Powerful and Flexible
What do you like best about the product?
AirTable has been an incredibly powerful tool for our team which just gets more and more robust the more features we utulize. There's a learning curve in the begining on how to best structure your data, but once you understand how different data sets can relate to one another via Linked Records, it becomes easy to expand your workflow on the fly as needed in really powerful ways. We've been able to combine multiple workstreams into one space as a result. Automations elevate the experience dramatically if you know how to implement them, and interfaces take the whole thing to the next level by allowing for really custom UIs dependent on who needs to use them. We really appreciate the consistent updates with new features added frequently.
What do you dislike about the product?
Broadly speaking, I'd like to see AirTable do a better job empowering the more casual users of the service to do more complex things in an easy way. Because there's a learning curve to do the more complex stuff it tends to land on the same people to create base, interfaces, formulas, and automations. Being able to create templates where certain relationships are already set up and automations are already turned on is key.
The number one piece of feedback I hear from my org is that commenting needs an overhaul. Having comments tied to records is great but having those comments buried in the UI is not. Not having resolvable comments or a view of comments across the base/interface makes tracking comments really difficult for power users.
From the perspective of a "creator" (someone building the bases/interfaces) here are some top requested features:
- Allow bases to be duplicated with automations already turned on
- Allow user to disable automation error emails
- Allow for those with editor status to create dropdown options
- Allow the newer interfaces pages to use a field in the data source to display in the grid/gallery/etc. like the original interfaces allowed with the record picker.
- Allow more complex automations with multiple if/then layers and repeating actions.
- Add a video timecode format to the duration field for video projects.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
AirTable allows us to track our video edits on a clip by clip basis based on a timecode range. Our system allows video editors to export a status report of filenames and timecode in and out points of their latest edit, then airtable is able to identify matches with footage that already has been added to the system or create new clips for footage that hasn't been added. This way information on each clip is able to stay in one place and simply be updated with version information in a field, which can then be used for filtering and sorting as needed.

Powerful Content and Project Management Tool
What do you like best about the product?
Airtable is great for maintaining one record of an item that can be used and viewed in many different ways. It really solved our duplication problem. Individual pieces of work or content can be viewed/used/updated across teams and departments and the way those teams interact with that record can be very customizable. It is a fantastic content management and project management tool. Our team uses airtable everyday.
What do you dislike about the product?
Depending on how big your organization is, I would recommend a lot of preplanning on how you build its funcationality. We started building our airtable a few years ago and as new features continue to come out we're building on a system that is maybe no longer as streamlined as it could be. Figuring out how to reorganize users, bases, and interfaces is a daunting but necessary task at this point.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use airtable is a record and content management system. It is funcational across teams and allows different teams to use content in a variety of different ways while keeping all the work related to a peice of content in one central record.

Airtable is a great tool for quickly viewing and manipulating data
What do you like best about the product?
One of the best features is the integration with many of the cloud-based apps we use; I am able to pull in data from multiple platforms, combine it, and then display what I need. It's easy to use and easy to share the data in tables or in a dashboard. The online community and knowledge base normally answer all of the questions I have and offer good tips for improving workflows.
What do you dislike about the product?
The cost is the only downside, it has almost doubled since we started using it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use Airable to handle returns inventory and collect data on why RMAs are happening, it allows us to view the RMA cycle from start to finish
Flexible, multi-use data management.
What do you like best about the product?
The highly flexible nature of the program makes it a great solution for a team looking to find one progam to collect, store and make use of their data.
What do you dislike about the product?
Because its so open-ended, the onboarding learning curve is fairly steep.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We needed to create a dashboard for our training staff that travels frequently. We were able to create a dashboard that includes their travel logisitcs, details on the school they are working with as well as statistics for how much they are on the road.
Powerful tool with steep learning curve
What do you like best about the product?
I love the amount of customizations and automations available.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is a steep learning curve, it takes a while to learn how to make it easy for teams to use.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It allows all verticals in our marketing org to use the same process but tweak the process and views to the needs of that particular vertical. It also saves time in a lot of operational tasks through automation.
Amazing tool that is worth the learning curve
What do you like best about the product?
Airtable is an amazing tool that is worth spending time to learn and integrate. One of the best functions is real-time Data syncing that provides users the latest and greatest data, all the time. Automations and Interfaces are also game-changers that could transform and elevate whole jobs.
The basic concepts are easy to grasp, especially for users familiar with data and information. With all the product features and updates, the possibilities are endless, and that's where the magic lies - you can almost certainly find a solution within Airtable for any project if you know everything it has to offer.

What do you dislike about the product?
There is a steep learning curve, and resources for enterprise seem limited. Disclaimer that I am not privy to all the resources are available to my company, but trying to get formal training for Airtable regarding functions and integrations within our company, has proven difficult. I am also aware of the learning resources that Airtable provides to the public, but with all the product features and possibilities, there is clearly and prominently a huge learning curve that presents a barrier of entry.
This is a big problem to me, especially since Airtable's biggest magic seems to show when mulitple users need to and are working with the same data in collaborative ways. Without sufficient training, Airtable users widely vary in proficiency, creating knowledge gaps anywhere and everywhere, and the product is usually not able to present its full magic.

Working with enormous amounts of information all the time. Getting real-time and accurate updates from upstream functions that is required for my team on a daily basis.
Airtable: The power of a database with the feel of a spreadsheet
What do you like best about the product?
I keep coming up with uses for Airtable: aside from the obvious project tracking and portfolio planning, I also use it for surveys, submission forms, directories, galleries, libraries, repositories, and more. I even use it at home for groceries and baseball card collecting.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are a few features I'm waiting on, but they're pretty minor cosmetic things.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
For years I struggled with the need for a customizable project tracking system. And then I found Airtable. It gives me the ability to organize every thing I work on just the way I want it, and the ability to share it with colleagues.
Airtable is a flexible, valuable tool for the advancements of my projects.
What do you like best about the product?
My favorite aspect of Airtable is the ease of use. The word intuitive is often used to explain software and services, but in the case of Airtable, this term fits. I have spun up new initiatives, forms, and processes in less time than I had to spend ideating and process planning. This has enabled great flexibility and accessibility in my projects and reporting. It has also enable the teaching and transfer of project management duties easily as roles have changed.
What do you dislike about the product?
I would improve the update cadence and communication of changes to Airtable. Updates happen often; some may see this as a benefit of the team improving Airtable. For my part, I have had instances where the location of the feature I am looking for has changed or been removed/replaced overnight leading to situations where I appeared less capable in the tool.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The main problem that Airtable has solved has been collecting responses from diverse teams and making actionable tasks from that form. Previously we have relied on manual recording of question and answer sessions that led to discrepancies in those questions. Having a cohesive single source of truth has helped keep projects on track.
A flexible database solution for a diverse set of use cases
What do you like best about the product?
My favorite thing about Airtable is the Interface system. It allows us to expand our use of Airtable accross the organization with low friction. The Interface is much more user friendly than the data side of things, and really allows builders to create database apps for teams to use.
What do you dislike about the product?
My dislikes ultimately come down to relatively minor and specific functionalities that are not possible in Airtable. In my experience, these have been improved or address in relatively short order through the regular updates made to the platform.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Airtable allows us to record and present data to teams in a coherent and easy to view format. The greatest benefits are consolidation of information and easy viewing of data. Our teams are able to find what they are looking for quickly and take action on that data as needed. This is all done in a collaborative fashion, allowing for less friction and erorrs.
