. Coordinating shared accounts for various departments. Secure shared notes on infrastructure.
Easy to use secure password consolidation tool
What do you like best about the product?
LastPass is an easy to use platform to consolidate all my passwords and site logins. I like that it is secure with 2-factor authentication and that I can use Last Pass across browsers and computers. I also appreciate that I can separate corporate and private passwords but still operate seamlessly across both sets of credentials.
What do you dislike about the product?
Setting up the browser extension can feel like an extra step, especially when I work/live across multiple computers. Corporate constraints from some of my clients can limit my use of LastPass on other systems and as I become more reliant on LastPass I remember fewer passwords which can make operating on systems external to my LastPass environment harder.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use LastPass to securely consolidate site links and passwords for my corporate management and private web use. This makes it easy to start my corporate management tasks from one location (e.g., quarterly tax payments, invoicing in web-based systems, various reporting tasks) and means I don't have to store passwords physically or in a less secure manner.
Indispensible security and productivity tool
What do you like best about the product?
LastPass makes creating and storing secure passwords for all your sites across multiple devices easy. I have hundreds of passwords and this isn't easy to do otherwise. Using the business plan, I can share sensitive passwords with members of my team. The business plan also includes a free family plan.
What do you dislike about the product?
The admin section is clunky. Signing in on a new device can take a while but I suppose that is for the best.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Storing and using a large number of secure passwords. Creating secure passwords. Sharing passwords selectively with my team. Generating 2FA codes.
It's a good product when it works.
What do you like best about the product?
The abundance of features is nice. Especially all of the auto-fill options.
What do you dislike about the product?
The darkweb monitoring is next to useless and would be more useful if it provided more information than just "your email address has been discovered" without any more information than that.
When an update is pushed to the browser extension, it seems to break it more times than work on the first try. This will result in the extension not working anymore. Supports go to response is uninstall and reinstall the extension which does usually fix it. It's just a pain when doing it for a corporation.
It's also concerning that they've been hacked twice.
Some function seems like they're just done to be able to check a box saying they offer it rather than an actual functioning element.
It would be nice for the API to be able to read and write to secrets.
I dislike how frequently they break their product with updates.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
LastPass helps keep passwords out of browsers and centrally manageable when onboarding and offboarding users.
My company's goto password manager
What do you like best about the product?
Multiple things:
Sharing of logins
Notes
Full iOS, Windows, Android integration

What do you dislike about the product?
The security breach in 2022 shook confidence. But their response was sufficient and we continued on and are very satisfied.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Organization wide password management.
Have reliably used LastPass for personal and business since 2016
What do you like best about the product?
I use LastPass daily for both business and personal. It takes the irritation and insecurity out of password management. When creating a new password, it quickly and easily suggests a secure, jumbled password, and saves it in the Vault so you don't have to memorize or insecurely save it somewhere. It allows you to easily maintain unique passwords rather than duplicating passwords across different websites. Implementation is easy via the Edge/Chrome browser extensions or Android/iPhone apps. On my Samsung Galaxy, I quickly sign in to allow LastPass to pre-fill passwords by using my fingerprint; I don't even need to enter my master password.
What do you dislike about the product?
From the browser extension, the "copy password" function doesn't always copy as it should. And they just increased their price to $102/year so a price increase is never cool.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Storing and pre-filling passwords securely while maintaining unique passwords across different sites and apps.
Overpriced & SCAMMERS - They REFUSE to cancel my subscription
What do you like best about the product?
NOTHING. Password sharing does not always work.
Price gouging. Keep increasing the price "so they can improve the product". What is there to improve? We just want our passwords kept safe. Nothing more.
Also, there is no way to cancel the subscription on their APP.
I have put in a request to CANCEL the subscription, and they HAVE TOTALLY IGNORED ME. I have sent a reminder, and I am betting they are just going to take the money out of my credit card.
Costs have trippled since I first subscribed. They have not added a single extra meaningful feature.
What a ripoff

What do you dislike about the product?
Total ripoff
Prices keep soaring
Supposedly they are "improving" the product. Total rubbish.
There is no way to cancel the subscription in the APP. I have asked ages ago that I want this to be cancelled, they have not bothered to reply
Customer support is non-existant. I tried to get them to help me with other issues in the past and I just gave up, because they never fixed my problems or concerns
Money grabbers
Much better, less costly password apps out there

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Not benefitting me at all
Giving me EXTREME anxiety because of the outrageous cost and no way to cancel
Despite having 4 licences, only 3 licences worked. When others tried to use it, they kept saying "it should work". Basically they charged for a licence that did not work. They never fixed the problem

LastPass makes my life easier
What do you like best about the product?
The password generator is super effective, and the accessibility across devices (with the paid tier) makes day to day operations so much easier! Deploying is super easy. The integration with browsers and the mobile phone's operating system also makes things super easy to manage, even for non-tech-friendly users.
What do you dislike about the product?
It would be great to have an anonymizer feature that can auto-generate aliases for email accounts. This would provide extra security.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Having such an easy, straight-forward way of managing different passwords for each service gives our team peace of mind. We have some users that aren't very "techy", and they've been able to get used to this and start securing their accounts by using the password generator. It's allowed us to push for different passwords without it becoming an unbearable task for the team.
