Unmatched Flexibility for Tailored Solutions

  • November 05, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The flexibility to choose the services I need for a specific solution. I could select all the services I need to provide the best experience for our customers. Especially for huge projects.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes the pricing model is quite complex and it is often a challenge to consult our customers in the area. Another smaller problem is, that there are no best practices for a fast setup exists.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The SAP Business Technology Platform provides extremely comfortable development features and allows us to deliver solutions or POC very fast to our clients.

BTP

  • November 05, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
BTP is an open framework covering a lot of different topics. The BTP IS is a good replacement for PO and its good that Edge Integration is now there but there are very limited use cases. Needs more please...
What do you dislike about the product?
There is no On-Prem version. All clients do not want to be in the Cloud because of the nature of their business and want to have SAP in there own data centre
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
BTP IS is providing a great way forward for many clients as a replacement for PO but also creating issues as its all SAAS based. Not all clients want their data in the cloud.

SAP Process Automation Streamlines Workflows Efficiently

  • November 05, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
SAP process automation is a valuable feature. I also enjoy creating custom apps and services using SAP Build. The drag-and-drop functionality for building apps is excellent and makes it especially appealing for low-code and no-code developers.
What do you dislike about the product?
I believe SAP process automation should incorporate more artificial intelligence. The process of moving from development to testing and then to production is not very straightforward, and it could definitely be easier.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I develop robots to handle boring and repetitive tasks. RPA robots take over these jobs from customers, so they no longer have to perform such tasks themselves. This allows them to focus on more efficient and meaningful work.

Seamless Integration and Innovation with SAP BTP

  • November 05, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
What I like best about SAP Business Technology Platform (SAP BTP) is its seamless integration of data, analytics, artificial intelligence, and application development within a single, unified environment. It empowers businesses to connect disparate systems and transform data into real-time insights while maintaining security and compliance. The platform’s flexibility—supporting both SAP and non-SAP applications—allows organizations to extend, customize, and innovate without disrupting core operations. Its low-code and pro-code tools make development accessible to both business users and professional developers. With built-in scalability, cloud-native services, and intelligent automation, SAP BTP accelerates digital transformation, enabling enterprises to innovate faster, improve decision-making, and deliver better experiences across their entire ecosystem.
What do you dislike about the product?
What I dislike about SAP Business Technology Platform (SAP BTP) is its complexity and steep learning curve, especially for new users or smaller organizations without strong technical expertise. The platform’s vast range of services—while powerful—can make navigation, setup, and integration time-consuming. Licensing and pricing models are sometimes unclear, leading to unexpected costs when scaling solutions or adding new features. Customization often requires specialized SAP knowledge, and documentation can be fragmented or overly technical. Additionally, performance and compatibility issues may arise when connecting non-SAP systems, making seamless interoperability challenging. Some users also report slower support responses and limited community resources compared to other cloud ecosystems. Overall, while SAP BTP is robust, its sophistication can hinder accessibility, agility, and cost efficiency for certain businesses.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
From Tech Mahindra’s perspective, SAP Business Technology Platform (SAP BTP) solves key challenges around data silos, integration, and innovation across complex enterprise ecosystems. It enables seamless connectivity between SAP and non-SAP systems, allowing real-time data access and unified analytics that improve decision-making. By leveraging SAP BTP’s AI, automation, and low-code development tools, Tech Mahindra can accelerate digital transformation for clients, build scalable industry-specific solutions, and enhance operational efficiency. The platform also simplifies application development and extension, reducing time to market for innovative business models. With its robust security, compliance, and cloud-native architecture, SAP BTP supports Tech Mahindra’s goal of delivering intelligent, sustainable, and future-ready enterprises. Overall, it empowers us to provide clients with smarter insights, improved agility, and greater value from their digital investments.

Flexible Platform Supporting Multiple Languages and Frameworks

  • November 05, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The openness for different kinds of development language and frameworks and the flexibility about the used services. In the end I like that it provides a virtual workplace for a developer
What do you dislike about the product?
The downside for me as developer is that the cost structure is in one place higher and more complex than it is in The old world and that it is not possible to see the costs before hand when trying to activate a service. And from the cost owner we always have the problem to map the items from the invoice to the service
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It helps us to create new Apps not directly connected with the OnPrem Backend and from the user point of view it helps to have only one single point of entrance into the SAP world

Simplicity at Its Best

  • November 04, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I really appreciate SAP Business Technology Platform for its ability to seamlessly integrate various data sources and applications across the enterprise. Its flexibility allows me to build, extend, and innovate quickly without heavy infrastructure management. The platform’s tools for analytics, AI, and process automation provide a strong foundation to make data-driven decisions and enhance overall business efficiency.
What do you dislike about the product?
SAP Business Technology Platform can sometimes be overly complex and difficult to navigate for new users. The learning curve is steep, and without proper documentation or training, it can be challenging to fully utilise all its features. Additionally, certain integrations and configurations feel cumbersome, which can slow down project implementation. Performance can also vary depending on workload, which occasionally leads to frustration.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) helps me solve several key challenges by providing a unified environment for data management, integration, and application development. One of the primary problems it addresses is the difficulty of connecting data from multiple systems, both SAP and non-SAP, into a single source of truth. This integration enables more accurate and timely insights for decision-making.

Another challenge BTP solves is the complexity of building and extending applications. With its cloud-native environment, low-code/no-code capabilities, and prebuilt services, it allows us to rapidly develop, adapt, and scale applications to meet changing business needs without heavy infrastructure investments.

The benefits we experience include streamlined business processes through better system connectivity, faster time-to-market for new applications, and improved data-driven decision-making. Additionally, the platform’s analytics and AI services enhance automation and predictive capabilities, helping us optimise operations and respond more effectively to market demands.

Great Integration with SAP, But BTP Stability Needs Improvement

  • November 04, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
In our S4 journey, we try to stay as close as possible to sap standard and tooling. BTP offers the services to easily connect to the backend and build apps on top
What do you dislike about the product?
Unfortunately, some BTP services are not running stable enough. Still, a lot of downtimes and services degradations. SLAs are sometimes breach, but still to often. DR scenarios for core services tricky.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Extending core erp processes, building the bridge to suppliers and customers via integrations and apps. We also run central Hana in the cloud to serve different use cases
